Colors Fantasy Quest - the lost game 06: Midorin's Chill Out Time

You probably thought Midorin won't give you a game at all, did you?
Well you were wrong. She was just waiting for the right moment. And that moment happens to be after the final battle has already been won. Oh well. I'm sure you're super tired after that battle, so she had to change her plan and do something very simple and relaxing. Unless that was her plan all along...

Just write us a short paragraph about which games in this year's Colors League you liked the most, what did you like about them, and what kind of games you would like to see in the future editions!
This will get you 4 random cards and most importantly the final point for your team!

Please use this form so I know who to reward!

This game closes on August 19th, noon GMT!
THIS GAME IS NOW CLOSED!

Your answer: I liked the logic games the most. I love puzzles and thinking about how to put each piece together. Another one I liked was the adventure story. I really appreciated the time that went in to creating it. Next year I think I'd like to see something like the maze game from last year which was really fun and had everyone working together to finish the maze!

Your answer: Hummm.. I really enjoyed Cartomancy! It was much less time consuming than the Egg Hunt I remember a year or two ago whew.. and still very fun and made me feel a sense of achievement as I found each of the hidden items. Holy Gifting! is another one I really enjoyed of course, 'cause I always have so much fun gifting things to people aaaaaa. For future editions, I'm really not picky, I'll be glad to see any types of games. |Dd

Your answer: I enjoyed the final game the most. Logic puzzles are fun for me, and the story that accompanied it was wacky as well. It's just the sort of shitposting that I would enjoy. I'd like a reprise of that too. I hope we don't have overly difficult games every league - there weren't any this time, which I would like to keep.

Personally I think I could improve on my own game, so if anyone has feedback for that please let me know~

also raven i love how you used the windows default background as the banner

Your answer: I like the games that involve you giving cards! Like cards for trivia, the gifting games are fun too ofc! Probably cardomancy was my favorite. I'm not a fan of logic typed games since I don't have patience to solve them lol.

HMM, maybe a card chain typed game? IDK!

Your answer: Cartomancy was really fun to do! I was kind of sleepy and misreading clues but when I solved the answers it was a lot of ohhhhhhh. The games where we had to work together as a team was great too! I liked the CYOA as well and the details inside the story though I did think it'd be even more interactive, so maybe next year?

Your answer: This is my first Colors League so I had fun playing every game! The ones I liked most are CYOA and Cartomancy c: I really like CYOA's story, and Cartomancy did make me frustrated some times, but it was fun and not that hard, and when you complete it you can go 'AH YES I'M DONE' haha..

I'd like games that are more interactive next year if that's possible~

Your answer: I love our regular Puzzles game and Picross game so I loved seeing those for Games 07 and 11. I also enjoyed the last game, the final boss. I am a big fan of clue based logic puzzles and would love to see them become a regular Colors game, so I really enjoyed that game!

Your answer: I enjoyed playing Game 9 (Cartomancy) and Game 10 (Color Your Own Adventure) the most. Both games had concepts that I was familiar with from the weekly/bi-weekly games but had their own unique twist to them that made it exciting. For Game 9, I enjoyed hunting for the cards but didn't enjoy trying to figure out where and who the items belonged to. Game 10 was something different, I was expecting something more difficult but it was surprising not at all time consuming as I thought to get through it. I would love to see Cartomancy again and maybe a harder Color Your Own Adventure game for next year's Colors League. :-D

Your answer: There were a lot of really great games put out, and I really appreciate the effort that all the mods went to to create games that were fun and fit the theme of this year's Colors League. However, I have to say that my two favorites were probably Game 9: Cartomancy, Game 10: Color Your Own Adventure, and Game 12: The Wrath of Cain. I think the reason for this is that a lot of Colors League games (both this year and in the past years that I've played) feel like normal games that are scaled up in scope/difficulty for the event.

However, the three that I named are either completely original or only appear during special events, which gives them a more exciting feel due to how rarely they appear. I think it's quite understandable that people would stick to games similar to the kind they're used to creating for regular Colors games -- gamerunning and game creation is a lot of work, and all of our mods and gamerunners already put a lot of work into making Colors fun to play. But, if I were to suggest something for the next year, it would be to see more unusual games that are very unlike the kinds of games that we normally play.

