Colorseum Pokemon Special - part 10

Last week's results:

Mew [12] - [14] Pikachu
Gengar [14] - [12] Leafeon
Bulbasaur [12] - [14] Mimikyu
Spheal [16] - [10] Ninetales

Welcome, players. I am Cynthia, the Pokemon Champion, and I will be taking over the Colorseum from Elizabeth for the duration of the new special tournament - the Pokemon Special.

Want more details?
- The Pokemon Special will be a World Cup-styled tournament, with 32 participants, a group stage and a knockout stage for the top 16.
- In various rounds, there may be up to 8 battles at the same time.
- Please avoid bribes in this tournament. It's more of a popularity poll than an actual competition.
- As usual you decide who will advance to the next round by casting your votes.
- Tied matches in group stage will remain as ties. In the knockout stages the tiebreakers will be based on everyone's performance in the group stage.
- Before the main tournament begins, we will do massive preliminaries to choose the 32 participants.

Now, let's move on to the actual event.

KNOCKOUT STAGE

- The rules are the same as in regular tournaments
- Tiebreakers are decided by everyone's performance in the group stage

The group tables are here:
Groups A-B
Groups C-D
Groups E-F
Groups G-H

And here's the bracket!

So, are the participants ready? Here are today's battles:

SEMIFINALS

BATTLE 1

Pikachu (Electric) vs Gengar (Ghost/Poison)
Tiebreaker: Gengar

BATTLE 2

Mimikyu (Ghost/Fairy) vs Spheal (Ice/Water)
Tiebreaker: Spheal

You can vote using this form, though it is not mandatory.

You don't have to vote in every pair. However, for each vote you will get two random crayons, making it a total of four random crayons.
Remember, the prizes are the same for everyone, no matter who wins the battles! So vote for your favourites, not the Pokemon you 'expect' to win.

This round will close on 8th January, Central European time!
