Its that beautiful time of the year! Happy Early Halloween! Everyone, please remember the reminder I posted in the middle of September! This PoG doesn’t have any card gathering, but keep in mind for future PoGs! You won’t notice until December, but with all the wonderful new mods, other mods will be taking over PoG different months! No, this isn’t because I hate running it now, it’s because PoG was originally divided! I didn’t want to hog the game to myself! You will still see me, when a month hasn’t been reserved~

Enough rambling! Lets get onto the game!

Congrats to everyone who completed last month's tasks! Good job, guys, keep up the good work :3

The object of the Pot of Gold is to complete different "tasks" that will be different every month. You'll get small rewards for completing them individually, but receive bonuses if you manage to complete all of them. How much of the rainbow can YOU complete? :D

- Everything collected and turned in for these tasks must be done and logged in between Oct 1st - Oct 31st* So you've only got one month!

- When turning in your cards, please post both the card name AND the card image! This is to make sure I'll be able to keep track of the cards that are turned in. Please, this helps so much.

- When commenting here after completing a task, make sure you label your subject with "Completed", as well as the "color" of the task you finished. Also, make sure you let me know if you've completed all of them so I can give you your extra reward!

- Please give me a link to your logs with every comment you make.

- Pot of Gold tasks can only be turned in when the round is open, so that means that after 12:01AM on June 1st, you can't turn in anything even if your tasks were completed and logged in May! Even if you were on hiatus. It's just like with normal games, you can't reply to them once the round closes.

- Also, most of the prizes you obtain from Pot of Gold are valid for a set period of time. Special deck donations, however, are an exception - think of them as tickets that you can turn in regardless of when it was won.

* : If you make a comment at a service or games but do not receive prizes until after the start date, I’ll still accept them!

Orange Rewards: 6 cards

>> Max out Deck Donations

Yellow Rewards:  3 cards

>> Answer 20 games correctly. (Provide links)

Green Rewards: 5 cards

>> Master 2 Decks.

Blue Rewards: 4 cards.

>> Turn in 1 Crayon and 4 Sketchpads

Purple Rewards: 5 cards

>> Grab cards from RA for 2 weeks. (You don’t have to grab 6 cards each time, but you must visit 2 SEPARATE times.)

Brown Reward:  3 cards

>> Draw a picture or write a fanfiction!

Gray Reward: 1 crayon! (Bonus: 3 cards if Colors character is dressed up for Halloween, or has treats from Halloween!)

You can earn up to a total of 30 random cards and  1 crayons for completing the tasks for this month! This doesn't include bonuses.

Completing all the tasks will earn you an additional 7 random cards, 2 random crayon and the GRAND PRIZE!

Grand Prize: Special Deck Donation privilege OR 2 Extra cards for 2 games of your choice!

GRAY: Draw a picture or write a fanfiction! (bonus: is dressed up for halloween/has treats for halloween)
Gin-sensei stepped back from the machine with a look of triumph. "It lives!" he shouted, albeit to no one in particular, fists raised in the air in scientific triumph.

His Halloween costume was usually not particularly exciting -- last year he had gone simply as a mad scientist, as he had also done the year before that, and the year before that. The year before that, he'd gone as Dr. Blackjack, but the face paint had been pretty irritating and distracted him from his work, which is why he'd resolved not to wear a costume that involved more than pouring some strange chemicals on his lab coat and ruffling his hair for the proper effect.

But after the Gray Destroyers had won the battle of the bands this year, he realized he really had to do something new for Halloween. People were looking up to him now, after all, and he didn't want to give the impression that he didn't care about the kindness and consideration they'd shown him and his team. The previous year he'd done Halloween the normal way and something had felt off about it. Winning a second time had really made him realize that he had to make a show of it. A mad scientist was nowhere near enough -- this year it had to be an actual, real costume. Still, he could stick to the theme he'd enjoyed so far, and did so; one headband with an oversized screw, and some stitching on his turtleneck and lab coat, and he made a perfectly acceptable Dr. Stein. He thought he could, in fact, sneak some of his cards into Dr. Stein's deck and nobody would even notice.

Still, his Halloween costume, as recognizable as it was, wasn't the main event. Neither was the Ginodrome -- oh, he'd decorated it nicely enough, and it was as appealing a mad scientist's lab as one could make a lab which already technically fell under that definition. Still, a few plastic skeletons and anatomical models hanging around outside really livened the place up, and he even placed a few pit traps that could act like graves. Really, he thought, he'd figured out a nice way to put the "trick" in trick-or-treat. The Colors Players would, he was sure, love it.

Even so, he felt like he'd managed to narrow down what was really important: the treats. This year he knew he'd have to step up his game; he'd heard Murasaki-dono was giving out all new release cards for treats this year. But he could do better than that! So he had built the Card Generation Machine. A more advanced variant on the prototype Card Randomizer, it could spit out large batches of cards all at once for each player. Forget Pot of Gold or Graphics Donations rewards, his Halloween treat spectacular was going to stick in everyone's minds as the true jackpot for card collection. It was only once a year, after all, it wouldn't ruin the trading game 'economy' to dump fifty -- no, one hundred! -- cards on each Player who came to his door.

The doorbell rang -- he was amazed a Player had actually made it up so quickly with the pit-traps and swinging blades and other playful Halloween delights waiting outside, but he couldn't be more pleased. It was time to test the machine and give this first costumed visitor their reward.

He flung open the door to the sound of the traditional sing-song "Trick or treat!" and, with a dramatic gesture, pulled the lever.

The machine started up first with a low, ominous hum, exactly as it was supposed to. It began to rumble, shaking hard enough the entire Ginodrome trembled with the effort of it. Good, he thought, good. Wheels spun, water trickled, electricity hummed -- everything going perfectly so far.

And then it made a strange, crackling noise, and electricity arced across its surface. Startled, he stumbled back, trying to put himself between it and his first trick-or-treater, just in case something went wrong--

It did.

The cards began to pour out, as he'd intended, but it only took one look to realize the enormity of his error.

It was Cain03.

Every card was Cain03.

Cain03 rained down among them like a tidal wave of experimental failure. The wave of cards knocked into him; the image of Ryou whipping his glasses off was practically burned into his retinas from the intensity of the blow, with how many of them hit him. It knocked him back into the Player and out into his own yard. It should stop soon, he thought, frantic.

But it didn't. The cards shoved him into one of his own grave shafts and as the comical zombie automaton wrapped its arms around him he thought that perhaps he would never see anything else, buried alive under Cain03.

Eventually, Tobi-han -- who was adventuring around to everyone's house for treats -- managed to get in and shut the machine down and save him. "Wow," Tobi said, cheerfully, "this'll be a Halloween nobody'll forget."

Sore, bruised, and never wanting to see Cain03 again, Gin grudgingly thought that he might as well consider it a success in that regards.
