Hello everyone, and welcome back to Seiyuu Guess! Our host for this game is Shizuka, a rookie seiyuu who's still learning the tricks of the trade! She's been provided with a description, image, and clip of a certain character, and it's up to you to help her figure out who voices them.
It's that time again - the Seiyuu Guess last year retrospective! Each January we take a look back at shows from the previous year. Let's check out some great series and seiyuu from 2024!
Lewis Smith always wanted to be a hero - someone like Superman or a Power Ranger. But since those guys only exist on TV, he settled for joining the military and becoming a Titanostrider (TS) pilot instead. He and some fellow American troops are participating in an international training exercise when a certain Japanese solider catches his eye: Isami Ao. He challenges him to a friendly one-on-one TS duel, but before they can face off, all hell breaks loose. Mecha-like aliens rain down from the sky, destroying everything in their path. Just as Isami's caught in one's crosshairs, this giant robot appears out of nowhere and saves him. The robot urges Isami to get inside him, and the two manage to defeat the immediate threat. But the fight's only just begun. It'll be up to Isami and his robot friend (with Lewis providing TS backup) to stop the alien invasion. Let's hear the clip...
"Next question. Your pilot, Second Lieutenant Isami--"
"Isami! Of course. I want you all to hear the story of Isami and me. Chapter One: The Two Meet and Are Bound Together. ... And the moment I saw Isami, I felt something bittersweet flooding my hydraulics. And my instincts told me, 'I want him to ride inside me!' And he said yes, when I asked. He came inside me. My power source was on the verge of bursting with the intense pathos of it all! For me, it was my first experience... This, I knew, was what it meant to be bound together... Accepting Isami within me meant accepting everything. Each time he yanked my control stick up and down, I moved with him. The two of us were truly one! ... His courage, his passion - with each violent movement inside me, I could feel them exploding, mixing with the oil inside me! Together with him, I knew, I could win! And then I--"
"They've come back from the North Shore crash site!"
