Advent Calendar - Day 16

It's day 16 of the advent calendar - so now we get to talk about our dream holiday house guests!

By that, I mean that you get to talk about which fictional characters you'd like to have over for the holidays - specifically those you'd either want to give gifts to or receive gifts from. Of course, we wouldn't specify that if we didn't also want to know about the gifts themselves - so feel free to talk about those too.

For answering this post, you get two choice cards numbered 16, which can be special and may be taken immediately, and two crayons. If you link gifts that you'd like to receive or give, you'll also get 1 random card for each gift linked - receiving and giving cap at 3 each. (Do everything, and it should come out to this: two #16 choice cards, six random cards, and two crayons.)

NOTE: The character(s) that you choose do not have to be Colors-eligible. Links for gifts are only needed if you're being specific, but for general things - you're free to just state them.

Like all Advent Calendar days, this closes on January 1st.

I LOVE live music (and really miss going to gigs/concerts/live music events as often as I can) and I also love idol anime series or other series with ~~sudden~~ idols in them. Some of my favorite gifts ever have been tickets to live music events. I've never won one of those lotteries, where anyone can win an artist or a band to their home to throw a private live just for the winner and their friends, so all I want for fictional characters Christmas is...

I would love to have STARISH and others from Uta No Prince-Sama, u's and Aqours from Love Live, Hoshina Utau from Shugo Chara, Shuro Tsukasa from Ayashi No Ceres, some girls from AKB0048 and some Aikatsus over to give me the best live show event ever!!♥

Buuuuuuuuuuut it won't be the best fictional characters live show ever if Mitsuki from Full Moon wo Sagashite isn't there too and if I was picking just one idol from all of these, it would be her! But she could also be the main event after everyone else♥

Okay, these aren't exactly house guests but my apartment is small and even I don't spend my Christmas there. And look, akb0048s bring their stage with them and everyone can perform on that, so that's one problem solved too... If I'd get more gifts than live performance event, I want all of their cds and singles and other releases with autographs and pictures etc too. wow.

It doesn't have to be a Colors-applicable character, so - I was just talking to friends about how a menorah in the style of the Grimm Troupe's lanterns from Hollow Knight would be amazing, and that led to talking about Grimm as a house guest! He'd be the essence of politeness of course, and would probably be some help with frying latkes. As for gifts, he and his troupe could put on a performance that probably won't set my house on fire. Worth it tbh.

I'm also really into tarot decks, and I'm sure bugs have really interesting methods of divination, so maybe Divine could show me some of her stock? And I'd love to get a musical instrument from Brumm... err, preferably not one made out of a bug...

my place isn't good for hosting, but i think it would be cool to spend the holidays at leblanc with the phantom thieves from persona 5. i'd get a gift card to a restaurant for yusuke so that he can't spend it all on art supplies (and probably a gift card to an art supply store so he can buy some supplies), some seeds for different types of herbal tea components and a nice planter box for haru because i think she'd like making her own tea blends, and i'd finally get morgana some expensive sushi to enjoy. i bet futaba would give great fandom gifts (either a new game or collectibles), and makoto would probably be able to find a planner system that i could actually use instead of forgetting about. i'm not sure what akira/ren would get me, but since he's a persona game protagonist it'll inevitably be a perfect gift that will make my confidant rank go up the next time we hang out after school.

i'd also love to exchange gifts with nagi from neo twewy so we could enable each other's silly merch collections. nagi i would like anything from this kino/natalie pop-up from a couple of years ago please and i will track down some rare elestra stuff for you on mercari or something.

my choice for these which fictional characters advent calendars is always xie lian from heaven official's blessing because that boy deserves all the presents in the whole world ;_; he could cook me terrible garbage food and i would buy him ALL the presents like blankets and food and nice things. my sweet boy

i'd also love to have ichiro yamada from hypmic for christmas because is that not just a boy you bring home to your mother? he's cute! he's got a full time job! he's strong! he's got muscles! he packs lunches for his brothers and defends the weak! he also is very christmas themed and i would buy him the nicest miku figure i could possibly afford. or like, apple store cards for his gacha habits. relatable.

Il Fado De Rie (he's not on Colors, but I intend to rectify this soon). He's a sweet baby boy who's an otome nerd and we could exchange otome games and merch as gifts and ramble about them all day long over hot chocolate (he'd probably want coffee). Funnily enough, the otome game he's from is what got me back into them and I've been dipping my feet.

Finding him a game he hasn't already played would be the tough part, so we'd stick with special merch. Like these from Collar x Malice, and some Hakuouki gear. Maybe a stand of his BFF Misyr.

As for me, he'd get me games because he'd want me to talk about them with him, so maybe Nightshade, Piafore, and Olympia Soiree?

The ones I would invite to my house would the kids from 104th Training Squad in Attack on Titan, to let them experience calm and fun in Christmas and to take them away from the world that's trying to kill them. I would also love to invite the Levi Squad and other veterans to have some nice time as well. At least give them a chance to momentarily live a day or two in peace.

The greatest gift they could give me are hugs. I love hugs and getting hugged by Jean or Mikasa would be dreamy. I would also love for Reiner to give me a piggypack ride and maybe Sasha to cook for me something tasty out of whatever ingredients we have.

I would give Mikasa a new sewing kit to keep her scarf maintained, Jean some nice smelling cologne to impress Mikasa with and Sasha some nice cooking tools.

