COLORS WORLD CUP, GAME 1: PASS IT ON!

Welcome to the first round of the Colors World Cup! Today's event is about the fundamentals. If you want to score a goal, you're going to have to be ready to pass to your teammates, of course...and this being a TCG, of course we ought to practice passing cards instead of balls, right?



This event works similarly - but not identically - to our regular Acrostic Trading Post game. You will be trading cards that fit certain parameters to spell out a word with your teammates!

How it works:
- Each team has its own unique five-letter word to spell.
- You will need a trade for each letter, and each trade must be with a different team member: if Bob trades Aerith for his first letter, then he can't trade her again for any of the others. He'll have to move on to someone new.
- To count a trade for a certain letter, one of the cards must start with the letter you're trying to earn: if you trade asobot15 for cain03, that trade could count for either an A or a C!
- It has to be a card that makes your letter; unlike Acrostics, player names do not count as letters in this game.

But it's a little more complicated than that: while either card can be your letter, the card you trade away (whether it's used as your letter or not) must fall within a certain number range, depending on your position on your team:

Goalkeeper: 1-5
Defender: 6-10
Midfielder: 11-15
Striker: 16-20

Both team members must fulfill this condition for a trade to count in this game. If Bob is the goalkeeper and Aerith is a defender, Bob could trade asobot04 and Aerith could trade cain09 for their A, or for their C (or each could use it for a different letter) - but Aerith can't trade cain03, for example!

Each successful pass (trade) will earn you two random cards; completing all five to finish the word will get you a goal for your team and a random crayon! Remember, you must give me your team name to get that goal!

A couple of your trades look to have missed that while either card is fine for the letter, both cards being should fall into the number range up there. o/ I looked for other cards in the trade that would fit instead of the ones listed (and if I overlooked one feel free to kick me!), but since Dany's on the roster as a defender, the E card there would need to be 06-10, and Anrui's a midfielder, so the D would need to be 11-15. Does that make sense? I apologize if it sounds a little convoluted, sometimes wording things is the death of me. /o\

For the letter to count, the card does need to start with it, not just contain it! That rules out a couple of the trades you linked, although the one with Anrui could move over to take the E. Both players also need to match the number range for their position - you're mostly fine here; I was looking at all the cards in the trade with Harukami to see if I could spot a number/letter combo that still fits, but I'm not finding one, unfortunately.

To use a card for a letter, it does need to start with that letter, not just contain it - you've still got four out of five here though, as that trade with Harukami does have other cards that would work for either I or E, whichever suits you better to use it for. Do you have another that works for either of those that you can bring back? o/
