Introduction

Pot of Gold is a monthly game. The objective of the Pot of Gold is to complete different 'tasks' that will be different every month. You'll get small rewards for completing them individually, but receive bonuses if you manage to complete all of them. How much of the rainbow can you complete?

This month's theme is... Heaven Offical's Blessing!

Rules

☆ Everything collected and turned in for these tasks must be done and logged in between January 1st and February 1st. You get one month and one month only, use it wisely.

☆ When commenting here after completing a task, make sure you label your subject with Completed:, as well as the number of the task you finished.

☆ Please give me a link to your logs with every comment you make. Also, make sure you link me all the stuff that I need to check.

☆ I will be able to pass out most of the prizes (excluding the grand prize) before the end of the month, so please tell me (with a note in your comment) if you want them earlier.

☆ Pot of Gold tasks can only be turned in when the round is open, so that means that after 12:01 PM GMT on February 1st, you can't turn in anything even if your tasks were completed and logged in the correct time!

☆ You can format your comment however you prefer. Veth has posted a lovely code here that you can use if you'd like.

☆ If you are using a coupon for your rewards - please link it somewhere I can see so that I can process it when giving out rewards!

Red Task

Hua Cheng... So handsome! He doesn't seem to be too interested in us though, huh? It appears he has his sight on someone else. Ah well, a player can dream, right? I guess their is nothing else for us to do in Ghost City... Well, their are a few stalls and shops here, it is quite busy huh? Maybe we should take our time and look around?

Task: Use at least 5 services this month. Art Shop, Art Studio, Recycled Art, Donations, Masteries, Levels, Activity Rewards, or others will be accepted.

Reward: 5 random crayons + 2 crayons.

Orange Task

Ah Xie Lian, our little god has been banished twice already. Were now on his Third Acsension, and it seems everyone has little faith in him. Well, at least he still has one supporter, right? I think everyone should have a little support, even if they are lesser gods or just a colors player. Maybe we should do an offering of our own.

Task: Give a gift to 8 different players.

Reward: 10 random cards.

Yellow Task

Feng Xin seems to be in a lousy mood today, no suprise as he is quite known to have a bit of a temper. Maybe if we take a look at his paper wor- oh.. I can't read any of this. It appears he was tasked to trade with some folks, but his handwriting is soo terrible. I guess it might be easier if we do the trading for him.

Task: Trade with 10 players this month.

Reward: 13 random cards.

Green Task

Ling Wen is very diligent in her work, no mistakes or anything goes unnoticed by her skillful eyes. Work seems to never be done for this Civil Officer it seems. Maybe we can help with her work load? Im sure she would be appriciative (or at least glad were out of her hair for a bit.)

Task: Participate in 15 games this month.

Reward: 15 cards + 3 crayons

Blue Task

Ah look! It's our lovely Wind Master, Shi Qingxuan! You know, Shi Qingxuan is actually a male god, though it appears everyone seems to worship him as a female god. Thats okay! He doesnt seem to mind taking the form of a woman afterall. Lets share in support with some card offerings!

Task: Bring in cards spelling "WIND MASTER". (Must be earned in the month of January. You will lose these cards)

Reward: 15 random cards + 2 crayons

Purple Task

Pei Ming is quite the womanizer, and is often seen flirting and wooing women from all walks of life (though, maybe not so much strong and willful women...). Maybe we can introduce him to some lovely ladies here at Colors?

Brown Task

Mu Qing is quite loved by many, having over seven thousand temples dedicated to his palace. I guess that is the terriroty that comes with being a Martial God after all. Well, we might not be gods here, but we can still show how impressive we are! lets show Mu Qing our god-like skills of mastery (mastering cards that is)

Task: Master 2 decks this month. (Primary tier players only need to master 1 deck.)

Reward: 10 random new release cards

Gray Task

Shi Qingxuan seems to be hanging around someone alot recently. Oh, is that Ming Yi? Huh.. Must be! It appears Ming Yi is also taking the appearence as a woman as well while hanging around Shi Qingxuan. I wont lie... he looks very beautiful, such a glam up! (or a Level up...see where im going with this...)

Task: Level up once OR collect 100 cards this month.

Reward: 8 random cards

☆ You can earn up to a total of 72 random cards, 8 random crayons and 10 new release cards and for completing the tasks for this month.

☆ Completing all the tasks will earn you an additional 20 random cards, 3 random crayons and one of the GRAND PRIZES below! Phew thats a lot of cards!

		Purple Task: In Progress Talk about your favorite female characters (colors applicable). ▶ haine otomiya: haine was one of my original faves from my teen years due to her tenacity and perseverance, even after being neglected and abused which resonated with me for Personal ReasonsTM. she was had a strong sense of values, wasn't afraid to fight for what she believed in and had a really strong account of what her strengths and weaknesses were. ▶ chocolat meilleure: another youth fave, i remember the art style and premise of sugar sugar rune was what made me buy the first two volumes, but chocolat kept me invested. she has a similar personality to haine in that she's consistently optimistic, though more of a spit-fire. i had a thing for optimistic female characters faced with adversity and absentee parenting. ▶ jiang yanli: a recent fave, i was not going into cql / mdzs thinking i would care about jiang yanli more than anyone else but here i am. as much as she can be narratively shafted, i love that she cares so much about her family and the concept of love itself. she's so cute and deserves the world.