My choices for characters are always extremely obvious but I'd love to have Beatrix from Granblue Fantasy over at my place ;w; I'm super biased because she's like my favorite character of all time but since we both enjoy baking, I'd love to bake holiday treats with her. Plus getting a chance to try her cooking would be my absolute dream.

Besides her, having the entire cast of Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun over would be an absolute blast because of how chaotic it would be LOL. I have plenty of art supplies to give to Chiyo and since I'm such a foodie, I want to try Nozaki's cooking. Also watching Mikorin and Seo just being... themselves would be the greatest present.

Hmm. This is a tough one so I've sat on it a bit and I'm still not super sure of my answer, haha. I think my initial kneejerk reaction to these things is "let me spoil my favorite character". So for example, Eri from My Hero Academia I'd love to have over and give lots of snacks, a giant stuffed animal, and some kind of outfit!! And I'd happily accept a smile or maybe a cute drawing...

My biased to Riza Hawkeye being validated is also High and also she can cook if she wants to so ??? Maybe I'd ask for shooting lessons for a present and give her a nice pair of earrings. And for the holidays we could just... Sit and read a book together. It'd be nice and quaint.

As for the last person HMMM. Maybe it'd be nice to have the Aqours girls (or especially Ruby...) Around for a live performance? Idol music always makes me happiest and when I think this time of year I think the holiday-esque episode of them making a song for the big sisters and Ij ust... Seeing that in performance in real life is neat! That'd be a great present that I don't think I could properly return but maybe like?? Give Ruby my limited edition postal stamps of the Muse girls... She'd probably still like that!

Listen, I just want the entire DBZ cast to show up. Not only do those people know how to eat, they know how to throw one hell of a memorable event. If my house is destroyed in the process, so be it.

I'm not sure what I'd give most of them aside from a headband of reindeer antlers I would con Vegeta into wearing somehow.

Maybe Goku could get several hundred dollars worth of gift cards for idk Applebees, Golden Corral, whatever he wants, both, all of them.

Goten and Trunks would just get a day in a bouncy castle like they deserve.

Chi-Chi gets a mani/pedi spa day gift card. Bulma does, too, just to keep Chi-Chi company (please, she can afford it).

hmm, honestly I can think of a lot of characters I'd love to have over but let's say... Haru Shinkai from Digimon Appli Monsters! I don't really have a good reason other than the fact that he's a sweetheart and also having somebody else to nerd out with about books sounds like an awesome time LOL for a gift I'd like to receive... I can't really link it because I'm not sure what it would be, but whatever would be his top book recommendation! As for gifts I would give, this Hobbit + Lord of the Rings boxset by J.R.R. Tolkein if he hasn't read them already, and since he's played Digimon games as a kid, this very soft Agumon plush

Who would I want to get a gift from? Uhhhhh, literally anyone in the RFA from Mystic Messenger. Zen has hella merch, Jaehee has the best warm and cozy taste, Yoosung can find something cute that will keep you company, Seven will make you a freaking robot, and Jumin will probably shell out tons of money so you can take the whole month off and fly to Korea to see them.

Who would I want to give a gift to? Akemi Homura, introduction not necessary. That girl probably does not have a lot of happy Christmas memories. Just some kind of snow globe for her to pour hours into.

Oh my gosh - there's so many great options for gifting people or getting gifts. I'd personally love to hang with my Beastars faves for the holidays.

Legosi seems like he would be very thoughtful with gifting (he's pretty sentimental), so to be honest, I'd love to get something from him. I could see him gifting a hand-decorated picture frame, or coupons for tasks he'd do - that sort of thing (I'd tell him to get what he wanted knowing he'd do exactly that). I'd love to get him a good terrarium to keep his insects that he loves to watch over - since he loves insects!

Louis seems to be the type who would do the "tell me exactly what you want and I'll get it for you", but he would also favor a practical gift, too. I'd probably ask him for a really nice set of clothes - a good sweater, pair of slacks, and nice shoes. Get that high-tier expensive thing since the guy spends like 10k on a kimono for a single event. The dork. I'd *personally* love to gift him something that I know for sure would be sentimental and surprise him that way. You know, get an emotional reaction out of the guy who tries not to let people know he has feelings. So -- I'd get him a painted portrait of him and his father :P Hit right in the gut.

Haru is a little harder to nail down, but I feel like I'd ask her for gardening supplies and tips and tricks for starting a garden, since she's an expert. I'd probably get her a nice portable stepping stool (for high places, she's only 3'6"), some nice sweets, and nice set of gloves + a scarf.

in terms of what i would give these characters liam is the kind of character that really likes a challenge so i would probably give him this jigsaw puzzle from hell or throw him a couple of puzzle books? i would be happy to accept any gifts from him except anything math related please spare me sensei

for tenn, a friend of mine actually sent me these holiday themed donuts which i think would also be perfect for tenn since donuts are his favourite food LOL and the holidays are good for indulging, aren't they?? tenn strikes me as a really thoughtful gift giver but if he sang for me i'd die

seeing as how i've been on a huge ffxiv kick, i would want to spend time with the scions of the seventh dawn... i don't want to go into too much detail since endwalker is still relatively new, but i would love to just share some hot chocolate with them ;_; and maybe some scarves and hats! i've been getting into knitting recently, and they do spent a fair bit amount of time in this expansion in some very cold climates... even though i'm by no means an expert, i'm sure they'd appreciate the thought at least!!
