It's day 8 already! I hope you're all having fun!

Today's topic is gaming platforms! Since video game series are an important part of our TCG, we cannot forget about them during the anniversary. So, what do you play them at? PC, stationary consoles, handhelds? Which ones? What are your opinions on the new generation of consoles: PS4, Wii U, Xbox One - are you planning to buy any of them? If you don't play any games and are just here for the anime series say that as well!

I usually play either Playstation 3 or my 3DS. I prefer the PS3 though. I'm a diehard Playstation!girl. So yes, I will most definitely be getting the PS4 (possibly Wii U...because damn them for putting Bayonetta 2 as Wii U only!!!) Never Xbox. Never >.>

Gotta say. Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts series are my favorites. So excited for FFXV and KH3(finally!)

I mostly just play PC games, because consoles are so expensive. >: I've got a PS2 and a Game Boy Color, and I've only used the PS2 for Final Fantasy and the Game Boy Color for Pokemon games... I've got waaaaay too many games on Steam, though. Half of which I haven't even gotten around to playing.

100% avid Nintendo kid here, with a little bit of Sony love tossed in for extra flavor. I've always been a big fan of handhelds, and I always found my favorites on Nintendo systems, so I kind of never branched out much beyond them. In terms of console gaming though, I found better games on the PS2 way back when I had access to one. I currently own a DSlite, with plans to pick up a 3DS and a Wii of my own (so I stop kidnapping my roomie's) when I manage to scrape together enough for them. THAT SAID, the newest generation of consoles don't really thrill me. I only JUST became interested in the WiiU with the promise of a new Smash Bros. game, but I'll probably get the 3DS version before I go out buying a WiiU.

And after my recent fight with Win8 compatibility on a laptop in combination with the spectacular failure of Xbox One, I can safely say I'm probably never willingly giving Microsoft any money ever again if I can help it. Yes, even with their backtrack early yesterday.

Gaming platforms. I'm a gamer, so…! I play console games, I play handhelds, I play on the computer. Handhelds are probably my favorite, in some ways, because they're just easy to play anywhere. You don't have to plunk yourself somewhere special just to play them. But for all that, there's something immersive and wonderful about playing games on a full-sized screen, and I love that experience of immersion as well.

My opinion of the new consoles is pretty much "lol." Definitely not getting the new Xbox, and aside from that… Well, I never get new consoles anyway! But the PS4 does seem like it's going to have some games that I'd be very interested in, so maybe in a few years I'll look at it again. For now, I'm pretty happy with my current (old) collection.

Oh god I'm not going to even list all of the consoles I own. I'll say that the first one my family owned was a N64, though I played games on the SNES at a friend's house before that. I'm not really particularly brand loyal or anything -- if it has games I'd like to play on it, and I have the money (THIS IS THE KEY) I will buy the console. There are some series, like Tales and Kingdom Hearts, that have actually spurred me to buy consoles this way. Also, I'm an import gamer, so things like region coding is important to me!

I'm feeling pretty dubious about the Xbox One even after Microsoft's revised statements (seriously, how did they think the internet thing was a good idea in the first place?), so I think I'm going to avoid that one despite the fact that I do have a 360.

I'm not much for video games, so there's that! But I did purchase a 3DS the other day because my friends are dirty enablers. I mostly stick to PC games since they're pirateable... and I really am enjoying the Bioshock franchise right now!

I am not much of a gamer. I had a Super Nintendo and a Nintendo DS, which built my love for Mario games, and Yoshi's Island especially, but I haven't played any video games in a long time. The last time I can remember doing it is playing Tetris in an airport on a Gameboy Color or DS, I can't even remember which. I love Tetris and am quite happy that I don't have it on my phone because I would never accomplish anything else.

I love my handheld consoles, especially the nintendo ones, I've had every generation of them since the game boy and the 3DS is now one of my most played ones. The PS2 also holds a spot in my heart for having so many amazing games as well as the nostalgia factor. I have the Wii U and it's awesome and I'm really excited about the PS4. Not so much about the Xbox One. Let's not talk about the Xbox One.

I USED TO PLAY MY DS but then my DS broke so now I guess I just play the PS3..... DS for life though. 8(!!! UHMMMmmm I don't really play videogames otherwise though.

I want to get a PS4 and a Wii U. Mostly for awesome games, but I am also a huge stickler for amazing graphics. I collect systems, so I have quite a lot already. I prefer stationary consoles, but own several handhelds as well. I play in whatever way I can!

Nintendo's handheld consoles are easily my most used playing platform. But they have most Pokemon games (I don't want to count, how many playing hours I have in my games combined ^^'), so that's to be expected. I also loooove Ace Attorney and Ghost Trick. It's so much easier to pick up the DS, than to play with other consoles or a computer. And it can be done anywhere. So that has to be my favorite.

I do have PS2, PS3, PSP and Wii, but with those I have a bad habit of buying games and then never finish them. Sometimes I never even start them. And if that doesn't happen, I just get stuck or go on hiatus for so long that I have forgotten what happened in the game and should restart it to get into it again. This happens especially with RPGs. I have finished FFVIII and FFX, but otherwise they are all still work in progress.
I sometimes wonder, if I enjoy watching others playing more than doing it myself in these cases... because I often find myself watching, when Trias plays games like Persona 4, Tales series or Xenoblade. I like the story, not the dungeon exploring. Which is weird, seeing my favorite game is Pokemon, which is pretty much mindless grinding most of the time. XD
I also enjoy party games like Singstar and Dancing Stage.

I didn't play anything but the Sims games on my computer for ~15 years. But now I have League of Legends, so I'm not completely ignoring the gaming potential of the PC. Although I still don't really enjoy playing with mouse and keyboard. I want some kind of controller.

Oh man! Already bought the Wii U and will probably wait for a little while to buy the PS4 but I definitely want one! The Xbox One was a failed system so I don't see that point in buying one at all.

Lately I've stuck to handheld systems - 3DS, DS, PSP - and Playstation systems. I have a lot of PS2 and PSX games to finish (...and they're mostly 40+ hour JRPGs sob). My current PC is old and slow; games work all right for a while before they start to lag (which I discovered while playing the water level from Amnesia: The Dark Descent, ugh), so I don't do much PC gaming.

Of the next gen systems, PS4 is the most likely buy, and maybe WiiU (though tbh my brother is way more into Nintendo than I am, so we usually just swap systems for a while to play the games we want).
