Thanks to my fabulous friend Casey for this

Princess Peach sure does have a lot of friends! And why wouldn't she? She's sweet, charming and absolutely lovable to all. The problem is, she has so many birthdays to attend, it's always very hard to find out what each person wants. She has a small idea but is going to need your help to pick the perfect gift! Won't you help Peach pick the perfect present?

Inside is our super special secret amazing super cool actually on time for once i want no complaints anymore round! YAY!

This week, she has a party to get to...

They're celebrating new years, it's the cast of Mario Party 3! Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Wario, Donkey Kong, Daisy, and Waluigi! And Peach wants to get everyone a surprise present, even herself! So she's given you some gold and told you to surprise everyone!

Go here, make sure you're looking at all the items, and pick one for each person and tell me why in a brief one/two sentence answer why they would like that present! For each one, you'll get 1 card! If you do all 8, you'll get 10 cards in total! Wow! Consider it my new years present to you! It does not have to be their favorite listed item, it can be any item at all so long as it's on the list!

Mario - Golden Mushroom because mario is the king of this franchise and naturally his mushroom should be golden I mean come on
Luigi - Skeleton Key because maybe it'll let the poor guy escape his haunted mansion easier
Peach - Plunder Chest BECAUSE SHE HAS A HIDDEN DARK SIDE APPARENTLY? u go gurl u channel ur inner thief
Yoshi - Warp Block because I guess a sapient green dinosaur would want something that looks that trippy
Wario - Dueling Glove BECAUSE WARIO LIKES TO FIGHT GODDAMMIT
Donkey Kong - Reverse Mushroom because I suppose it's easier to stomp people with those monkey fists when they're tinier
Daisy - Cellular Shopper because of course this little lady wants to stop in the middle of the game and buy shit, who doesn't
Waluigi - Poison Mushroom because it has the word poison in it and it sets the player back ah yes I think we all know Waluigi is an asshole

that said oh my god the nostalgia is painful, I remember my old 64 console ;_; I loved getting the cellular shopper....

The cellular shopped was the best option idec.

Mario's gift would be the Golden Mushroom. It gives him the ability to go further on the game board (and is his basic power up as well!)

Luigi's gift would be the Skeleton Key. It allows him to open any door, which is useful considering he owns a number of mansions…

Peach's gift would be the Plunder Chest. It allows her to take an item from any other player, which is useful if say a certain other Princess has a set of jewels you'd like.

Yoshi's gift would be the Warp Block. Allows him to change places with anyone, which could be useful if you're jumping around an Island or two.

Wario's gift would be the Dueling Glove. Allows you to duel for a set # of coins, which happens to fit this thieving player's M.O. quite nicely.

Donkey Kong's gift would be the Reverse Mushroom. Allows a player to be set in reverse, which could send that thieving K. R. Rool back from stealing DK's bananas.

Daisy's gift would be the Cellular Shopper. Allows a player to call either Toad or Baby Bowser's shop. Useful for calling up and ordering the finest gifts to be delivered to one's castle.

Waluigi's gift is the Poison Mushroom. Allows the player to only roll 1-3 on the dice on the next turn. Useful for setting those other plumbers back and out of the way of the 'other brothers'.

Ooo, using a character's favorite item for a non-Mario Party option! 5 bonus points!

Mario: Golden Mushroom! It's stated as his favorite item, likely because it can get him real far on the board, and there's a chance at getting coins. Two pluses for the price of one!

Luigi: Skeleton Key! Stated as Luigi's favorite, it's a chance at being special! ... Luigi's had it really hard living in the shadow of his brother, okay.

Peach: Plunder Chest! ... Man I have no idea why this is Peach's favorite item, but it is. I'm guessing because she plays all or nothing, and doesn't mind a little stealing to get to the top. No wonder Bowser likes her so much.

Yoshi: Warp Block! It's stated as his favorite item, I'm guessing Yoshi likes the excitement of getting to go to random places.

Wario: Dueling Glove! It's stated as his favorite item, probably because it's a chance to steal some coins from a person, all at the cost of a 'fair' game. ... fair...

Donkey Kong: Reverse Mushroom! It's stated as his favorite item, probably because it's the item equivalent of a really mean prank. Sending people backwards? That's mean.

Daisy: Cellular Shopper! It says it's her favorite item, probably because she really likes to shop?

Waluigi: Poison Mushroom! It's his favorite item, probably because it severely handicaps another player! Haha, sucker.

Have you seen some of the Mario Party 3 duel games? That is NOT fair.

1. Mario - Golden Mushroom (it's his favourite item since he is a shroom addict and this one is golden, dang)

2. Luigi - Skeleton Key (it's his favourite item since Luigi is a practical man. while his bro is off chasing after shrooms and girls, he's busy trying to do something about the obstacles in his way)

3. Peach - Plunder Chest (it's her favourite item since she is secretly a kleptomaniac. every time she's kidnapped, she steals the shiniest things from her temporary castle - what a girl wants, what a girl needs)

4. Yoshi - Warp Block (it's his favourite item since he probably enjoys the rush of instant teleportation, instead of being used as a form of transport himself)

5. Wario - Dueling Glove (it's his favourite item since he probably watches too many wrestling movies and thinks that he has an advantage against Mario in a duel because of his proportions)

6. Donkey Kong - Reverse Mushroom (it's his favourite item because it has the same hairstyle as him - check out that reverse arrow and Kong's hairdo)

7. Daisy - Cellular Shopper (it's her favourite item since she probably enjoys shopping a lot. basically a more clean version of what Peach does to build her wardrobe)

8. Waluigi - Poison Mushroom (it's his favourite item since it looks like him. it's purple and has horizontal eyes, unlike the rest of the cast)

I'd love a cellular shopper. Then again, I'd love to live in Mario land. COINS EVERYWHERE.

