DAY 11: Food!

I come from a family of foodies, so this topic is rather near and dear to me. I want to hear about food! Whether it's the holiday-specific special stuff you always have this time of year, or just something that isn't for the ~holidays~ but that you always like to eat in December (i.e. "it's finally perfect soup weather"), tell me what you look forward to eating all year! (Recipe sharing not required, but if anyone feels inclined to do so, I know I for one will be taking notes!)

OK, so December is massive for most of you but ... where I live ... it's not that big so I can't say there's any kind of food we only have in December that I'm reaaaaally craving. I can tell you a dish I crave all year round since I can't buy it from here.

It's called Asam Laksa and it's not for everyone. It's got mashed tuna meat in the soup and it has a pretty strong taste. But oh dear lord, just typing about it is making my mouth water.
