Day 10, we're halfway there livin' on a-- /rolls out. Today's topic is clothes!

Some characters wear the same outfit in every episode but others change frequently. Who draws the best clothes? Which character do you think has the best style? Anyone you'd gladly undress just to get their clothes for yourself? Or maybe you've cosplayed as them already, was it hard to recreate their outfits? For answering this question, you'll get two random cards of a color of your choosing and celebration10. Please include the color you'd like your prizes to be in your comment.

The two characters that come to mind when it comes to clothes are Makise Kurisu from Steins;Gate and Heiwajima Shizuo from drrr! Makise with the lab coat, the red tie, the black pants, the button down shirt... so freaking hot. And I will admit I like the her just because of how she dresses and not so much of her character personality. And Heiwajima Shizuo? He's wearing a vest, bow tie, dress shirt, and those shades. All the time. How freaking cool is that? I wish I could look that cool all the time. Oh, and he's awesome too.

I really love Arina Tanemura's clothing designs. Like in any of her manga and art. She always gives her female characters these gorgeous dresses and it makes me so jealous. /cries/ The other is Koge-Donbo for the same reason. And actually, Clamp too. I like pretty, frilly clothes and all that so... Huhu. ;;

I don't have a particular favorite artist or anything, but I do have a particular favorite piece of clothing, kind of. ...I love cloaks. Super swishy cloaks that billow about in the wind all dramatically. They're just so wonderful and always drawn so dramatically and they really add cool effect.

(Long, swishy coats can have the same effect. That's part of the appeal of certain Yu-Gi-Oh characters for me, actually.)

When it comes to cosplays though, I've considered trying to make one of the Lonesome Demon from DenYuuDen. His hat is wonderful and I kind of want one even if it'd be way too flashy to ever wear in public.

I have a thing for the outfits CLAMP does in Cardcaptor Sakura, Tsubasa Chronicles and XXXholic. All of them are awesome. My friends and I did the arrancar outfits from BLEACH when it first came out on the manga. It was..somewhat hard to get everything right. And we helped make Sephiroth and Vicent and Aerith too. Final Fantasy costumes are just beautiful, in my opinion. I would really love to do one of the Clamp costumes. Any really.

i like simple sensible clothes like hoodies and tennis shoes for characters that don't have uniforms, though it really depends on the characters!

but clothes aren't my strong point so i'll just. stop there.

I love the outfits in Umineko. They're so intricate and elegant. (And in some cases so outrageous!) I'm still learning how to sew, so I haven't done any cosplay yet, but someday, the Beatrice gown, it will be mine...

Air Gear has some of the best style I've seen. Even the more fanservicey outfits, I can't help but be like damn. I'd probably wear it, not even going to lie.

Also magical girl outfits = A+++.

Claaaaaaaaaaammmp <3 I love how beautiful and detailed all the clothes are in their series; not only clothing but the art in general~ Not going to lie; when I first watched Cardcaptors when I was a little kid (Sunday morning English dub! \o/) I saw all her new outfits every episode and went "I want to be a magical girl D:" haha. I haven't actually worn a dress since elementary school, and wouldn't be caught in one now, but that doesn't mean I love how cute some of them are and would love to dress others in them :P

I LOVE SUIKODEN'S CHARACTER DESIGNS SO MUCH. ugh the designers just have such an incredible sense of color and design and everything is so distinct and gorgeous, even the plain npcs have interesting/well put together outfits

honestly I wouldn't say it's something I care about so much? it's not a priority or something I go out of my way to analyze but it is something I notice and it can effect my enjoyment of things if it's exceptionally good (like Suikoden) or exceptionally bad (like Fire Emblem Awakening 90% OF PROMOTIONS ARE UGLY AS SHIT WHAT THE HELL tho I also like FEA anyway so.)

I'm not much for elaborate clothes, I just wear t-shirts and shorts all the time, so most clothes from are just not my style at all. That said, if there's one elaborate and fancy outfit I would love to try, it's Beatrice's dress from Umineko. SO PRETTY.

I super duper love all of the Pretty Cure designs! They are just really elegant without looking too weird, and they all have matching themes, which I would die to be a part of. I'm making Cure Sunshine for a convention because it's just too cute.

I'd also really love to have the clothes of anyone from Kuragehime! They're fabulous.

