My family's pretty superstitious! My mother doesn't like it when I put white in my hair, because white's associated with death. Same with overly white make-up. We line up our shoes along the wall perpendicularly because otherwise we'd bring in bad luck, and we knock on wood when discussing negative topics. I'm not too superstitious myself, but habits are habits and tradition is tradition. I've always thought that superstitions were something that people use to make sense of the chaotic nature of the world, and that it's something that slowly accumulates over time. There ought to be small things that you believe in as you mature, if only because you've experienced so much that the only way to make sense of it all is to attribute it to causation, rather than correlation or coincidence.
... but rofl I'm rambling. TL;DR I think the older I get, the more likely I am to attribute events to causation rather than coincidences. :'D But as of right now I'm not too superstitious...!!
