Colors Chat #45

It's time to sit back, relax, and pour yourself an ice cold glass of... milk. All these games are so great and fun but everyone needs a chance to just unwind and talk. So welcome to Colors Chat!
Here, you will get a topic and you can talk about it all you want. Just listen to your heart and write what you feel like. For your six sentences, you'll get 5 cards. And you should always go around and talk to people, see if you can make new friends or old friends with new light on them or you know, just talk with everyone! It is a chat after all.
Today's topic:
Video games! Which games and genres are your favourites? What game consoles do you have? What was your very first video game ever? Do you still play it? Which upcoming games you're waiting for right now?
Please keep all comments civil and polite. You might disagree with someone, but please do not start a flame war. THANK YOU and enjoy your weeks!

I have all current consoles at the moment, Xbox360, Xbone, PS3, PS4, Vita, 3DS, WiiU Ect. I think honestly, out of all my bigger consols now, I play the WiiU and PS3/4 The most (though I play my 3DS daily probably.) The Xbox, while I enjoy it, almost every game I really loved on there was avaible on another console, such as Steam lol (which I do have too! Feel free to add me!
Right now, I am obviously waiting for Kingdom Hearts 3, like everyone else ever hahaha. Also REALLY want to play FF15, I bought the Type-0 on day one, just for the Demo hahah. I am also waiting for a few misc games, but nothing to die for haha, ill probably wait a while once games come out. (Though Biohazard 0 HD... that is something im dying for hard)

Glad to see other gamers out here on Colors, lol.

We have a lot of consoles--nothing from the current gen, unfortunately (gaming is expensive)--but I mostly only play on my 3DS or the PC these days. I like PC gaming because I play a lot of multiplayer games with my online pals, so it's a way for us to do something together! (We play a lot of Team Fortress 2 and Minecraft, and now that my friend finally has a computer capable of playing it, we're gonna run through Left 4 Dead again with her.)
I'm really like forward to Kingdom Hearts 3 and I'm gonna buy a PS4 for it, hopefully! I've spent a lot of money on having the consoles required to play Kingdom Hearts games... it's pretty bad. I really want a Wii U for Splatoon and Smash Bros. as well, but not as much as I want to be able to play KH3.

I love Survival games, RPGs, FPS, Action games, Strategy/Sim builders, and Fighting games. More or less in that order. :3
My top Survival games atm are probably 7 Day to Die, and H1Z1. They're the most developed, and more importantly actually have continual development. :P
I'm currently buried in Smite a lot of my extra time (PS let me know if you wanna play together, it's 100% free!!). I really can't wait for Gigantic, either! :3
Played a shitton of PlanetSide 2 in the past for FPS lovin'. Nothing says fun like epic giant battles over open world control points! Surprisingly I'm not that in to TF2 or the like... I think once it becomes match-based I lose interest for FPS games, lol.
Anyhow, yeah. Just a lot of PC gaming. Add me on Steam if you ever wanna play stuff together! I'd be happy to, and it'd be compeltely awesome to get to know people who actually have the patience for Colors better through gaming. :D

Nowadays I play almost exclusively PC games (except for when I break out my DS for Strange Journey), and I prefer indie games or puzzle games. When it comes to indie games, I definitely look for games that have stories to tell and tell them in unique and interesting ways... Beautiful design and fun mechanics are a plus too, of course! Two of my favorites are Transistor and Bastion, both by Supergiant Games.

I played for a good bit back when it started. As I am a pretty solo player in MMOs it overall wasn't for me because I am a filthy casual who cannot function without an automated dungeon finder (and I'll be honest, I had a grinding irritation that I will never get my 100% exploration star because of where my server is in PvP), but I loved the look and the combat. My asura ranger with his polar bear and axe/torch combo had a grand time exploring everything. Excelsior!
I have Transistor calling to me from Steam. Looks so lovely!

(Also, just to let you know, the 100% exploration achievement has been changed so that PVP areas are no longer required! Which is a big relief for me because I'm not a fan of PVP.)
And I love Transistor a lot so I can only encourage you to give it a try soon! :D

Omg why did you tell me that!
Edit: pressed send to soon!
Anyway! I might just go back and do some GW2ing anyway, it's been so long I wouldn't mind doing a tourist run, at least, to see everything that's happened.

And I just played Transistor for the first time a few weeks ago and oh god I haven't been this in love since Bastion and Journey happened <3

Nintendo games are my favorite. I'm not very good at video games in general, so I enjoy things that are fun, and sometimes hard, but not hair-pullingly so. My 3DS is definitely my favorite, because of how easy it is to play. Right now, I'm looking forward to Yoshi's Wooly World and Rare Revival!

