Woo, less than 10 days until Christmas! :D Today's topic is:

Favorite Anime/Manga Pets and Mascots!

Animals are a super diverse subject when it comes to anime! Some characters just have normal animals for pets, while some have robotic or magical creatures accompanying them. Which ones are your favorite? Are there any that you wish could be your own pet?

The prize for this round is one choice character card featuring an animal or mascot! (Character cards featuring a human character holding their companions (example) do NOT count; it must be from a character deck featuring the mascot itself (eg; the Wish deck). However, if the mascot happens to have a human form in one of their cards, those are fine!) Please make sure you note what you're taking in your comment.

And like the rest of the Advent Calendar days, you may comment up until December 31st!

I love Teddie from Persona 4! His bear puns and cute squeaking sounds, as much as other people find them annoying, are very adorable in my opinion. And his social link actually bought me to tears ;~;

John from Tiger & Bunny is definitely one of my favorites. He's just so cute.

And all the fairies from all of the Pretty Cure series. I just love them all.

Currently my favorite mascot/animal characters are the box weapons from Katekyo Hitman Reborn. Specifically Uri, Natsu/Nuts, Roll and of course Hibird. I really wish they had/have some more screen time.

John♥ and the dog from Azumanga are both super cute! I don't like dogs in real life but they're so cute in anime ♥♥♥. Oh, and I love Luna, Artemis, and Diana, too! The mice from No. 6 were also super, super cute.

The best mascot is undoubtedly Penpen from Neon Genesis Evangelion. He was an awesome penguin years before ~~it was popular~~ Mawaru Penguindrum happened.

Well, I also love Tako-Luka (she counts as mascot, what are you even saying), Darumakka (Pokemon also count too), Azunyan 2 from K-ON!, Mira from Silent Hill, Kyubey and Charlotte from Madoka Magica, motherfucking Chocobos, Amaterasu and Chibiterasu from Okami and the Parrot from Professor Layton.

And taking... Brush08.

Ooooohh. I love Mokona from xxxHolic. It's just extremely cute and talkative, I wish I had it as my pet!

Do I really even have to say who my favorite is? It's obviously....CHI!!! =^0^= I'd so totally love to have Chi as a pet, but somehow I don't think my cats would love her as much as I do! XD

Other pets and mascots I like include, Suppi from Cardcaptor Sakura, all the cats from Nyan Koi!, Blair from Soul Eater, Blackie, Alice, Kocchi from Chi's Sweet Home, Tailmon, Mikemon, Bastemon, Patamon, Renamon from Digimon, the Eeveelutions, Meowth, Glameow, Skitty, Purrlion, Liepard, Buneary, and Chikorita from Pokemon....Hmm, I'm starting to see a theme here. XD I pretty much love all cats and cat-like creatures. ;3

Haha I think I don't usually like animanga pets/mascots so much, never was really interested. Mostly just I'd just be like "ohh cutee" but that's it?

But heh, I think I can come up with a few that I actually find interesting in their own way even though I'm not /super/ into them or something.
First would be Nyanko-sensei from Natsume Yuujinchou. And uhh, that cat is not cute but is cute haha He's very interesting... orz
Then I guess there's that Blacky (was that his name?) from Ao no Exorcist. I think he's very cute ;v; sdfdgfj I don't really have any big reasons to why I like them, I guess it's just that they are well integrated into the story, I guess!
Also, do pokemons count? I have a lot I like, but it's very biased reasons LOL.

My favorite is Koromaru from Persona 3! He's just got an awesome design and he is also part of your team to fight. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Leon from Reborn XD Who doesn't want a shape-shifting animal. I also like Mukurowl, Uri, Natsu, Roll, Hibird and Bel's Mink. Yujiro from Hana Kimi is also pretty cute. Does Chopper from One Piece count? He is partially an animal and is sorta the mascot. Also Happy from Fairy Tail, Kero from CCS, Kyubee from Madoka and Mokona from xxxHolic. Taking ayesir07.

I love Kero and Suppi in Cardcaptor Sakura. I also think Tama is somewhat hilarious in Hayate the Combat Butler.

Though Kero is my all-time favorite "pet" type character, especially in his lion form, I have to say that Kyuubey has a special place in my heart as well. I do believe that having an animal around that can keep coming back even after being shot to pieces by firearms is a fairly good thing! If anything, Kyuubey would be the best companion in the Zombie Apocalypse!

Wiz from D.N. Angel and Steak from Tegami Bachi. Wiz was really adorable, and Steak is hilarious to watch, especially when Niche threatens to cook him. Shiro from Sengoku Otome was pretty hilarious, too.

