Anniversary Day 7

Here we are at Day 7, so soon! I hope you'll go easy on my rudimentary banner text, my current life quest is to download lots of nice fonts and learn how to actually use photoshop properly. But let's get to today's topic!

Characters you relate to!

I don't necessarily mean in lifestyle, of course. We can't all spend our lives questing for Dragonballs, right? But is there some character out there who you really sympathise with, or have a lot of empathy for? Is there something about their situations, reactions or interactions that you can really see yourself in? Or hey, do you maybe just share their sense of humour, or style of dress? Tell us about it, you guys!

As ever, if there really isn't a character you relate to in this way, just come and tell us about that. HOW CAN YOU RELATE TO ANIME GUYS THAT'S WEIRD......

For participating you will received! celebration07 and a choice07 card! Lucky sevens! And as ever, you have until June 30th to answer this post not the fictional June 31st I listed last time, ulp. Get chatting, you all!

THIS POST IS NOW CLOSED.

Must admit to liking series a whole lot more the moment I spot someone I can relate to. Hyouka was such a great show for me because I could very much relate to both Oreki's low profile, low energy levels and limited emotional expression (but remaining respectful to the people who do have energy, unlike many similar characters) and Chitanda's boundless curiosity about things many other people would probably consider completely trivial. I loved the small mysteries in the beginning of the series because I found them as interesting as Chitanda.

While I don't (to my knowledge) scare people off with my looks like Sawako Kuronuma, I do tend to speak and behave a bit oddly without particularly meaning to and probably seem a bit creepy as well, while I'd love nothing more than to be useful to people and help them out. We probably have about as much self-esteem, too.

Himeko Inaba also struck a pretty familiar chord with me, I try to be logical and analytical and generally the voice of reason but also often feel like I'm missing something essential and am constantly afraid of people leaving me if they got to know my less admirable qualities.

Finally, Ayumu Narumi. While I'm only as openly insulting as him with certain specific people, his emotionless demeanor that hides behind a good deal of self-loathing and feelings of uselessness were a dead ringer. And while my big brother isn't as perfect at everything as Ayumu's, he still gets shit done a great deal better than me and I'll probably always feel inferior.

While [personal profile] euploeamulciber says I'm a lot like Waver Velvet...

...why do you write such great questions, these walls of text just keep on coming... would've also had a bunch that were basically me in the past and possibly me in the future and... okay ending now while I still can. futuring07, I'm taking you home with me.
