Colors Galactic Playground - Event 3

While we're all gearing up for Colors League, couldn't we use a good epic space soundtrack to make the wait seem a little shorter...?


The gist of the third event is simple: give me your EPIC SPACE SOUNDTRACK, receive cards! It's that easy.

Your task:
1) Link from one to three songs you think would be great music for the games.
2) Optionally, explain why you chose them - you're not getting judged on reasons, so this could be anything from "the Star Trek theme always makes me think of space, deep in my kokoro" to "Space Olympics has lyrics about COMPETING IN SPACE" to "I really like Funkytown and it's important for any time people are having fun."
3) ????
4) PROFIT. Each song is worth two cards, and explaining your choice (one sentence is all you need) is another two cards each. If you turn in and explain the max of three songs, you'll thus get twelve cards total - and if you do that, you'll also get a bonus crayon for going the extra mile!

1. I'm putting Ride of the Valkyries first on this list because every event needs an epic roll out, fly, and kick ass song. Can't you imagine all the teams mobilizing to this at once and charging into the games?
2. Supermassive Black Hole was good enough for Twilight, so it's good enough for us. Also: The deep and unimaginable reaches of space are all contained in this catchy, popular song, despite the fact that it has absolutely literally nothing to do with space.
3. Rainbow Road Theme 64 is the song for everyone who wants to be super competitive this League. We're rainbow, we're all traveling in some indefinite dark space, we're all going to fall off the edge of the road at least 5000 times. Mario Kart makes friendships die, but let's all remember to love each other while we play!

oh god, the first time I ever played the original Super Mario Kart, first race, my friend was like "close your eyes and I'll pick a track!" She picked Rainbow Road.
