Hello everyone, and welcome back to Seiyuu Guess! Our host for this game is Shizuka, a rookie seiyuu who's still learning the tricks of the trade! She's been provided with a description, image, and clip of a certain character, and it's up to you to help her figure out who voices them.
Today's my birthday, so I thought it'd be fun to feature a character from an anime that came out the year I was born! It's 2089 AD, and while I'll, God willing, be celebrating my 100th birthday here on Earth, the people of Venus will be having a much rougher go of it. Ever since we colonized the planet way back in the dark ages of 2018, we've been attempting to terraform it without much luck. Now war has broken out between the continents of Ishtar and Aphrodia, and this guy is caught up in the conflict. As a battlebike rider, he honestly couldn't care less about the politics of it all, but when the war is brought quite literally to his doorstep, he has no choice but to get involved. Let's hear the clip...
"C'mon, sit down--"
"This photo..."
"Oh, that? Dad was involved with that a long time ago. He even got some sort of award for his work on it."
"It's my parents' plantation."
"Huh?"
"In New Musashi. I'm sure of it."
"Really? What a coincidence that we had a connection like this. Hey, what are you doing?"
"It's just garbage."
"It is not, [character name]!"
"Listen to me! Garbage is garbage! The algae we grow on the plantation are worthless. They wilt during the Month of Heat and freeze during the Month of Darkness. As long as the project continues, the government's happy. The only thing the farmers care about is making money! 'Venus will soon be covered with plants' - what a lie! This war's the same. No real reasons, no real enemies, no real friends. Look at this! Our own troops did this to me!"
Tell Shizuka the character's name, their seiyuu, and what film they're from for fifteen random cards and one random birthday candy!
