Introduction

Pot of Gold is a monthly game. The objective of the Pot of Gold is to complete different 'tasks' that will be different every month. You'll get small rewards for completing them individually, but receive bonuses if you manage to complete all of them. How much of the rainbow can you complete?

This month's theme is... Honkai: Star Rail!

Rules

☆ Everything collected and turned in for these tasks must be done and logged in between April 1st and May 1st. You get one month and one month only, use it wisely.
☆ When commenting here after completing a task, make sure you label your subject with Completed:, as well as the number of the task you finished.
☆ Please give me a link to your logs with every comment you make. Also, make sure you link me all the stuff that I need to check.
☆ I will be able to pass out most of the prizes (excluding the grand prize) before the end of the month, so please tell me (with a note in your comment) if you want them earlier.
☆ Pot of Gold tasks can only be turned in when the round is open, so that means that after 12:01 PM GMT on May 1st, you can't turn in anything even if your tasks were completed and logged in the correct time!
☆ You can format your comment however you prefer. Veth has posted a lovely code here that you can use if you'd like.
☆ If you are using a coupon for your rewards - please link it somewhere I can see so that I can process it when giving out rewards!

Red Task

Himeko ventures across the universe as the navigator of the Astral Express. Why not help her out and give her some ideas of where they could possibly go in the future?

Task: Tell us about one place you'd wish to visit - real or fictional.
Reward: 10 random cards + 1 crayon

Orange Task

Guinaifen is a streamer currently residing upon the Xianzhou Luofu who is always looking for the next big scoop. This time, though, she's looking to interact with those who seem to be working the hardest.

Task: Master two decks this month. Primary tier players only have to master one deck.
Reward: 10 random cards

Yellow Task

Aventurine is a senior manager in the IPC as well as one of what's known as the Ten Stonehearts. Impress him enough and he might just put in a good word for you.

Task: Use at least 5 services this month. Art Shop, Art Studio, Recycled Art, Donations, Masteries, Levels, Activity Rewards, or others will be accepted.
Reward: 15 random cards + 1 crayon

Green Task

Dan Heng, an incomplete reincarnation of the previous Vidyadhara high elder, currently acts as archivist and guard to the Astral Express. Since he's trying to put his past life behind him, help him add to the data bank.

Task: Give 3 book recommendations.
Reward: 5 random cards + 1 crayon

Blue Task

Gepard is the captain of the Silvermane Guards, responsible for the city's defenses as well as maintaining peace. However, after what happened with the previous Supreme Guardian, he's slowly coming to the realization that there's more to maintaining peace than following orders to the letter.

Task: Trade with 12 people this month!
Reward: 10 random cards + 2 crayons

Purple Task

Serval runs the Neverwinter Workshop - a unique workshop that accepts jobs such as: machine maintenance and troubleshooting, ancient relic repairs, acquiring Gepard's signature, and band performance events.

Task: Link 3 of your favorite live concert performances.
Reward: 10 random cards + 2 crayons

Brown Task

Welt is an animator by trade as well as the former sovereign of Anti-Entropy, having saved Earth from annihilation on multiple occasions.

Task: Bring 5 cards featuring characters credited with "saving the world". Cards must be earned during this month. You will lose these cards.
Reward: 5 new release cards

Gray Task

On the Xianzhou Luofu, Jing Yuan is one of seven Arbiter-Generals of the Cloud Knights as well as one of the Six Charioteers. Unfortunately he seems to be missing his glaive, mind finding it for him?

Task: Bring cards spelling out "STARFALL REVERIE". Cards must start with the letter and be earned during this month. You will lose these cards.
Reward: 15 random cards + 3 crayons

Rewards

☆ You can earn up to a total of 75 random cards, 5 new release cards, and 10 random crayons for completing the tasks for this month.
☆ Completing all the tasks will earn you an additional 20 random cards, 3 random crayons and the GRAND PRIZE!


