Colors TCG 14th Anniversary - Day 4

I hope we're all enjoying the anniversary, Colors! Today let's have a little chat about something that may seem insignificant to some, but are huge to us fans: small fandoms!

What are some canons you love that don't seem to get a lot of love from others? Series you wish more people would get into? Any previously unknown series you've gotten into because of something at Colors--seeing the decks, a rec from a player, etc? What good experiences have you had in a small fandom? Do you like smaller fandoms or do you prefer big ones with lots of content? Any fanworks for small fandoms you want to share (your own or someone else's)?

For answering, you can take 3 choice cards from different series, plus a copy of fourteenate04. Just list them along with your response!

Like all anniversary posts, this game will close on July 1st at noon GMT!

I like big fandoms! My two main interests rn both have huge fandoms (one is not Colors-related tho) and it's fantastic.

As for smaller fandoms, I wanna say Mairimashita! Iruma-kun but it is decently popular and has multiple anime seasons and spin-offs but it still feels on the smaller side, y'know? In any case, there's something about this manga that I just adore, and I can't even pinpoint why. I have seen people say it feels like "older shounen" and I can totally see where they're coming from (I'm thinking it feels early 00s? tho my definition of "older" skews even older than that), so mayhaps that's one of the factors that makes me so fond of it? I dunno! But it's fun and I like it and I hope more people will read it.

For actual small/non-existent fandoms (or possibly up-and-coming? Girl meets Rock just came out this year and Pyramid Game is getting a webseries, I think?), some things I've enjoyed reading recentlyish in past year or so: Mieruko-chan, Girl Meets Rock!, Pyramid Game, Escape Room, Usotsuki Satsuki, Surviving Romance, I See You! Aizawa-san, Garden Club Detective Squad

And then some random semi-popular, not popular enough and/or 'There was a fandom at some point' stuff that I like off the top of my head: Gash Bell, Muhyo and Rouji, Detective Academy Q, Undead Unluck, Saint Seiya (alright, I know this is actually hugely popular but not as much as it used to be, a lot of fanfic archives, fansites, forums, etc. are gone now), Cardfight!! Vanguard, aaand... pretty much any older shoujo I like -- Hana-Kimi getting an anime is really cool and unexpected btw! It gives me hope that other 90s shoujo will get adaptions, like, Vampire Game or Dragon Knights would be super fun.

Oh my gosh, that makes me really, really happy to hear! I always kind of hope people will check out things I donate, so thank you for giving it a try!

Saint Seiya was the reason I joined Colors, I heard of it years earlier from a LJ friend and came to check it out and it was like -- wait, there are Saint Seiya fans here?! There are decks of everyone O M G! But yeah, it will always remain one of my favourite series of all time and I will always be of the opinion that it needs much more love.
