Hey everyone! We've got just a few days left in our Advent Calendar, but there's still time for some last-minute fun! Today we're going to play our own Colors version of a classic Hanukkah game:

Spin the Dreidel!

Hanukkah's just around the corner, so let's celebrate by playing dreidel! In a game of dreidel, each player contributes one game piece (such as Hanukkah gelt, coins, etc.) into a pot. Then players take turns spinning the dreidel, and whatever side the dreidel lands on determines their next move. The four sides of the dreidel and what they mean are:

• Nun (נ‎): The player does nothing.
• Gimel (ג‎): The player takes everything in the pot.
• Hei (ה): The player takes half of the pot, rounding up if there's an odd number of pieces.
• Shin (ש): The player puts one of their pieces into the pot.

Sounds like fun, right? Here's how our version will work:

How to Play:
• I'll start the game with five coins already in the pot.
• Reply to this post to spin the dreidel. You'll get five coins to start you off when you post your first spin.
• I'll reply to your spin with your result (nun, gimel, hei, or shin). I'll keep track of both the amount of coins each player has and the amount of coins in the pot.
• Post each spin in a new comment, not as a reply to me or the previous player.
• You can spin as many times as you want, but you must wait for at least two other players to comment before you can spin again.
• Whenever the pot is emptied, I'll put five coins back in to keep the game going. If anyone's luck is ever so bad that they end up with zero coins, I'll give them another five coins so they can keep playing. 😂
• Once the game is over, I'll reply to everyone with the total number of coins they won. Then I'll open up replies to the rewards thread at the start of the post. There you'll be able to turn your coins in for prizes like random cards, choice cards, crayons, etc.!
