Hello! Something new I got into this year was coding. I started playing with CSS in January as a coping means for anxiety, but then it turned into this whole thing. Once I got really decent with CSS and gained a little support, I was encouraged to go bigger. Right now, I'm in the middle of learning JavaScript through The Odin Project and it's been a blast. So, yeah, wild ride. Also, the anxiety is way way better now lol.

I got into Colors. :V I also made a spreadsheet of goals I wanted to accomplish for the year and started using that to keep myself on track and be more productive. It's sort of worked, although a few things happened that threw me off course. I've got some bigger plans for next year, so we'll see what happens with that, I guess.

I have recently begun getting into candle-making this year, and actually plan on starting a business making and selling them, as well as wax tarts, and reed diffusers. <3

Against all advice I started watching DokiDoki Precure the other day because I needed something cheery to watch. Apparently people think it's the worst Precure season? But it's pretty to look at and it's holding my attention so far and I'm enjoying it so that's all that matters to me lmao.

Ooo I've always been a musical lover and this year I got into two new Musicals! I discovered Six, a concert-style musical about the 6 wives of King Henry the VIII.

And I got super into Hadestown. I originally had heard a version of it (I think it was the Live recording) but it didn't really vibe with me. Then a few months later I found the Broadway cast version and I've been in love ever since! I even went back to listen to the Live recording properly, still prefer the Broadway version but it's good as well :D

I've gotten into HEMA, and although the only options I have right now are solo drills and cutting practice it's been a lot of fun.

right now I've been playing a lot of Genshin Impact lol. totally f2p because I never pay for gacha but it's still fun! also I super really unfortunately am falling back into my ancient Supernatural ways because everyone on tumblr/twitter went crazy after the finale and are making me like, Feel Things about these characters again.

Something that I got into this year were podcasts! I've had an Audible account for the longest time, but I found Google Podcasts on my phone and subscribed to a couple of podcasts just to try it out. Cue to having 40+ that I cycle through-- I enjoy linguistics and history, all things Japan, D&D liveplays, and am currently trying out a few food based ones. Especially with social distancing in place, it gets kinda lonely in an empty classroom so these provide a backdrop while I do behind-the-scenes things!

Some cool new anime like Great Pretender and Akudama Drive, also games like Paradise Killer. I got back to FF7 thanks to the awesome remake, and I also got back into making my own game which I finally finished.
