Day 10: Mascot Characters!

Already the 10 day mark in the calendar! For today's day, which is... kind of late- /sobs/ -I'd like to hear about what kind of mascot characters you like! What sort of personality do you like in them? How about appearances? Favorite? Least favorite? Do you like them extra cute? Or how about overly sinister? Just generally give your opinion on them and let us know how you feel about these furry characters! ( unless of course they aren't furry. Haha. )

For answering this question you will receive 3 random new release cards! These will all be from the December release! You have until December 31st to get your answer in!

I really like cute loli characters as mascots, that alone is usually enough to get me into something haha. A prety good example would be yotsuba.

I'm generally not too big on mascot characters?? Generally if there's a non-humanoid character that I like they aren't exactly a mascot character, like I love Repede from Tales of Vesperia, but he's not really thew mascot. He just happens to be a dog. With a pipe.

But if I had to pick one, I'd probably pick Monobear hahaha.

I like them, they're cute and can be super helpful. My favorites are ones with a little spunk and personality like Kero from Cardcaptor Sakura, he's always been what I think of first when I picture mascot characters.

My favorite mascot is Kyuubey. Boom.

Also moogles because they're the bomb. That's about all I can think of? AND JACK FROST.

I don't really see what the point of them is to be honest. The one that comes to mind now if Kon from Bleach and I always found him super annoying. I guess they are there to make for easy toys and other merch, but to me they are super pointless.

I like cute and helpful maskots. Like Kakashis dogs in Naruto or Tsunades pig.

one of my favourite mascots is Penpen the beer drining penguin from Evangelion ^^

Mascots are pretty hit or miss for me! Sometimes I adore them and other times I don't even want to see them KILL IT WITH FIRE.

But recently, a pair of mascots I've really come to love are Candy and Pop from Smile Precure because of how very non-mascot they feel like. They're just Actual Characters like the rest of the girls and also they are the cutest siblings, uguu.

I never really think about what kind of mascots I like, but I guess sometimes those kind of characters resonate with me! For example Kuro from Ao no Exorcist has a really good relationship with Rin and he's like a little kid and that's really cute!! I also love Chopper because he's really funny and he's super important to the crew. One of the first characters like this that I really liked was Fool from Kaleido Star because the jokes with him were repetitive and sometimes weird but they still never got old to me haha.

Ah... I generally find them annoying. I'm oddly fond of Coda from Tales of Innocence though! I guess I don't mind Kyubei from Madoka either. Oh, and looking down Pikachu probably counts and it's really hard to find him annoying... Really, non-talking mascots tend to be more endearing than the talking variety, but every now and again talking mascots are tolerable. Most of them are annoying as sin though.

i'm not generally a huge fan of mascot characters - i don't dislike them, but there are none that come to mind specifically. i do, however, absolutely love pokemon. i've played and beat every single gen (including the remakes) and it's something that's just made me so happy for about ten years now. my favorite types are grass and fairy!
