COLORS CHAT #10

Slightly delayed because i was focused on getting the release out

It's time to sit back, relax, and pour yourself and ice cold glass of... milk. All these games are so great and fun but everyone needs a chance to just unwind and talk. So welcome to Colors Chat!

Here, you will get a topic and you can talk about it all you want. For cards, however, your initial post will need to be six sentences. Just listen to your heart and write what you feel like. For your six sentences, you'll get 5 cards. And you should always go around and talk to people, see if you can make new friends or old friends with new light on them or you know, just talk with everyone! It is a chat after all.

Today's topic:
Out of all the decks Colors has, which ones are your favorites? Would you collect a deck from a series you aren't into just because you like how it looks? Did you get into any new canons because you liked a deck from it?

To encourage disussions between players, there's a bonus - for every conversation that is at least 5 comments long with at least 5 sentences each, all participants will receive two random cards. This is not limited, so talk to as many people as you wish!

Please keep all comments civil and polite. You might disagree with someone, but please do not start a flame war. THANK YOU and enjoy your weeks!

This round closes on Sunday, March 23rd! CLOSED NOW!

Oh my gosh, you are the second person after the TCG closed that's asked me about Twist Serve restarting. Nostalgia and happiness all rolled up into one, haha! Kuro, Saz and I were actually trying to restart it (almost two years ago, wow) but we couldn't get enough interest and eventually dropped the project 'OTL It was one of the things that really got me into Prince of Tennis too-- before that, I didn't really know anyone else to talk about the series with, haha. Which is why I love Colors: all the series! \o/ Plus the decks here really live up to the name of Colors, so many beautiful cards and card posts ;D

Best <3

Haha that's almost creepy! Saz and I went to school together, and it was her who introduced me to both the anime and Twist Serve! We used to watch it at her flat :) I would honestly have loved to see it get restarted, and it was only beginning of Feb, right before I joined Colors that I was looking at it. There was an old post asking for mod volunteers to help restart it but I had no clue how to do Mod things like deck making and banners and stuff :P but was desperate to rejoin it! Good times xD

Small world! xD I think a large part of the failed revamp was that none of us had a real good handle with coding/running TCGs in general. What was your player name on LJ, or was it the same? I'm going through all the old posts and broken links, broken hearts everywhere x'D also the mod account got deleted, /sobs everywhere

Ahh so sad! Would be nice to re-do it again, but like you said, there isn't as much interest. I can never find anyone who likes or even knows Tenipuri now :/ I told my friend who was an anime fan and he was just like "Ahh, you like classic/old school anime." It made me sad :( No love for it anymore.

I don't actually remember my username on there, I tried to recover the account but LJ was having none of it, which is a shame. It was such a long time ago :/ I told myself if it ever got restarted I would create a new account, but the site was just abandoned, very sad :/ As I said, PoT is one of the few anime series I go crazy for (I'm in the middle of re-watching it at the moment!) and so a lot of my decks on here are from that, but there were just so many on Twist Serve, it was brilliant.

I always wanted to volunteer to help get it going again, since I'm now (in my opinion) super speedy at my own coding for my Dreamwidth account, but I'd never had any Mod experience so just kept my mouth shut, and it all just kind of disappeared haha >.< So sad! </3

Whenever people list Tenipuri as something they like, I get so excited, haha, but it's never something they're super super into currently xD;; Apparently 2007 was a great time for the fandom because that's when I see a lot of activity from, but I only got into the series a couple year ago (around the birth of TwistServe, actually!) so I missed that period. I'm so sad it's considered an old school anime when technically it's still going, what with the continuation series, Tenimyu, character songs, all the merchandise.....

Plus, the only people who I know who really love Tenipuri I met through Tenipuri RPs, so I've pretty much latched onto this dying breed of fans, haha 'OTL

I think when we were planning to revamp, I said I was good with writing out mod posts and generally keeping everything in order, answering questions, etc, but I had no idea about coding and and making the actual pages and stuff to keep everything organized, so I had the opposite problem! If there were more members, we probably would have had a team of mods like we do here; could've used your coding skills ;D

I know, it's so difficult to find people who still love it. It's like a past tense thing for them... I still cuddle my Fuji plush doll at night haha! It's one of the only anime series that I've never gotten bored of, or lost interest in, and now that I'm rewatching it, I'm loving characters I wasn't so into before. I swear when I used to watch it, I was all about Perfect Pair, now I'm squealing over Golden and Ah-Un pair haha >.< It's nice to find someone who still loves it though, and like you said, it's really rare to find people that are still enthusiastic about it!

Argh, I hate thinking that I came back too late. It's such a shame to see something like that go down when people were so into it, and it was nice to have a community of people that I know loved it as much as I do. HTML coding isn't so bad for me, and I prefer doing all of that myself rather than use a host site for my page. I always liked the idea of posting games, too, but the arty bit, like deck editing and photoshop stuff, always eluded me. Tech stuff yay, artist stuff, not so much xD So I didn't get in touch or anything, and thought I'd wait for someone else to jump in and resurrect it, but I should have offered to help, really.

I'm really glad I found Colors, actually... After I realised everyone who had been working on Twist Serve had given up, I was disappointed, and just browsed for another game like it, and came across Colors in the process :) I spend so much time on here now haha!
