Hi players! How's you candy collecting going? If there still are some players you haven't asked for candy yet, hurry since tomorrow is the last day of the event! What next? Save your candy and you shall find out soon enough what you can exchange them for!

In other news, as you can see, this month we are getting a really high number of new decks. This is partially responsible to why the release is so late this month - the deckmakers were pretty much flooded with donations! To make sure that the deckmaking team can handle the amount of decks that gets donated without losing sleep, we decided that we'll be hiring at least two new deckmakers.

Do YOU have what it takes to be a deckmaker? Well, do you:
- only have MSPaint on you computer?
- find it hard to keep deadlines?
- absolutely hate group projects?
- only want to make decks from series you know and of characters you like?
- only want to work with high quality images?
- have very little time?
- think you might lose interest in this after a month or two?

If your answer to any of the above is "yes", you might want to reconsider applying, but if you still want to try, just PM me and you'll be asked to make a sample deck.

Last month we were trying out a new lottery system for scrapbooks. Which do you like better? Do you think we should stick to one or mix them up? Also, would you say that three scrapbooks per month is a good number? Maybe there should be more or less? How many scrapbooks per month should we have? Three seems like a good number of scrapbook decks per month! I don't really have an opinion either way on the method of donating, but I can see the point people are making that the lottery system seems fairer to people in different time zones or who aren't usually around when the donation posts go up.

Also this month's scrapbooks were the first time I participated, and I kind of like the lottery system. It gives everyone who comments a chance instead of whoever happened to be on when the post went up. Three a month seems okay to me, since more will probably be taxing on you guys and I think 3 is a decent variety for us.

I like both systems for scrapbooks! I don't have any strong feelings on the number of scrapbooks aside from the fact that one more per month might help more people feel included, but I like the idea of mixing it up between lottery system (where the downside is that someone can get unlucky for a number of releases in a row) and a more straightforward donation system (where the downside is that someone might miss the post).

As for the question: I think the new system is better than the one before. It gives everyone an equal chance to get a card in. Though it might be a good idea to restrict those who were chosen the month before for not donating next month, perhaps? That way there are more chances for everyone. I also think three is a good number of scrapbooks to have per month.

To be honest, I can see the pros and cons of both scrapbook ideas. Having it be first come first serve means that if you miss the post, you're not going to be able to donate. But having it completely random lottery means that you possibly could be unable to donate for multiple months in a row. Maybe doing some scrapbooks via lottery and some via the old method might work? As for the number of scrapbooks, I don't have any really strong feelings. I'll take lightside17.

I personally prefer the first come, first serve method, but I feel that the lottery system is more fair to everyone. It gives people more time to think over their donation and donate what they want, without exuding people who have limited computer time. There are people who only check once every few days, so it'd be nice for them to have more of an opportunity. I'll be taking cakes09 as my scrapbook card.

I agree with the idea that, for the scrapbook donations, perhaps there should be a little bit of both lottery and first-come-first-serve donations, in the interests of maximizing fairness and opportunity alike. Usually, the themes are really cool, but I personally have found that there was not a lot of interest in the scrapbook decks this month. I saw a lot of colors_trade slot posts go without the special slot being filled, which usually doesn't seem to happen -- food for thought, I suppose. Three or four are good numbers, but I think that having all scrapbooks this month be seiyuu decks instead of a variety of themes (plus maybe one seiyuu deck) was probably a bad idea.

For that bit, I'll take, uh... quality07!

One thing I noticed was that in the lottery, I was worried that if I submitted Character Aiko to Scrapbook 1 and Character Bill to Scrapbook 2, if I ask that Aiko be my choice if I'm chosen, then not only will I not get my Bill submission, no one else can submit Bill. So I think we should go back to the 'one scrapbook donation per month' system, with the caveat that if a deck doesn't fill within a reasonable time, donations from those who donated to other decks can be opened up.

I think three scrapbooks a month are fine ... and I like the new system, because it gives more people a chance to get cards in? Colors is so huge that I think it's good to try to award as many people as possible. Obviously more scrapbooks would make that easier too, but ... I think three is a decent sweetspot.

Donated) I donated the images for both kawasumia09 and sekit19 and they somehow both got used! Is it alright to take both? D: Taking just kawasumia09 if not!

I think I actually prefer the original system! The lottery system seems to mean that some people may not get their scrapbook images used for a few months in a row, like others said, but also it means that others can't donate characters you did and it may mean they can't be used. I know I wanted to donate a character for one of them but didn't want to block it from use (as it wasn't my highest priority) so I picked someone else. That way, if someone else donated it, it could be used. Turns out two of my donated got used anyway, but that wouldn't normally happen. With 4 or so scrapbook decks a month, I think that would be plenty of slots for everyone, and if they aren't filled after a few weeks they can be reopened to people who already donated, and I think that would work better. Taking yanderes18!

We actually only had 40 individual players submit to the scrapbooks this month, which is probably a bit my fault for choosing a relatively limited theme. I tried to use other images of characters submitted by players to fill in the last few slots but in the end I did run out of time, which is why two of yours were used—please only claim the one, thank you!

I'm pretty new, so I'm definitely not an expert on the current systems for the scrapbooks. ;u; But I think a consistent lottery system would work pretty well! Three scrapbooks per month seems pretty good, too. I personally think any sort of system would work so long as it's a consistent system, and that it's fair... Lottery and randomization definitely is the most fair to date! That's my opinion, anyway--

I personally much prefer the new system for scrapbooks! I've been playing since July and this is the first time I've been able to donate to one. I think the inefficiency of a first-come-first-serve system is just a result of the rapidly expanding playerbase and isn't feasible for how big we've gotten since around the time I came in.

The way I ran lottery didn't choose your submission, but rather YOU, the player. I also requested that players specific their preferred donation, which means that, in your example, Character A would always have been selected.

We're taking feedback because this is the first time we've used lottery, so thank you for your thoughts.

I really like the new system! I would say maybe 4 decks a month is something that could be experimented with, that's a little closer to the regular amount of active people that respond to games, I've noticed.

I definitely like the lottery system more for the chance to donate even if you're not fast. There have been a few times before when I would have liked to donate to a scrapbook but missed the opportunity because of my timezone. As for number, three seems good to me!