☆ GRAND PRIZE A: double art studio limits (5 months, does not need to be consecutive)
☆ GRAND PRIZE B: +5 slots for release (5 uses)

wondering if this is a mistake but the brown task has "cards must start with the letter", which is confusing to me regarding the rest of the task itself. would this mean that like they have to start with the letter "s" for saving the world, or...?

also idk if it's just me, but i'm not seeing the top image for POG here, all the other images show up fine.

		Red Task: Completed Tell us about one place you'd wish to visit I would like to visit the Pokemon version of Johto. I have experienced Kyoto more then enough, and lived my share of rural Japan and old temples. But there is just something different of Johto. Something traditional and rustic but yet so lively and fantasy like. I would absolutly love to visit here.

		Green Task: Completed Give 3 book recommendations. I don't really read much but I guess I can rec some Danmei books. 1. Mo Dao Zu Shi: Your not surprised I recc this. Its a pretty refreshing series as while there is BL, its easily not the primary focus of the whole store, as there is a bigger plot and mystery that surrounds this, as well as really morally gray characters (in a good way). A good chunk is flashbacks and flash forwards, a lot of war and a nice focus on politics. This sounds silly but its also nice for a series that doesnt bring up the Emperor at the time as well (a lot of series do). Jiang Cheng best boy/uncle/milf/sect leader. Every adaptation is a bit lacking, but its supposed to get a Manga that is close to the book soon. 2. The Husky and his White Cat Shizun: This one is an oh boy. Its pretty known to cover a lot of sad and dark themes at times, but yet its also pretty funny. It covers a lot of timelines and weird jumps, but its really easy to fall for a lot of the characters, especially my little prince Xue Meng hue hue. It has a lot of emotions, but is so worth the trials and tribulations. Never getting its live action so I just recc reading hehe. 3. The Raven of the Inner Palace: I lied, I also have a non danmei. The book series goes pretty hard later on and gets pretty interesting. A bit of mystery and a lot of build up. It has an anime but they only cover about the first 3 books, while there is quite a lot to go through still. Every character good.

Echo by Thomas Olde Heuvelt - one part survival horror, one part possession story, one part embracing the monstrous (sometimes literally). a mountaineer survives an accident on the maudit, a mountain viewed by the locals as evil. he is left forever changed, both physically and spiritually, by the mountain, and both he and his boyfriend grapple with what happened and what's to come as a result. 03. Camp Damascus by Chuck Tingle - read anything by chuck tingle tbh. but for real, i know he has a reputation as an erotica author, but his horror is very good. it's about burning down a gay conversion camp and the evil that runs it!! i've also heard that bury your gays is very good as well. 04. The Only Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones - bonus because i have too many recs, and i love horror by indigenous authors. a group of friends are forced to come to terms with what happened 10 years prior by a spirit looking to avenge her kin. i don't know if i can say more than that without giving too much away.

I'm planning to go for the next enstars Dream Live that has 2wink on the setlist! I'm also hoping I'll get lucky enough to get a reservation for Cafe Cinnamon, one of my friends was able to visit recently and said it was an amazing experience.

		Green Task: Complete Give 3 book recommendations. 1. Strange Grace by Tessa Gratton - Polyamory, witches, human sacrifices to the devil, and some really haunting twists towards the end. I may have initially read it by sailing the high seas, but I bought it for myself the instant I had the money. 2. Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith by Matthew Stover - Listen. Listen. I know this sounds ridiculous. But it is genuinely amazing what this novelization was able to do. It's a really beautiful character piece and makes the story feel way more like a devastating tragedy than the movie ever could. 3. The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver - Alright, I don't know for sure if this book is actually good. I was forced to read it in high school and it was an ordeal because of all the assignments that came with it. However, years later, I still find myself thinking about it. It's stuck with me in a way not many books have.

