Colors Chat 91

Finally, school's out for the day. Time to go to your part-time job, get your homework done, or dungeon crawl through the physical manifestation of someone's unconscious psyche. Oh, but wait, the group chat's blowing up! Better see what everyone wants...

Welcome to Colors Chat, where you can chat with your fellow Colors TCG members! For your response to the topic, you'll receive a card rainbow! As a general rule, responses should be around 6 sentences, but if you're a little short that's fine as long as your response is thoughtful. You don't have to answer all the prompts (or any of the prompts at all) as long as your response is on the topic.

This round's topic is.... LIVE ACTION!
Time to discuss all those live action adaptations of manga, anime, and games! Do you love them? Hate them? Have a favorite? Or did one of your favorite series get a terrible live action adaptation? Are there any series you wish would get a live action version or any live actions you'd like to fix to improve them? If you were going to adapt a series, how would you do it?

After you've responded, reply to other players' answers and start up a discussion! You can earn 2 extra random cards by replying to other people, up to 6 bonus cards total. Feel free to have more discussions than that, but you'll only get rewards for your first three conversations. See the first comment on this post for how to obtain your bonus rewards.

Please keep all comments civil and polite. This round ends Sunday, January 9th is now closed.

i tend to be a little skeptical of live action adaptations, but i was really excited about the possibility of a live action adaptation of monster. i really hope it still happens, because it has the potential to be really good? i feel like series that are a little more grounded in reality are the ones i'm most interested in seeing adapted and not more fantastical ones. i seem to recall the japanese death note movies being pretty good! also the death note musical slaps tbh. i feel like anime already does a great job of depicting stuff and some of the stuff that looks great animated just looks off when it's translated to live action (like hair especially...), and you don't have to worry about live-action CGI eventually looking bad as technology advances.
