Go to Crunchyroll or Random Anime. You can also use any other site that has a "random result" button. If you'd rather read manga instead, any site that allows you to randomly choose a series will do.

Pick a series at random. You may repeat this step if you get something you already know or something that obviously isn't your thing. If it's an anime, watch the first epsode (or at least 5-10 minutes of it). If it's a manga, read the first chapter. How was it? it was pretty cute! i could swear i've read something with this premise before but i haven't read THIS before. i like that their friend shows up more in the second chapter still instead of totally vanishing...i'll probably finish it later this week since it's like, finished and short. i do like my high school cliched romcom bls, lol. the premise, btw, is that 2 guys and a girl are childhood besties, she gets a boyfriend, and one of the besties had a crush on her and is heartbroken. but the OTHER bestie is in love with heartbroken bestie and confesses. so, you know, a romcom.

What you watched/read: Dragon in the Kitchen
How was it? Oh I'm absolutely going to finish this, it looks like it's pretty short and it's absolutely adorable. There's a little dragon!!! In the kitchen!!! I've only read the first two chapters but it's definitely my speed. The randomizer was like "I heard you like little guys" and I'm delighted. Also, the setting is interesting! Europe in the 1980s, but starring a Japanese exchange student.

How was it? Honestly, I'm probably not going to be watching anymore of this :( I'm REALLY picky about what anime I watch and this isn't really my thing. I'm more of a fantasy or horror type fan, and slice of life/sci-fi isn't usually my thing.

What you watched/read: Ixion Saga DT
How was it? It's an isekai that I like about as much as all the other isekais out there. I'm not going to continue to watch it--I could barely get through the first episode on twice the speed. The main character is at least a little refreshing for the genre--instead of feeling like a jaded stand in for the watcher, he's kinda annoying, lol. And the mix of guns and swords is fun. But ultimately it seems pretty stereotypical and not the kind of genre I'm into.

How was it?: Read the first chapter. I do want to say, not as a knock against the manga itself, but the English fan translation is typeset *really* weirdly and was kind of hard to read, so thanks for that.

Naoto and Gou are high school... sophomores I think? And childhood friends, and Naoto has been pining for him for ages. Gou finally tells Naoto he might be in love with someone... who turns out to be a teacher. Naoto is broken-hearted, but also gets angry with Gou for being in love with a man instead of a pretty girl??? The whole age difference doesn't get commented on in the first chapter at all? I know yaoi standards were different back in 2010 but still.

It feels pretty by-the-book yaoi. Won't be continuing.

How was it? It was not for me. It seems like a pretty rote demons vs humans medieval fantasy thing, which is something I can roll with. Human hero goes to kill the Demon King and it turns the Demon King is actually a hot lady, wow! Just a lot of boobie jiggles and she's in instant love with Bland Anime Protagonist Man™! The Demon King does have a nice design, but they kinda ruin it at the end when she just takes them off. God forbid a woman has horns!

How was it? I watched the animated manga of the first chapter. It was cute, the art style is great, and the voice work was also good. Premise wise it's pretty par-for-the-course, I don't think I'll look any further into this one.

How was it? It's your usual otome-isekai fare but the main character seems really level headed and they started talking about taxes and stuff when I stopped lol. I like isekai and I liked the main character so I'll probably continue it.