		Purple Task: Complete Link 3 of your favorite live concert performances. 1. Lucky☆Orb [Miku Expo 2021] - Really can't go wrong with this song, and the band looks like they're having so much fun! This whole concert was a weird experience, but thanks to it being streamed free online because of the pandemic, it was the first and so far only vocaloid "concert" I've been able to attend. I stayed up almost 24 hours just so I could catch all the artist sessions live, lol. 2. 1 2 Fanclub + Ten Faced [NicoNicoCho Party 2014] - If you like your vocaloid concerts with a little more effort put in, NicoNicoCho is where it's at! The thing that makes them special is that they're technically "unofficial", which means they can do a lot more wild and crazy stuff than, say, a Crypton-backed concert like Miku Expo can. Other vocaloids and even different vocal synths like utau can get in on the fun, and they go SO hard on the modules. 3. Uruwashi no Nightingale [Ensemble Stars Dream Live 7th Tour] - I'd be remiss if I didn't include enstars somewhere on this list! Of course, I wanted to include my beloved 2wink, but there haven't been any individual uploads of their songs yet, so my other favorite Valkyrie it is. I wanted to go with DL7 specifically because I actually attended a live viewing of this concert and it was an amazing experience! The theater was packed with penlights and ita bags and nuis and lots of screaming fans. I'm looking forward to doing the same for DL8 in May! Anyway, it might be a bit blasphemous of me to not go with Acanthe, but this is honestly my favorite Valk song, and I wanted to show it some love since this was the first time we've ever seen it performed. It doesn't even have a game MV yet. The vocals are gorgeous and I love the fantasy vibe the song has, which I really think the performance captured perfectly.

I'm both a Pokemon lover and an animal lover in general, and the thought of living in a world where people and animals/Pokemon live and work together and coexist peacefully is like an absolute dream to think about. Even if ur not a trainer or going off on big adventures, it just seems like mundane life in the Pokemon world would be so cool to see...

I love reading and could recommend like 50 books but here are three: Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones: The book that the Ghibli movie is based on!! It's a quick read, and is actually the first book in a trilogy. It's different from the movie in a lot of ways, but also similar in a lot of ways. If you love one, you're basically guaranteed to love the other. Each rendition of the story has its own special charm. I found the experience of reading this book to be a cozy treat all the way through, and I'll definitely return to it in the future as a comfort read. Redwall by Brian Jacques: the Redwall books are an absolute delight to read. They're children's/middle-grade books, so they're really easy to get through. They're about a bunch of little anthropomorphic woodland animals who live in an abbey called Redwall. There are many characters over many generations (there's so many books) who go on quests and adventures for all kinds of reasons ranging from prophecy to protecting their friends from political oppression. They're fun and easy without feeling too juvenile, and the world-building and characters are so interesting and captivating. A really good and simple fantasy series. There is also an animated series! Bird Cottage by Eva Meijer: A very little-known novel that I adored so much and wish I could shove into the face of every person on earth. It's a story based on an actual researcher, a woman who made huge strides in our understanding of bird behavior by spending her life befriending and studying the birds in her back garden. The book is a partially-fictionalized biography about her. She was very mysterious and not much was known about her, so the author used her imagination to fill in the gaps in a really fascinating story. If you like animals or biology at all, you will love this book. I wasn't a bird person before and this book gave me an entirely new appreciation for them. I think about it a lot.

Recently listened to this audiobook voiced by Meryl Streep! I really enjoyed it and all of the MC's theatre stories! This book is also set in 2020, and I feel it was a great time period for this story. 5 stars for me.

- Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
This was my re-introduction to fantasy and I loved it. Bardugo's world building is great and really immersive, and this was a book I could not put down. I recently picked up the companion series, Six Of Crows and hope to read it soon!

- Aristotle and Dante Discover The Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz
I read this book a while ago, but it was a very good exploration of the teenage lives of two gay guys. The first book is definitely better than the second though. (╥_╥)
