Hello everyone, and welcome back to Seiyuu Guess! Our host for this game is Shizuka, a rookie seiyuu who's still learning the tricks of the trade! She's been provided with a description, image, and clip of a certain character, and it's up to you to help her figure out who voices them.
This week we have a high school girl who, quite frankly, lives a rather sad life. She has no parents. She has no friends. And unless you consider "sitting in your tiny apartment every night eating microwaved fried rice with only your radio for company and then taking a bath punctuated with heavy sighs" a hobby, she doesn't have any of those either. But that all changes one morning when, fed up with her grueling uphill bicycle commute, she stops by a motorbike shop. There she finds the steal of a lifetime: a used but like new Honda Cub for the low low price of 10,000 yen. (It's got a body count, but let's not sweat the small stuff.) Soon she's enjoying the wind in her hair (metaphorically; she wears a helmet) and the camaraderie of her fellow Cub enthusiasts. Let's hear the clip...
When I got my license, I wasn't exactly blown away. But now, after getting that slip of paper, it felt like I had earned some kind of certificate. I don't know if we can call each other friends; we're fellow Cub riders. That may be a relationship that runs deeper than just friends. She told me to be careful. The words of a friend may be one thing, but I can take every last word of a fellow Cub rider and internalize them with all sincerity. I already put her number into my cell. I may end up tossing out this note, along with receipts from the market. But I'll never forget her words. I have no parents. No money, either. Nor do I have any hobbies, friends, or goals for the future. But...where I didn't have anything in my life before...now I have a Cub. I'm sure that my Cub and I can go anywhere we want to.
