Colors TCG 15th Anniversary - Day 19

Before we reach the end of our anniversary celebrations, let's take a moment to talk about one of my favorite unofficial aspects of Colors: mass decks!

Do you collect any mass decks? Do you collect decks for entries in a series you haven't seen, or just ones you have? Do you have any mass decks that aren't for fandoms? (LGBT characters, characters with your name, cats and dogs, etc.) If you don't collect mass decks, were there any you've seen from other people that you really liked?

For posting an image, you'll receive five choice character cards from different decks, plus cher15hed19. Please list which cards you're taking.

I love mass decks! I have 34 mass decks right now and will probably add more. My personal favorite is the 'characters my OC has smooched' mass deck, even if it's led to some kind of embarrassing first masteries for fandoms I'm not actually in... Oh, and a deep fondness for my RPGmaker games mass deck, too.

I like mass decks! Honestly every deck I collect is part of a mass deck -- if I like a series, I want all the cards from the decks we have, haha, but I only make mass decks for my "main fandoms".

I used to have only mass decks for fandoms and I generally prefer those but I recently added one for a murdergame I'm in. It's nice because I get a "oh that's my pal :)" serotonin too.

i dont collect any mass decks, but in the future i’d like to. i try to only collect decks from series i’ve seen, but sometimes a character is just so cute i have to keep them for myself (that pink chiikawa…)

I HAVE SO MANY MASS DECKS. Mostly for series I like but sometimes I'll pick a theme like my favorite characters from when I was growing up to characters with certain features. I think it's just my autism making me crave the act of making lists but it's always so much fun.

I've got four mass decks I'm collecting at the same time I think. I enjoy it! I like to go in a certain order and collect the characters that way. I have a lot of series I want to collect so I'm sure my mass decks will never end.

I like looking at other mass deck pages for ideas on how to format my own someday. The ways that other people style them are really cool! I still have yet to find a good way to format it without much fuss. In the meantime, I will have to stick with my future pile.

i am not fully clear on what mass decks are - i assume from the context it's collecting All The Decks from a series/category though? in which case, i am definitely collecting every enstars and bungo stray dogs person at some point, don't worry about it. as to collecting decks for series i haven't seen...mostly i collect people i know/love, but if it is a cute animal (cat) i want it and pick it up (because cats) so hopefully someday i will have Every Cat Deck. it's a reasonable goal, is it not...anyway i haven't looked too closely into mass decks because again i am still very much finding my footing with some of the lingo/things!

I don't have mass decks, there's only a handful of series where I'd want to collect every character from it at the same priority. If I did have mass decks I would only stick to series/characters I'm familiar with. I do like seeing other people's mass decks though, so many pretty banners!

My whole collection and indeed whole site generation script are built around mass decks, sooo … I started off collecting various mass decks based on vague themes, which was a good way to get some initial masteries from cards in recycled art, but then I decided there wasn't that much point collecting all these decks of characters I didn't know. So now my mass deck collection is just, um. series I have some vague knowledge of and interest in.

I don't have mass decks as in my cards aren't separated in any way other than collecting/future/keeping/trading, but usually if I'm collecting a series then I'll be collecting every deck from that series.

I've seen people collect decks based on the characters' hair color and thought it was cute!

Mass decks my beloved! Besides some standard series ones, I have my very favorite "Oops All Anges" mass deck of characters named Ange (or variations containing Ange), decks with "ange" in the name, etc. I also collect characters with Gender Vibes and fashion designers/models. And it's more in hindsight than for active collecting, but I have a little mass deck showcase of decks I've spedrun within 24 hours of their release hahaha



I also have mass decks on behalf of my two besties that don't play TCGs, so I can collect their favs for them. <3


When I have time, I'm borrowing Mini's awesome idea and putting together "characters my OCs have smooched" mass deck.

behold!! my mini mass decks are mostly series with a smaller amount of decks (like nichijou and dandadan), series that i enjoy but that aren't Formative or Huge for me (like blue lock and oshi no ko), or a few category decks (oni, sharks, eli vibes)

i should. probably redo it though, it's kinda arbitrary what's outside my "mini mass deck" category and what's not. like i could probably swap my sharks mass deck and my kagepro mass deck because there aren't so many kagepro decks and it's not a huge enough fandom for me to have out like that.

