Hello, Coloristas! Today's anniversary post is another discussion, and today's topic is the decks that can never be!

Are there decks you really want to collect or donate, but can't because they're outside of the Colors scope of Eastern animation/comics/games? Or maybe they'd make a legit deck but there are only 19 pictures of the character you had in mind in all of existence? Maybe there's just nothing floating around on the internet and the only copies in the world of that manga are sitting in your basement and you don't have a scanner?

Tell us your tales of woe (or tell us your lack of woes, if everything you want is perfectly donatable)! For that, you'll receive fivetastic17 and two choice character cards of opposite deck colors.

That is to say, you could go with -
- a red card and a green card
- an orange card and a blue card
- a yellow card and a purple card
- a brown card and a gray card, because we're just going to pretend leftovers are actually opposites ssssshhh.

Like all anniversary games, this will close on July 1st at noon GMT!

I'm not too terribly wanting of decks that cannot be, considering how Into Japanese media I am haha... but Avatar-universe decks would be sweet, I think! Not something I'd collect per se, but I feel like a lot of people would enjoy that! As for decks that can't happen because of lack of enough material on the internet... cries about Puu only ever being in the Mascots deck

The other decks I'd like are a Lily deck from Vocaloid who doesn't have that much official art to begin with. And then there's stuff from Eastern media, such as Teen Titans, Avatar/Korra, etc etc.

Ironically, I was just thinking earlier today about how cool it would be to have character decks for Antiquarian Bookshop Biblia's Case Files (to use the translated name). It's a great mystery series where each story is based on a book and the main characters are a brilliant young woman with Holmesian abilities to "read" books who runs the shop, and a youngish man who is unable to read books at all and who acts as her Watson.

...Hm. I think that the decks of characters/series I'd like to see are probably all possible - Chibisan Date comes to mind, or at least I think it's something I can at least wrangle out enough images of for donations of all the characters. (RIP chibisan, Himaruya why.) Steven Universe looks like it has very colourful characters and designs, though! I think decks of them would look nice if they were within the scope of Colors. (I have actually yet to watch SU.)

Well, maybe not never, but for now Sticks from Sonic has yet to show up in any of the Eastern-produced media, so that's kind of a bummer.

I've been playing a lot of anime-inspired games lately and thinking "oh, I should donate these to colors!" and then realizing they're actually western... I'd really love to collect Skullgirls decks in particular! Also, there's quite a few Cinderella Girls characters I keep thinking about donating but I don't know if there's enough official art. I suppose it doesn't matter too much yet, since I haven't even donated the ones with enough art yet (I want to get all my Pretty Rhythms in first!)

I wanted a deck of Beyond Flamenco from Samurai Flamenco so I could double deck him and Masayoshi.... Masayoshi selfcest... but he doesn't appear for long enough, it's very sad. ): Well, I've wanted to donate a deck for Mukuro from DR for literally years because I love her so much, so at least she has a deck now, even if I didn't get to donate it. \o/

Honestly though, that'd be about it, lol. I have a scanner so if I REALLY were inclined I could totally scan in quite a few manga I've got. Buwahaha. (PS - this has about a snowball's chance btw, since the stuff I like to read is already online, cough.)

A lot of decks I crave are characters whose existences are spoilers-- looking at a certain Dangan Ronpa Genocider in particular, sob Q__Q I also want a Metis deck to match Aegis' but there's like three official art and some spites and no Answer manga so asdflkjh

i don't really wish for decks from sources outside colors's scope, but i frequently wish there was more art of some characters :( just yesterday i spent a few hours trying to find images of tiki from fire emblem, and even though she's been in five games at this point, i barely managed to find 30. and they're not even good quality... i'll still try to donate them, but i fully expect to hear 'so uh that deck ain't happening'.

if only the fe1 mangaka didn't drop the series before she appeared!! shakes fists.

um, to make it less about me airing my frustrations, i agree with kaede in that i think steven universe decks would look very pretty! the show has very pronounced colours. but other than that i very rarely watch western cartoons so i don't feel very strongly about wanting them in colors.

i'll help myself to elocution04 (red) and stonefree20 (blue) wow i misread these pairs completely, make that lovey-dovey 01 (green)!