I have to say-- as improbable as most of the outfits in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle are, I really really really adore them. CLAMP is just so creative with how they costume their characters on their covers! Even if most of the time it doesn't really make sense, haha. I have one of the special hardback books and I love looking at all of the chapter covers because every world has its own style, and it just doesn't get old to me, as ridiculous as they are.

I... rarely pay attention to clothes unless I have a cosplay in mind for it. I think clothes may look nice but I just really don't care since I'm the kind of person who would just throw on the first thing I find in my closet. Though there are certain things I would like to own, like the jackets from Attack on Titan. . .

I love the outfits from DRAMAtical Murder - even though some people say it looks silly, I personally like it a lot because of how colorful it is.

I particularly like Tieria's casual clothes sobs because they're so casually good without being flashy or too complicated, and in my opinion it's one of those casual clothes that are easily recognizable even though they are so plain. I could walk out in this outfit without looking like I'm cosplaying, but Gundam 00 fans would easily recognize.

I personally really like Inazuma's sports uniform. OTL I don't know why ahahaha but they are very nice and I wish I owned a few sets-- or like, my school's gym uniform is just plain boring.

Also, since I'm currently watching OP, I've noticed that some characters (most of the cast) change clothes every arc or so, and I like that idea because it's fresh haha.

I have been told that I have an obsession with ties. Bow ties, skinny ties, regular ties, whatever ties - just give them all to me. Suits? Uniforms? Yes, gimme. *makes grabby hands*

Anyway. I'm currently obsessed with the uniforms from Shingeki no Kyojin. I will probably make it my summer project to recreate one. The 3D Maneuver Gear looks really difficult and time-consuming to make though, and all those belts -- I don't even... ; w;

I really like series where the characters actually change clothes, haha. I like school uniforms and baseball uniforms (heavy breathing) a lot too, but individual clothes tell a lot about the character. Kimi ni Todoke, Lovely Complex, Card Captor Sakura, Ao no Exorcist and Tsuritama have some of the cutest free time clothes I've seen! Especially Shiemi's kimono collection. I've cosplayed as her and it was a hassle to find the perfect fake kimono...

I really like the way Umino Chika and Ai Yazawa draw clothes. They have a very good sense of style and I'd definitely wear most of the clothes they've designed. Sometimes I dream about being able to sew properly just so that I could recreate some of Ayu's outfits.

Sometimes I wonder how it is they can wear the same outfit everyday. Uniforms are justified but...I don't think I'd want to own 7 sets of the same coordinate XD;
Good thing is that cosplayers have an easier time and people won't have difficulty associating the outfit...but it feels odd.

Hm..style. I really like clothes that are Gothic (lolita?), Baroque, Victorian (Pandora Hearts springs to my mind) X3 Most Magical Girl Outfits (Madoka, Sakura up there too) are really cute too. As well as Idols' costumes are really stylish and fabulous (Idolmaster, Utapuri, Tales of Hearts' DLC).

If we're talking casual outfits I really love all the clothes the Heroine from AMNESIA owns~ My favorite is the main one she has in Crowd asdfghjkl;

I'm a sucker for formal wear, whether it's Shizuo's bartender vest or like... Lau's loose, high collar clothing. I do love embroidery and really really fine detail, too, like the elaborate period clothing I adore; just something long and flowing, I guess. Points have to go to Clamp for their work, because a lot of the Suzaku and Lelouch pictures are just stunning, especially with the detail work.

I'm. Really quite bad about this topic, haha, I just can't think of any series with a particular style of clothing that stands out to me at all. Most of the ones I seem to appreciate best are those where... the clothing matches the setting? Honestly I'm thinking a lot of modern-day sorts of series like Aku no Hana and BECK: Monogolian Chop Squad. It's just a nice way to get a bit more enmeshed in the story.

They're not the same at all but I love all the details they put into it ! I'm always impressed when I see some Final Fantasy cosplayer who have done everything single thing in their costume.

I don't think I've watched enough shows with really fancy costumes to answer this. Although I really like the school uniforms in Persona 4 because I'm a sucker for stitched accents.

I always like seeing what characters wear in slice of life shows though. I'm not very stylish myself, even with casual wear but I still want to wear things that I think look nice. So I enjoy watching what characters wear day to day and if there's an outfit that I like I think about why and see if there's anything I could get that would be similar.

Honestly it's like the only thing that motivates me to go clothes shopping these days, haha! I'll take any red cards you throw at me.