I'm pretty selective with my mass decks, but I love them!! Most of my mass decks are from my absolute favorite series that happen to have a LOT of decks (IM@S Million Live and Shiny Colors, Atelier, Vocaloid), and just recently I started my rhythm games mass deck, which is my first one based on genre rather than series. Personally, I think I'd only make mass collections for series where there are a ton of decks and I'm going to be collecting every deck anyway, or at least most of the decks. It really adds a lot of fun themes to my collection and I super enjoy it! It also gives me goals for donations in the future haha.

I'm almost entirely done with my Million Stars and Shiny Colors collections, so I need to start thinking about how to display that when they're all mastered and what I can replace it with...

I really like seeing everyone else's mass decks too, some of the themes are super creative!

i'm definitely aiming to collect all decks for specific series like Hyouka, Ano Hana, Pokemon Special and specific Precure seasons! but might only get around to setting up a mass deck page once I have a more decks mastered hehe

but being introduced to the idea of mass decking with themes like 'favourite anime' or something else sounds really fun !!! gonna think about that too now that i've learned about it :3

i have.... 14 mass decks currently. y'know i've never actually sat down and counted them all before now, it's way more than it feels? i have a few more i'd like to do but i've told myself i'm not allowed to start anymore until i've finished a couple of the ones i already have. i think my closest to being done are probably my mahou sensei negami and heart no kuni no alice ones, fun fact it WAS my show by rock mass deck where i got it down to TWO CARDS REMAINING and then four new decks were released!!! after years of no new sb69 decks!!! still it's nice to know there are still other fans around for the series.

i have a couple mass decks, but my main one is yaoi/bl media !!! so danmei, yaoi animanga, etc. :D i have a couple other ones that are just series, like fire emblem: three houses, milgram, and evangelion :D

I have 11 "big" mass decks, one compilation mass deck (works of Junji Ito) & then a catch-all for series that don't/won't have enough decks to make into their own thing. It's always a struggle not to add more, especially when I've done the rounds and have scooped the majority of what there is from other player's trading piles... But I need to complete a few more before I build on it, I think lmao

I enjoy mass decks! I have finished 3 and I have a few that I'm thinking of starting soon (Resident Evil, TGSWIIWAGAA, Animal Crossing NPCS). I like the idea of categorizing your masteries by series and collecting all of the decks in a series!

i don't have any mass decks at the moment, and i doubt i'll have them for any series in the future since they feel so daunting to me. i can barely keep up with just collecting my faves! 😆 but i do adore looking at people's mass decks and seeing the dedication they put in it. and they look so aesthetically pleasing too, seeing a whole group of all the characters in a series. i guess the closest to a "mass deck" i may have is i'd love to master the decks of my ships across various series. we'll see!

I have a few mass decks! My favorites are actually my two which aren't fandom-related - one is a mass deck of cats, and the other is characters named Chloe (which is my irl name lol, i'm a little bit self-centered like that). I also am massing witch hat atelier decks, and pokemon decks as well (which is TRULY an endeavor).

I used to go overboard for mass collecting, but now I try to keep it small. I can say at the moment I am finished with my Rockman Mass collection (that or I may have one in collecting now, but I think it was one haha.) Yu-Gi-Oh I started to add more, so thats not finished either haha. But I really do enjoy updating it and seeing it build up!

I'm still pretty new to Colors so I haven't dived into mass decks just yet, but I'm inspired by a lot of people who have already completed so many! If I were to choose something to create a mass deck for, I guess it'd be the female characters from Honkai Impact 3rd if not all of the characters. FMA would be a great mass deck to collect too--each character from FMA is unique and likeable~

I only have 1 official mass deck, which is "pink haired characters I don't know but think are cute." Unofficially I mass deck a lot of my favorite series, I just don't put them into separate sections on my post or anything because I'm too lazy for that. I love seeing other people's unique mass decks though, like not series-specific but random themes like animal decks or funny deck names or whatever.

i don't have many mass decks right now because of how sporadically i ACTUALLY submit my masteries, since i like displaying them and that means i have to edit code on multiple pages... <- lazy
i want to start a mass deck of some random ass characters named "misha" because that would be funny and there aren't TOO many so it would be a worthwhile undertaking. the last of the uuultrac characters were donated so i think i can in good faith start my adelta mass deck...i will play cocoon one day i promise