There are so many Fire Emblems I want...though at least FE4 has a lot of manga, and Jugdral is my jam so if I'd just get unlazy that would help. FE5s tho. :(

I refer, of course, to creating a deck for Ooyodo, the person in my default icon from Kantai Collection. Despite being the fleet's main administrator, she's given very little screentime in the anime and is virtually non-existent in the official manga, so capping 30 quality images is pretty much nigh impossible :'D

A second season of Kantai Collection has been ordered though, so hopefully we'll see more of her; then I'll finally be able to create the seacretary deck xD

Some of the Show By Rock!! characters are never going to get decks because there's just not enough images in the game to support characters who haven't shown up in the anime yet, but that's okay! I can just hope for a special deck one day.

Gonna second that a lot of Western animation would make for great decks--RWBY, Avatar, Steven Universe, etc. I can imagine the SU ones even now, aha.

I'd really love tokusatsu cards as well, but given that it's live action Eastern media... I guess there's always the Kamen Rider Spirits manga though.

I'd love some tokusatsu decks, but it's live-action so it definitely falls outside the scope of the tcg... I've been thinking of donating some Kamen Rider manga decks though, so there is hope yet. Otherwise pretty much everything I'm into could reasonably count I think?

This is Valmont from Jackie Chan Adventures and he is my husbando. I wish I could actually collect his deck because I would do it 50 times. Stupid friggin being from a Western cartoon show.

As for characters who just don't have enough official art, I'd originally planned to donate a deck for everyone from Lychee Light Club, but it's a short manga and very few of them had enough good pics. I'm still sad that I can't have a deck of Kaneda, who is my child. I also wanted to donate Dialo and Chelan from The Gray Garden, but they only have about 6 sprites and a handful of official art each. Meanwhile, I had no problem finding 30 pics for Satanick, and he's not even actually in the game. :P

Full Lychee Light Club decks would be incredible. Also, high five re: Kaneda. He is my child, too. ;_; Do you think if we included the prequel manga we'd have enough images? I can't exactly remember if all of club members are accounted for there.

I really would love to collect decks from Cyber Six. The animation was made in Japan, but its based off an Argentinian comic, so I have never thought that It would be approved for a donation. But I absolutly would love to mass collect every deck from that series. (Maybe I can ask...)

I also wouldn't mind a few other Decks, such as characters from the English Rockman comics, or characters from the English Sonic Comics. orz Or any Japanese video game series done by a non japanese company (half of the Silent Hill games, DMC Devil May Cry.) But... There are so many japanese series out there, Its alright that they wouldn't be included.

I think we've had some characters from anime based on foreign properties, as long as the deck only uses images from their anime incarnation! Raven or Aru probably remembers better than me, but I think it'd be worth asking.

If I had to pick something, I'd love Colors-style decks for a few western video games - Bioshock Infinite and Child of Light in particular - but there are so many decks to collect as is, and so many of the decks I want are donateable/already exist, that it's hard to feel like not being able to donate from these sources is a setback.

I would love a Jumi specific Legend of Mana deck, but I really don't think there are enough pictures for that. Other than that, there are some English games I would collect decks for...Fallout being the big one.

The bonus characters from Soul Calibur 4 all have such nice designs (especially Ashlotte!) and would look lovely in my SC mass deck, but they have like...around 5 official images each, maybe even less. Seconding RWBY, tokusatsu and Steven Universe decks, too. I'd love to collect western video game decks as well, like Mass Effect or Fallout but alas, I'm not ready to venture out of Colors yet.

As for decks that just don't have enough material ... I would love character decks of the main characters in Jet Set Radio (and JSRF) and Legend of Mana (and other Mana series) and the Bloody Roar series, but alas, there aren't enough images for any of them ;A; I'm glad we have special decks for them, though!
