GUESS THE COLOR 138

If you didn't catch it in the schedule already, Guess the Color will be coming back weekly, posted on Mondays! It works the same way, despite the slight facelift: I post grayscale image. I point out specific element. You tell me what color it is. You win cards. You do touchdown dance. The cycle continues.

The Shinsengumi are on a door-to-door manhunt, but their wanted posters are all in black and white! Please help them supply some more details to the citizens so they can fulfill their duties.

And this week's suspect...

SWEET JESUS WHAT IS THAT THING AND WHY'S IT COMING RIGHT FOR US. Even in my TCG?

Tell me what color that hideous menacing blob is most commonly associated with (though if you give me one of the other colors it's been known to appear in instead, I'll still give you partial credit) and earn three cards. And in the continuing trend of throwing in bonuses to celebrate the game's return, if you can tell me what its name stands for, you can earn up to two bonus cards for that - the acronym is different between the English and Japanese versions, so each is good for one card!

This round closes on Monday, October 7th.

This thing is orange! (Though a magazine scan I found of this image refers to its "yellow silhouette" but even though I almost put that my eyes are saying orange).

It's a type of FOE which stands for Formido Oppugnatura Exsequens in the English release, and Field On Enemy in the Japanese release.

Yellow (reference I found)

Not sure if this is correct, but the varying acronym I've found seems to be the general name for the game's enemies: FOE. Field on Enemy in Japan; Formido Oppugnatura Exsequens in English releases.

EVEN IN YOUR TRADING CARDS, F.O.E.!

But no seriously, that thing is a (usually) orange ball of DEATH.

(JP: Field-On Enemy, EN: Formido Oppugnatura Exsequens*, Fandom: F#@$ing Overpowered Enemy)

(*"Foedus Obrepit Errabundus" actually turns out to be an alternate title for a music track.)

Orange, I believe. (Will we generally need to include the series? Because it's Etrian Odyssey, if so.) And the acronyms stand for Formido Oppugnatura Exsequens or Field On Enemy.