Game, Anime, Manga, etc. i think beatrice umineko is The Female Character of All Time. i love her so much, but it's hard to talk too much about her without umineko spoilers. so i'll talk about higashikata kaato instead! i was finally able to donate her deck because the final two color volumes of jojolion came out... she is everything tbh. i love her design and her stand is really neat, and she's also a really interesting character. at her core a mother/grandmother who will literally do anything to protect her family.

When she was first introduced it was a nice change from the normal female characters portrayed in Dragon Ball before and to see a very physically strong female antogonist, other then Chichi of course but she protagonist, and see kind of a redemption in her character was nice too. She would always be my number 1 favorite. I also adore Joan and Bayonetta of course, and there is Setsuna (Sailor Pluto) from Sailor Moon that I've always adored and loved next to 18.

Game, Anime, Manga, etc. Where do I begin...I think probably my favorite female characters ever in Colors-related media are Rin Tohsaka, Satsuki Kiryuin, and Tsubasa Hanekawa. Rin and Hanekawa I relate to in some fundamental ways and thus their character development is something that warms my heart. And Satsuki captivated me the moment she first appeared; I remembered everyone who also watched Kill la Kill for the first time while it was airing loved Ryuko and Mako (not that I don't love them too) but I loved that bad bitch standing on the building with the sun behind her lol. :))) I love lots of girls. Aqua from KH is one of my super favs, cause something about her determination and the trials she goes through for years for her friends is soo good. YGO has a lot of girls I like too, such as BMG and Asuka. Maybe its a blond thing though, hahaha. Oh! Ganyu from Genshin is my little waifu, she so soft and fluffy! Digimon has so many cute girls too, but they are pretty much the Gatomon (and Black Gatomon) lines for me hehe. Oh, cant forget Samus either! Actual Waifu material there! Strong and gets shit done.

I just really love Lum, shes the only female anime character I actively buy merch for. It started when I found a picture of her to use as a steam pfp yearssss ago, which ended up in me looking more into the character. I really like the idk what to call it, hair strands near her ears, its one of my favorite hair styles in anime that I don't see often, and it ended up influencing the way I draw my own OCs' hair. I have almost all of the omnibuses and have been enjoying the 2022 rebut (which I felt like was made specifically for me, with its announcement coming out around the time that I was wishing for more recent content).

OH BOY well I have a lot of favorite female characters... but I'll stick with Kisaragi Chihaya from The Idolm@ster. I love Chihaya because she's a really well-written depiction of someone struggling to escape the ghosts of their past in a very realistic way, and her growth is expressed through songs. Aoi Tori is the "past" song, and depicts someone stuck in the mire of where they used to be, pulling themselves away from others because parting is easier if you think you want it; Yakusoku is the "present", where forming connections and bonds has made coping easier, but in the end, that's still not truly confronting the past; and Saihyou is the "future", where she finally says farewell to her past of her own volition and walks forward into the light. I think a lot about her ending from the PS3 game One For All's DLC chapter, where she writes her own lyrics to Saihyou, and her rival Leon tells her the message she got from Saihyou: "Living is truly a wonderful thing."

		Purple Task: Completed! Talk about your favorite female characters SO, as you can probably guess from the witches deck mastery, I have a weakness for tragic, morally grey witchy ladies. Medea from Fate/Stay Night, Beatrice from Umineko (although Eva is my recent fav from that series, I love that awful woman), Magilou from Tales of Berseria... so many good witches, I can't resist them. I RPed Medea actively in a game recently, and hoping to bring her back to a game soon. I would ramble about Eva or any of the Umineko's, but that risks many spoilers, so instead I'll talk about Medea. Fate/ just went “Oh so you wanted an antagonistic, dangerous, bitter dark magic lady with pointy ears and a purple colour theme- who is deep down lost and hurt and will do everything in her power to claw back some of the happiness she’s been denied all her life? Here you go.” Like thanks, guess I’m getting attached to Caster now. Welp.

I love female characters! Rika from Mystic Messenger really speaks to me with her religious trauma and determination to make the world a better place. Kizuna Chieda is a fresh new 2022 blarba and one of the few extremely conventionally feminine characters who really speaks to me on a deep level with the pressure she faces and attention to detail. Makima is the woman of all time. Haruhi in my icon is such a classic! So full of life! And all of the woman in Chihayafuru, what a wonderful josei.

Game, Anime, Manga, etc. One of my favorite female characters from something I got into recently is probably Geeko Nokomura from Chimamire Sukeban Chainsaw! The manga is extremely over the top in its violence and NSFW content (LOL), but she was so charming the whole time. And by charming, I mean sort of snide, easy to anger, and deadly with a chainsaw in her hands, but she's still also a goofy girl who makes mistakes and cares deeply about her friends and justice. She's super badass and very cute too, despite being from such a weird source material I really like her! I plan on donating her to Colors eventually hehe!! There's a movie adaptation of the manga that I might watch for funsies at some point, and a short sequel/reboot that I need to read, too. The manga is 90% female characters, and I liked almost all of them - Senzaki, Mizushima, and Drillie were my favorites of the side/supporting cast, and I liked Bakutani a decent amount too, plus Wolfine in the last arc!

Hibari Tojo!! My beloved! When it comes to otome game MCs, I feel so spoiled from Variable Barricade. Hibari has such a cute stubborn but shy personality, and Fujita Saki absolutely nails the voice acting. Also the micro expressions in Hibari's sprites are SO GOOD. She has the best "baffled and internally screaming" face.