Also I played the Mass Effect trilogy for the first time in 2013 (so after the ME3 furor passed) and boy did that give me the feels. And got Bioware a bunch of my $$ since I'm not the owner of four N7 hoodies/jackets, one SR2 hat, a few PoP figures and two Normandy models. MaleShep/Kaidan forever <3
In addition I enjoy MMOs, played WoW for about 8 years, moved on to FFXIV though I unfortunately can't play it seriously atm, it owns my heart, and WoW owns my MMO nostalgia (though funnily FFXI was the game that introduced the MMO concept to me).
These days my 3DS is gaming central since PC time is at a premium. Still banging away at Pokemon constantly (failing at nuzlockes), also Animal Crossing, and dabbling in Etrian Odyssey and discovered how great Fire Emblem was with Awakening.
Waiting for Animal Crossing Happy Home Academy, the new Etrian II remake, and Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon :D
EDIT: Hot damn I forgot about Minecraft! I go on binges, it's awesome.

Another series I'm really into is Shin Megami Tensei. SMT2, Nocturne, and Strange Journey are my absolute favorites in that series. I've recently gotten into Etrian Odyssey as well! I stared with Untold but I'm slowly working my way through the fourth game right now.
Pokemon is a given, I think? Been playing it since I picked up Emerald years ago.
Console-wise, right now our PS3, my 3DS, and my phone are the ones getting the most love from me. Before I got a 3DS it was my PSP ¯\_( ᐛ )_/¯
On the PC I pretty much just play Minecraft and I'm trying to play more RPG Maker games, though I'm obsessed with 7th Stand User, a fangame for Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, right now. I've always wanted to play a MMO at length but I just don't really ever seem to be able to stick around for long? Plus I use a mac so there aren't many options |D I did play Rainbow Saga for many months before flash just stopped refusing to work so I've since dropped it.
Edit: Also Osu. I play Osu on my laptop. Catch the Beat only though since I don't have a mouse.
On my phone I usually play puzzle games, but recently I got into the Assassination Classroom mobile game and other "card games" like that - Devil Maker Tokyo, Rage of Bahamut (the shittiest thing I've ever played but ᐛ ), Elves Realm, etc. I also really enjoy games like Monster Legends but that's the only one I really play regularly.
(Also: hidden object games from Big Fish Games. Aw yeah.)

Currently I own a PS2 and a Nintendo 3DS! Which isn't much, sob. And so out of date. But I am totally going to save up to get myself a WiiU and a PS3/4 soon! Gaming is such an expensive hobby :(
My first video game ever was Kirby's Dreamland for the Gameboy, which I unfortunately don't have. But I have fond memories of it!
I can't think of any upcoming games that I'm really interested in right now, but I'm sure if I pondered on it I would think of something, haha.

My first video game ever was DUCK HUNT and that only because I managed to win a NES off a school raffle. I didn't have any other games because I wasn't allowed any and my dad wouldn't buy any and my step-mom took the NES and sold it without my permission when I was out lol (I never saw the money either. BITTER YEARS LATER!!). My first video game other than that was Vagrant Story- I saw its advertisements in an anime mag and really wanted it, and the ps2 was about to come out, so I saved up money for a ps2 and asked for VS for christmas from my mom. It remains my favorite to this day. I usually like classic j-rpgs and similar things; I currently own ps2, ps3, xbox, wii, wii-u, and various handhelds. Phew...

My very first video game was most likely Super Mario Bros for NES. I also really loved Duck Tales and Chip and Dale the Rescue Rangers games. Pokemon is the oldest series I still play frequently, although I still buy new Mario games now and then and also got the Duck Tales remake.
Even though I consider myself a Nintendo person, I own/have owned PS 1, 2 and 3 and also PSP and Vita, mostly thanks to FF and KH and more recently Danganronpa and Corpse Party. Never touched the Microsoft consoles, there wasn't really games for it I would have been interested in. I'm also not playing with PC much. Just Sims games (when my computer can handle them) and League of Legends. My all time most used console has to be Nintendo DS family thanks to Pokemon and Ace Attorney.

Ironically, my first "real" game - and you get I still play it - was neither story-heavy nor a JRPG. It was Kirby's Dream Course. I'm... really bad at it now, actually. XD; Kirby will always hold a special place in my heart.
Speaking of great games with story I CAN'T WAIT FOR POKEMON SUPER MYSTERY DUNGEON AHHHHHHHHH