Your answer: I really enjoyed the logic game and CYOA! I would love to see something like CYOA again, but I imagine it was quite time consuming to create the game. I second the idea of seeing something like last year's maze game, I really enjoy the games that require lots of teamwork and collaboration.

Your answer: I really enjoyed the CYOA game this year-- the story was very well-thought-out and everything worked out great. I also liked the Cartomancy because it wasn't as straightforward as it looked at first glance. Lastly, I enjoyed the logic puzzle at the end-- it was fun trying to find everyone's spot in the puzzle.

For next year, I would like to see another LARGE trading game-- I liked the gifting other guilds, but maybe more of that next time.

Your answer: Like a lot of people here, I really liked Cartomancy! I don't mind some puzzle games, but I prefer when you don't have to get everything for points, like the Picross game... I get scared of messing up, LOL. Same with the logic games. I also enjoyed the puzzle game, that was fun! I'm sure the CYOA game took a lot of time too, and that was entertaining.

Your answer: I love games where I have to do some digging and searching around for answers, so Quiz Battle and Cartomancy were right up my street! Also the Choose Your Own Adventure story was great and I enjoyed it greatly. I think this year's games had excellent balance in both difficulty and the time it took to complete them and I'd love if the three games I mentioned make a return in future events.

Your answer: I liked Cartomancy and the trading/gifting games best, and that CYOA game was super cute too. Cartomacy was challenging but the clues were enough to make the search doable! And I like the trading/gifting games because, well, I like trading and gifting people haha. (Logic games are hit and miss with me, I enjoy ones like day 12's game and sudoku but also I literally can't do picross I don't know why lmao.) I also agree that it'd be fun to see more "original" games in future league events, though I definitely understand that using some event-sized normal Colors games is less time-consuming when it comes to creating events.

I love being able to help other players, and it made me feel super happy to see players get so happy to receive crayons/random cards/cards that they're collecting get randomly dropped off in their posts, and everyone being so generous towards each other!

Your answer: MY FAV IS GIFTING NOT BIAS AT ALL I really like the games that require teamwork to complete, so I'm having a blast with monster battling personally! I also enjoy puzzles (HECK YEAH PICROSS) , but it felt like there were a lot of solo puzzle/quiz games this year compared to normal and I'd like to see more games that involve interaction within/between teams to accomplish. So yeah, I loved everything, but maybe tinker with the solo - team ratio a bit next year. ^^

All the games were really enjoyable! My favorite would have to be Cartomancy. At first it was a little confusing but once you read the clues several times, it became really fun and enjoyable. The Wraith of Cain was also pretty fun but then again I like logic puzzles. I would definitely recommend those kinds of games for next year :)

Your answer: Game 9 was really challenging, but I like that in a game! It had me hunting everywhere for clues and cards...and while I got a bit of eyestrain (waiting on my new reading glasses to come in;;), it really stuck out as my favorite game. I enjoyed game 4 for similar reasons, and I liked that there was an incentive to go for harder questions. Games that really make me search for answers to trivia are my favorites. More like those would be great. :)

Your answer: I really loved the CYOA - reading through it was a lot of cracky fun, but holy colors that must have taken so much time to code and complete. Also, picrossss. I love picross puzzles so much! (The problem is finding the time to sit down and actually do them, haha. But they're super soothing and these in particular were super fun.) I actually had a fun time gifting too - most of the people that I was gifting weren't people I generally interact with, so that was fun.

Hrm. For next time... maybe some sort of card chain game, like we do with crazy colors? Or something else that involves interacting with the other guilds. Still, I was very happy with all of the games this year - I had a lot of fun! ♥

Your answer:

Who's That Necromancer really set the stage for the round! And I love puzzles like The Wrath of Cain. If you could get a grid puzzle again next time, like the one for Advent Calendar where you guessed the wrapping and recipient of each present, I'd be extremely happy. I did like quiz battle a little less because it had such a high difficulty curve. The format of Cartomancy, though, made the high difficulty curve more rewarding.

Absolutely the best part of the colors year, as promised, I am impress.