The Plunder Chest for Wario. The man's own games are all about him plundering treasures in a way that'd make pirate crews proud so I can't honestly think of anything better than this for him.
The Boo Repellent for Luigi. Poor dude's life would've probably been made loads easier in Luigi's Mansion by owning some of this.
The Warp Block for Donkey Kong. He's the only one who doesn't wear any clothing on the parts of his body that touch the ground so he'd probably profit from this when going through ice fields or mud fields or whatnot.
The Poison Mushroom for Waluigi. Because, well, he is somewhat of a jerk and would probably enjoy using this to pick on people.
The Reverse Mushroom for Peach. Use it on a kidnap-happy Bowser and wave at him as he's forced to march back towards his kingdom. Day improved.
The Golden Mushroom for Daisy. She's an athletic gal, three rolls of the dice let her put that to good use and run laps around the slower folks.
The Bowser Suit for Yoshi. ...Just imagine Mario riding around on him while he's dressed like that. It'd look wicked cool, no?
And the Mushroom for Mario. It's just... too much of an iconic item for him, to be honest, it's just plain hard to imagine Mario without mushrooms.

Mario will get the Golden Mushroom, his favorite item, which is great because it gives the owner a huge boost of speed.
Luigi will get be happy with the Skeleton Key, since it'll allow him to get past locked doors.
Peach will love a Plunder Chest, it's her favorite item because it allows her to get another mystery item. It's a surprise every time.
Yoshi will be happy with the Warp Block because it's his favorite item, and because it allows him to be put on the same level as a competitor.
Wario will be pleased with the Dueling Glove because it allows him to take things from others in the form of a duel.
Donkey Kong will get the Donkey Kong, his favorite item, and love it because it allows him to aid himself or troll others.
Daisy's going to be pleased with the Cellular Shopper, since it'll allow her to shop anywhere, any time.
Waluigi will be happy with the Poison Mushroom, which allows him to hinder the progress of others in a dirty, no-good way.

Except in Mario Party 3 where the Plunder Chest becomes so over powered.

Mario: A mushroom, because the manual said it was his favorite item. And GOTTA GO FAST all day every day, right? ...Wrong video game hero, but you get what I mean.

Luigi: A skeleton key, because the manual said it was his favorite item. Also because he can open doors like the ghostbuster badass he is, and there's actually some good spaces/stuff like Boo behind the gates sometimes.

Peach: A plunder chest, because the manual said it... okay yeah, you get the point. But hey, why get a present when you can mooch off someone else's? MARIO PARTY, AW YEAH.

Yoshi: A warp block, ditto above. I guess Yoshi likes to mix it up... or play it risky, whichever. Heh. It's good if you're at an impasse on the board or want to avoid something, though. Especially on Waluigi's Island, hrrrrgh.

Wario: A dueling glove, because yeah, I can see Wario being the type who loves to smack people down one by one individually. B) And also you get mad rich by doing that and winning all their coins, so... yeah, can't see how that could go wrong.

DK: A reverse mushroom, because -- god damn, I remember those things could be hella useful because it meant you could potentially go to a junction and go whichever way you wanted after that, especially on, like, Deep Bloober Sea which had that stupid torpedo shark. :T So yeah.

Daisy: A cellular shopper -- girls like to shop, amirite? Although it was handy if you needed a specific thing, like a key to get to a hard-to-reach star, and weren't actually near any shops (or couldn't get to one in time).

Waluigi: A poison mushroom, because Wally is a troll and would totally just spam these things so people could only roll low numbers. And then would probably throw their controllers at the wall out of frustration after a while. On the other hand, he could use it on himself to maximize chances of landing on a certain space, too! Double the fun.

Ugh do not even talk to me about Deep Bloober Sea I want nothing to do with that map.

Mario: A mushroom because I often see him chase after mushrooms in demos so he must really love mushrooms.
Luigi: An item bag, because Luigi's really skinny and he has nowhere to put all the loot he inevitably gets from hopping ledges in a 2-D world.
Peach: The magic lamp, because it's shiny and Peach is a princess and princesses... like shiny things!
Yoshi: A barter box, because I think Yoshi probably likes eggs but there are no eggs, therefore the best gift I can give him is a box which he can then use to barter for an egg.

Peach gets the Plunder Chest, so she can steal items from people... Which doesn't sound princess alike at all, but I guess it works well for self-defense out there!

Yoshi gets the Warp Block, so he can surprise randomly chosen opponents by switching places with them.

Wario, who ~~apparently~~ likes dueling, a little gambling and challenges gets the Dueling Glove, so he can play dueling minigames.

Donkey Kong gets the Reverse Mushroom, so he can choose who will have to go backward steps - or maybe he likes to use it on himself.

Daisy gets the Cellurar Shopper for all of her item shopping needs. I guess she loves shopping, nothing wrong with that.

Waluigi gets the Poison Mushroom, because then he can use it on others, so they'll only be able to roll numbers from one to three. Pretty convenient for himself, when he can roll whatever numbers he wants (but what if he won't be lucky and only gets numbers from 1 to 3 too...)

Not to mention I heard these all seem to be their favorite items, so I'm guessing they'd like those for whatever reason!
