We received many great deck samples and it was hard to narrow it down to just a few new deckmakers. If you weren't chosen, there's still a possibility I'll ask you if you are still interested next month, since I'm going to see if the current number of deckmakers is enough or we need one or two more.

OH ALSO. This past year was... strange. It was a little of awesome and a little of less-than-awesome. I always have a hard time summing up how years go, though, because there's too much to account for to lump together like that. I think for next year, I just want it to be stable and not all over the place like this year was. 2013 was a decent year for me. I graduated college, I got my foot in the door for my dream job, and things are looking up despite some left field bad news. In 2014 I really want to go back to school while working and get my masters degree so I can continue teaching children. Or in the case that doesn't work out for 2014, I hope I have the opportunity to teach abroad in the meantime. That's my big wish right now, to further my career goals.

This year has been interesting! I went to Turkey for a work term, came back, flew through a school term, and now my latest work term is coming to an end! There's been ups and downs, and it's been a crazy emotional roller coaster to be entirely honest, but I've made some cherished memories this year! All in all, I don't regret it. In terms of my next year-- I want to make sure I won't regret anything, too. I'll be working harder than ever!!

As for 2013... it could have been better, but it could have been worse. I hit a few stumbling blocks I never have before, but I'm working toward getting over them. Family health was... to put it mildly, not the greatest, but everyone's okay now, so hopefully we'll keep it that way. And going into the new year, I'm just going to focus on doing my best and graduating in May, with a job ready for me if I'm lucky.
