Hello everyone, and welcome back to Seiyuu Guess! Our host for this game is Shizuka, a rookie seiyuu who's still learning the tricks of the trade! She's been provided with a description, image, and clip of a certain character, and it's up to you to help her figure out who voices them.
It's that time again - the Seiyuu Guess last year retrospective! Each January we take a look back at shows from the previous year. Let's check out some great series and seiyuu from 2025!
This week we have an...octopus?? Actually, he's an alien from Planet Happy, here on a mission to spread happiness throughout the universe. And boy does he have his work cut out for him when he makes first contact with a girl named Shizuka Kuze. She's only ten years old and has already experienced more than her fair share of trauma. Her father walked out on the family years ago, her mother couldn't care less about her, and a girl in her class named Marina is bullying her to within an inch of her life. The only thing keeping her going is her dog Chappy...and perhaps now, this cute little guy, armed with Happy Gadgets and unfailing optimism. Let's hear the clip...
"Hey, which one is Planet Happy?"
"Pi. You can't see it from here-pi. It's very far away-pi. Planet Happy has a lot of Happy Fruits, and they're very yummy-pi! You should come visit-pi, Shizuka-chan."
"I can't."
"That's not true-pi. My Happy Spaceship will take you there in no time-pi."
"I don't believe in magic."
"It's not magic. It's a Happy Gadg--"
"I can't go anywhere. Not to Planet Happy. Or to where my dad is."
(My sweet child. Spread happiness throughout the universe with these Happy Gadgets. But be careful. You must never violate the rules.)
Mama, I'm far from violating anything. She hasn't even used any of the gadgets yet-pi. But... I want Shizuka-chan to smile more-pi. "Shizuka-chan. One day, I will properly invite you to Planet Happy-pi. We have lots of Happy Gadgets there-pi. So with them--"
"I said I don't believe in magic--"
"With them, I'll bring out the biggest smile you've ever had-pi!"
Tell Shizuka the character's name, their seiyuu, and what series they're from for fifteen random cards!
