Hey everyone! I hope everyone's been having fun with the anniversary so far! Speaking of which, let me introduce y'all to something I've been having a lot of fun with lately:

Fun with AI!

A few months ago I discovered this really cool site called Waifu Labs! Basically, using an AI, you can generate anime-style character portraits. Color palette, art style, pose - it's all up to you! And for something AI-generated, the results can be pretty awesome! (Maybe not as funny as DALL-E, but definitely better-looking, lmao.) For example, all of the characters in today's banner are ones I've made.

Now it's your turn! Comment to this post with a character of your own. You can:

-Try to recreate a pre-existing character. Some examples of mine: Epel, Silver, and Jade from Twisted Wonderland; Kaori from Your Lie in April; and one that turned out looking like Relena from Gundam Wing. For something non-anime, here's the Animorphs crew lmao.

-Try to make one of the Colors Universe characters! I honestly haven't tried this myself, but I should!

-Or just wow me with your one-of-a-kind original creation! Honestly I love seeing what this thing comes up with, so hit me with whatever you think looks cool.

Tips:
-Click generate at the top of the site to start.
-You can skip any step of the creation process you want! If, say, you like the original colors or want to keep the pose as-is, just click "continue" underneath the character to move on to the next step. If you change your mind, just click the "back" button to return to the previous steps. Don't try to click the back button on your browser, or you'll end up back at the homepage and lose your character. Take it from personal experience lol.
-Click the refresh arrows to get more options! I can be super picky; you don't even want to know how long I've spent refreshing to get a character *just right.* Again, don't use your browser's refresh, or you'll lose your character.
-Shameless plug: you can use characters you make in Arrowmancer, a mobile game made by the same devs. I've been playing since it launched (it's actually what introduced me to this site in the first place), and it's fun! Not even sure how to describe it - part puzzle, part tactics, part action? There's a big update that's supposed to drop on the 14th if you're interested!

Feel free to post as many characters as you want, but as long as you post at least one, you'll be able to claim your prize! For indulging my AI fun, you'll receive twelvendous11, a choice card numbered 01, a choice card numbered 11, and a choice card numbered 12! (Because this is the 12th anniversary, which is 11 years after the 1st anniversary. I am very creative.) You can take your cards as soon as you post; just remember to say which choice cards you're taking in your comment.

Like the other anniversary posts, this game will close on July 1st at noon GMT!

i tried to make my ffxiv character! i wasn't originally thinking of making her, but i got her pink-purple gradient hair relatively fast so i had to go for it...!

I know one of these sites used to mine while you messed with it 🤔 but dang there so many AI sites now, I guess it became popular haha.

I did my character since it was easier to fine tune colors and style a bit.
