Time to discuss all those live action adaptations of manga, anime, and games! Do you love them? Hate them? Have a favorite? Or did one of your favorite series get a terrible live action adaptation? Are there any series you wish would get a live action version or any live actions you'd like to fix to improve them? If you were going to adapt a series, how would you do it?

hello, it is i, your resident moriarty the patriot trash, here to remind everyone that the most brilliant live action version of all time is moriarty the patriot, the musical (which is in three parts and i think it's... like the anime is good, the stage play did a lot of really creative things with the set and god. the casting. the casting!!!!!!

just. please perceive shogo suzuki as william, he's just so good.


he sings so beautifully and he has william's mannerisms down to a t and i'm always of the opinion really that the cast can make or break a stage play because your attention is just focused on the actors even if some of the sets and the props can be kind of questionable?

it's for that reason that i really adore stage adaptations - like. i realise that 2.5d is actually extremely niche but somehow the casting directors for the various stage plays that i really like (yuumori, a3! and to a certain extent enstars) all really have extremely good, talented casts who have gone on to like other projects and i'm really hoping that they bring their talent to even better stage adaptations.

(ALSO PLEASE SUPPORT MY HUSBAND JUNYA KOMATSU who somehow got casted as tamaki in ouran butai even though in my heart he will always be enstage keito hasumi ;_; )

I don't think I've watched that many other live action adaptations, tbh?? barring the untamed (mdzs) and word of honor (faraway wanderers) but i am also excited for the tgcf live action to come out THEY LOOK EXTREMELY CUTE ON SET.
