Here, you will get a topic and you can talk about it all you want. Just listen to your heart and write what you feel like. For your six sentences, you'll get 5 cards. Your favorite gifs and reaction images, show them to everyone. Where did you get them from? What's the context, is it as funny as the image itself? Are you familiar with the source material for your favorite gif? Be warned that this post can get image heavy!

I don't carry around .gifs, I think that's weird. So I'll talk about plurk emotes instead.



This is [concerned_hamtaro]. I'm kind of well-known for him in my circle of friends because he's a great, multi-use reaction image. Are you doing something weird? He's judging you! Did you get hurt? He's worried! Am I trying to make a decision? Better use this emote! ... Mostly he's judging you, though, in a kind of passive-aggressive way. Oh, [concerned_hamtaro], I love you.



[go_away_pikachu], [dog], [panda_yay], and [annie_pepperspray] are also great, too. The ideal plurk emote (which is really just an uploaded reaction .gif) should be funny and strange, I think...! It's funny if you know the context, but it shouldn't be necessary.

I feel like Plurk emotes are a resource I do not take advantage of enough... At all actually. I'd like to start using them more but I'm not really sure where to collect them or what the etiquette is concerning them.

Everyone has really cute and funny ones though! Yours too, that Hamtaro one is really cute and now that you mention it it does seem really versatile. I guess those ones are the best since they take up less space instead of needing like five different ones.

Mostly the ones I like are from anime I already love, and they make me laugh. E.g. the Princess Princess one represents my favourite moment in the whole series, when Tooru and Yuujirou are trying to keep a straight face and just burst out laughing at Mikoto. It just never stops being funny :O And the gif reminds me of that.

May I just say that the Tenimyu ones are funny? And that I actually recognized the first one, which makes it even funnier for me. (Probably was the only part of Tenimyu I watched. Well, both the first and second cast.) Though I would love to know where the second one is from. And I love you for including tenimyu in this.

Beyond anime and manga, I'm a huge Super Sentai fan. My favorite series is Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger and I have quite a bit of gifs from there. A lot of them are super versatile, like...

This GIF is only really funny in a "people are still advertising their browser games this way?" sense, but it's the most relevant GIF I could find for what I'm about to talk about.



Viewing GIFS is an adventure for me because I have hearing-motion synesthesia. What this means is, a lot of GIFs will make me involuntarily "hear" things when I view them. In the case of this GIF, I hear three "sounds" - a film trailer-esque "boom" when the text is cut away, something that sounds like creaking floorboards at the breast movement and a heartbeat sound at the pulsing "PLAY NOW". If I cover one of these elements with my hand, I will not hear the associated sound.

Now, imagine browsing through a day's worth of posts on a Tumblr Dashboard with this condition.

This is one of my favorite scenes in the Kokoro Connect series, and to be honest, and I have a lot of feelings towards this series, honestly.



Another Kokoro Connect one, though this is one is pretty much Inaba not taking your shit and I love that she's using that huge-ass fan. I know there's a proper name for it, but I can't seem to remember what it is off the top of my head.

I also have plenty of plurk emotes that I tend to use quite often.

COLORS CHAT #14

The only gifs I use are ones that I look up on the fly. I mostly use them for RP accounts--things like ic inboxes or occasionally navigation posts in order to add a little flavor to them. I used to have a huge collection, but since I moved it to my external hard drive I've more or less lost interest in digging them back up.

I do use a lot of custom emotes on plurk, however! I mostly use Pusheen or other cat related gifs, with the occasional fandom emote thrown in for flavor and to fill the gaps. They're cute and fun to look at. They can be a nice way to cheer someone up as well; sometimes, getting a cute gif of kittens rolling around with each other or something to that effect can make a person smile when they're having a bad day. It's the same logic that would apply to youtube videos and memes.

I'm not sure that I could choose any favorites, but I have my collection of Pusheen plurk emotes here! I think they're all really cute.

okay I LOVE reaction images. i'm not that much of a reaction gif guy (i prefer static images), but i do have a few really good ones laying about.


like this one - there are some good "time to stop posting" pics out there, but this one i think works best. (also, its pretty ridiculous, which is always a plus for me.)


however, because this is an anime tcg, i think this one is also warranted. kyoko, my child, you are a terrible and lovely dancer for those moments you want to dance like a dork.

I honestly just like FPoBA reaction gifs and images usually, but because I tend to use them on a lot of my English speaking friends. I dont really have or use many reaction gifs though, I'm not that original...

but seriously, idk i just don't use them. I dont like uploading images up on my site either just to link them hahaha so if I do have one, I usually use a quick gyazo screenshot, so I don't usually use gifs (that and they wont work on alot of places i would use said images, such as facebook, twitter, and my phone.)

I don't use reaction gifs. I don't use reaction images. (Anyone who's ever had a comment spam thingy with me can attest to that.) It really comes down to, "I'm too lazy to find images that suit what I'm talking about." Instead of that, I tend to use emoticons, and even that is rare unless I'm doing quick chats (like the gmail one or Skype.)
