Welcome to day 11 of our anniversary celebration! Aw man, it's already halfway over?

When I was growing up, summer was the season of concerts and recitals. So when I think of summer I always think of music. What type of music do you like to listen to? What are your favorite openings/endings/soundtracks in general? Do you play any instruments? If you don't play any instruments, which would you like to pick up if you could? Are you in your own band? Are you secretly a celebrity who actually loves collecting pixel cards? Let us know!

I'm all over the place when I listen to music, but my go-to is usually chillstep like Alan Walker, Crywolf, Illenium, etc. When I'm in the mood for something a bit perkier I got for some rock, and then video game/anime soundtracks. I don't think I particularly have a favorite soundtrack in general, but the entirety of the Shadow of the Colossus OST is a really great listen. I used to play the clarinet, not sure if I can anymore, and also had baby lessons in the piano. If I could I'd gladly learn more!

OH MAN... ok this is a hard question to answer, but i'm really big on music, so... let's see if i can't narrow it down a bit to a few favorites. i love singers like amy shark, the wombats, pale waves, and aaaHHH SO MANY OTHERS OK THIS IS TOO HARD. i'm a big fan of the alternative/indie sound though, lmao.

as for soundtracks, i'm always going to love Nier Automata and Journey's... very pretty stuff. i also used to know how to play the clarinet, like byakkun, but... its been like, gosh, 8 years? maybe more? NOT SINCE MIDDLE SCHOOL AND IM 24 NOW BASICALLY.

I haven't really branched out music-wise since when I was really young, so a lot of what I listen to is either game/anime soundtracks or older albums. I like bands like Metallica, Rhapsody of Fire, System of a Down, and Pendulum, while my favorite composers for games and stuff are Nobuo Uematsu and Yoko Shimomura. I'd pretty much listen to anything either of those two make.

I used to play Tuba in school, but learned a decent bit of guitar. I don't think I can play either of those or really read music anymore, but sometimes I think I'd like to go back to playing guitar stuff casually. Just a lot of effort!!

i'm a mess when it comes to music since i listen to anything at all, but it mostly depends on what i have to do. when i'm drawing - something perky and upbeat like those typical utaite covers, when i'm working - lofi chillbeats, when i'm streaming - wHATEVER WON'T GET ME COPYRIGHTED instrumentals. language-wise, i typically go for chinese, japanese, and english, but i've been dabbling a bit in french and german music. pretty into `in love with a ghost` right now, and as always....radwimps.

I do love instrumentals-- I listen to the Sirius channels with like smooth jazz and classical when I'm around the house. My mom got the new Aladdin soundtrack so I've been binging that recently. I used to play the clarinet and we had a keyboard once upon a time.

TBH I have my somewhat summer mix, but its just songs that make me think warm n soft things :B Songs include uh.. love of blue - asobius, Endless summer - BENNIE K with Blaise Plant(MONKEY MAJIK), Surprise - Bird, and Flying Soda - 猫叉Master. Honestly if its light and bubbly that is all I need.

For actual music preference though, Uh Its all over the place. Normally, I enjoy listening to Funk and disco-esque music. I really like The Pockets and The Stairsteps, but I also like to listen to RnB and Vaporewave-esque songs. I think depending on what I am doing or working on also effects the type of music I want to listen to. Also for OP/ED music B; Every YGO and JOJO OP/ED is great so there is that added factoid there.

AH... what a question... kpop is a big one for me but it's not at all the only music i listen to and i get so kldnbklesnb when people make assumptions based on me liking it!

Nowadays I mostly listen to playlists on Spotify or some weeb stuff on Youtube. I still buy CDs but I mostly listen to them in my car.

I used to play drums and sing a bit but I never got good at it. I still recorded like 20 albums so far, though.

TBH, I didn't really listen to alot of Anime music soundtracks/openings, etc till recently (ei the last 5 years recently to me). Though I have LOVED watching anime for years since I really young i never really cared about the music. Recently though, I've been listening to soundtracks from My hero academia, Bayonetta (games 1 and 2), Kill La Kill (was the first soundtrack I really listened to and loved), and I also listen to other western game soundtracks too.

but fantastic OSTs I would always rec are Revolutionary Girl Utena, Bastion, Assassin's Creed II, and Journey. and then I've always been a fan of the Wolf's Rain OST because it's pretty funky and interesting for an anime.

I'm music illiterate for the most part! I used to be in choir and such, but I never learned to read music, and still can't tell genres... but I like a lot of different tunes. i think you can find my spotify under angelysugars if youre curious lolol

Even though oneof my best friends is a composer and my fiance has his disaster band I have never played an instrument. My music taste goes from industrial, through goth rock and post punk, through coldwave and synthpop all the way to Broadway. I do pay more attention to music than lyrics but I have trouble focusing on music that doesn't have lyrics!

I'll listen to just about everything, honestly. My playlists are eclectic and weird and occasionally jarring. As for OP/EDs, I think my favorites are probably from Bleach, given that they have the most playcounts in that category. Didn't quite realize that, actually, but there's some really good ones. (Ichirin no Hana is soooo good.) I do play instruments! Not as often as I used to, but I can still pluck out a tune on basically any string instrument. I've tried a few wind instruments too, but don't have the lung capacity to play them well enough, tbh. Not in a band, but am in several (tiny) choirs! I can sing soprano, alto and almost tenor - some of the lower notes on tenor I can't get quick enough - so I get thrown into different parts depending on what's needed.

I like rock, upbeat pop, electronica, synth, vaporwave... I'll listen to anything though, honest. I prefer songs where I can hear the lyrics though (connecting with lyrics is very important to me in music), so I don't often listen to just instrumentals. I used to play the piano, but I haven't touched it in years. In fact I can see it out of the corner of my eye, looking disappointed I abandoned it. I kind of want to pick up guitar these days... Or just use my voice more, but I have a horrible singing voice haha.
