Anniversary Day 5

  Small Fandoms

Talk to me about those series you love that no one else seems to have heard of! You track the tumblr tag but it only updates once a month at best; you prowl Ao3 but you've read all the fics a dozen times over. Tell me about those rare and unappreciated series you wish more people were a fan of—maybe someone here will give one a try!

If you aren't a fan of any lesser-known series or series with small fandoms, tell me why they don't appeal to you. Do you prefer to have a large selection of fan-produced media to peruse, or do you just enjoy sharing the love with many other fans? Let us know!

Participating in today's conversation will earn you 2 random specials and Celebration05. This post will remain open until June 30th.

The Sleepy Residents of Birdcage Manor.

Admittedly, I failed to keep up with the series after volume one, but it was really cute and interesting -- and if it caught my attention despite being slice-of-life, it really does say something good about the series. I really need to get back to it!

Kizuna (16) is a kind of girl who always ends up in trouble, and probably a fight while at it. Along with some other girls with too much free time on their hands, she plays a game where they all try to get older men sponsor things for them without actually getting involved with them. After she finally quits, she's asked to become a model for a painter who lives in the same apartment building, Yuusei.

Nooot saying anything else, because you should check it out yourselves! Rest assured, the characters are really likable so it's worth giving it a shot.

Indeed. Maybe I'm not too lucky with them! Another good one I know, though, is Honey & Clover, but that's a whole different story.

Thank you!