I'm not sure which one I prefer, I love them all.

Chi from Chi's Sweet Home! I love kittens, and she's the cutest of the cute. And having a cat myself I can totally identify with her owners and their problems.

Hmm, that's a tough one. Kyuubey from Madoka Magica was one of my faves, though I will admit to liking the sort of mascots that are tough and vicious and scary but then make O.O faces (Like Keroberos I guess and Spinel) Nezumi's rats are also really cute ;u;

Ralts from Pokemon. NGL, I've been a Pokefan since Red and Blue was released, and no Pokemon has taken my heart more than Ralts did in 2003. Loving it forever and ever.

I have a few mascots I do like Teddie from Persona 4. His bear puns are adorable. And his squeaks. I also love black hayate from FMA. Such a loyal dog.

CHOCOBOS!! I love them~ they're so feathery, adorable, and awesome... and I COULD RIDE ONE!

Other than that, Yuuno the Ferret (see icon) is always great, too~

As for all-time favorites, there's also Tails from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. In fact, I'll be taking tails01! Thank you very much~~

I always thought Mokona looked wonderfully squishable. But having Kero around would also be great. Pet lion who can fly? Heck yeah! Orrrr, the lovely lady cabbit in my icon. She's the cutest thing and also doubles as a spaceship. Hard to beat that.

nyanko-sensei/madara from natsume yuujinchou is one of my favorites. i think the only pets/mascots i would want as pets are certain pokemon like furret and espeon.

aHHHHHHH i didn't realize the card had to be of the mascot we named. i hope it's still ok that i took a card from the brush deck, given that she's an animal and is the mascot of her own game.

Yep, it's okay! It doesn't have to be one that you named, just of a mascot in general, so the brush deck is fine ♥

My favourite animal...thing is definitely Repede of Tales of Vesperia. He's such a cutie and a badass and aaah I want a dog like him, even if he doesn't really like being petted and stuff... ;; I like Ein from Cowboy Bebop too! Basically, I like anything that looks vaguely dog-like...

I used to love Gatomon a lot if that counts xD (and a bunch of other Digimon + pokemon...)
Also I'm collecting Madara of Natsume after watching the anime for only a few episodes because I think he's adorable 8D I don't know, I seem to have a weakspot for fat, talking cats :P Since I also love the Cheshire Cat. I'm generally a sucker for cute, fluffy things so yeah... xD

I think there are a lot of OLD mascots that aren't being recognized! Pen-Pen from Evangelion was a great mascot! A few more favorites, are Timcampy from D.Gray-Man, Slash from Mahoromatic, Momo from Samurai Champloo, totoros from Totoro, the Kodama from Princess Mononoke!

I definitely love Chi from Chi's Sweet Home! ;A; Gah that series is just so cute and full of adorableness and love.

I'm also a big fan of the Eevees and cat-type Pokemon, Kyuubey from Madoka Magica, Hummy from Suite Precure (actually, most of the fairies from the Precure seasons are awesome), and of course John from Tiger&Bunny ♥

...seriously i have a thing for Neo Spacian Aqua Dolphin. From the moment he appeared in YGO GX, I was torn between laughing my ass off at his appearance or shrieking. I did both.
then i found more youtube crack videos about him and i laughed more

Aw I really like fluffy things, and the Kikwis (http://zelda.wikia.com/wiki/Kikwi) from Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword look so huggable ;~;... It doesn't hurt that they're really friendly too and they make the cutest sounds ;A; Likewise, Nopons (http://xenoblade.wikia.com/wiki/Nopon) from Xenoblade Chronicles are so cute too ajsldkajd I was really happy when I found out you can have one in your party *A* They also speak in really bad english xDD

I don't usually have any interest in mascot characters, but I do like Kyubey! It's probably since he's meant to be the opposite of what you would typically expect from one (i.e. super cute, friendly and lovable, and just very, very innocent). Repede from Tales of Vesperia is another example since, again, he's not your typical mascot character either, but I will admit he was super cute as a puppy and I just wanted to hold him forever hjgkhahh Oh, and Teddie's another I do like, since he gets pretty fleshed out in P4, and I like Kuro from Ao no Exorcist, too!

I LOVE YOUR BANNER AND SKY HIGH AND HIS DOG ;A; Seriously, cutest thing in the world. It may actually kill me. I also love the pet companions they seem to have in DMMD, but as the game has yet to be released, we still know very little about them. Aoba's Pomeranian is so cute, though. ;w; I also love Ba'ul from Tales of Vesperia! Although that may just be my Judith brain talking, I played her at one point in time...
