Hello everyone, and welcome back to Seiyuu Guess! Our host for this game is Shizuka, a rookie seiyuu who's still learning the tricks of the trade! She's been provided with a description, image, and clip of a certain character, and it's up to you to help her figure out who voices them.
After recuperating from having lost both arms in the war, this soldier is ready for new orders from her commanding officer, Major Gilbert. She's picked up from the hospital by a man named Claudia Hodgins, a friend of Gilbert's whom he entrusted with the girl's care now that the war's over. With no new assignments forthcoming, she takes a job at Claudia's fledgling business, CH Postal Services. At first she just sorts and delivers mail, but one day she happens to listen in on a client's session with one of CH's Auto Memory Dolls. These women ghostwrite letters for the illiterate and anyone else who needs a little help getting their feelings down on paper. This girl decides to become one in an effort to understand the true meaning behind Gilbert's last words to her: "I love you." Let's hear the clip...
"You want to work with the Auto Memory Dolls?"
"Yes. I still have difficulty holding a pen, but I am able to use a typewriter."
"No, that's not it. I'm asking you why you want that work."
"I want to know! ...I want to know what 'I love you' means. After giving his final orders, the major uttered those words to me. That was the first time I had ever heard him say it. I don't understand what state of mind it refers to. I can't understand it."
"Generally speaking, understanding that is what makes an Auto Memory Doll. But...very well."
