Hello everyone, and welcome back to Seiyuu Guess! Our host for this game is Shizuka, a rookie seiyuu who's still learning the tricks of the trade! She's been provided with a description, image, and clip of a certain character, and it's up to you to help her figure out who voices them.
Every year Hotaru Takegawa spends her summer vacation visiting her uncle out in the country. On one of her trips, when she's about six, she happens to wander into a forest, known among the locals for being supposedly haunted. Lost, scared, and tired, she's about to give up hope when this masked man appears and offers to lead her to the exit. She runs up to hug him in thanks, but he quickly jumps out of the way. He explains that if a human touches him, he'll disappear. With his help, Hotaru finds her way home, but she's so intrigued by her savior that she returns the next day. The two strike up a summertime friendship, but as the years progress, so too do Hotaru's feelings. Let's hear the clip...
"I'm looking forward to it. In three years, when I graduate, I plan on looking for a job here. Then I can be with you more. In autumn...winter...spring...always. Right?"
"Hotaru. Let me tell you about myself. I'm not a spirit. But...I'm no longer human. It seems like I was once a human, but when I was a baby, I was abandoned in this forest. I'd only just been abandoned, so I cried helplessly, as if to call back the parents who left me. They say I didn't stop crying for a long time. I should've died then, but the mountain god appeared and cast a spell that allowed me to continue living. So that I never move on. I'm like a ghost. Hotaru. It's okay if you forget about me. A body that's maintained by magic is very weak. If it touches a real human body, the spell will break and the body will disappear. It's such a fragile thing. How long can you--"
"Something that disappears when touched - it's just like snow, isn't it? [Character name], I thought of you during winter. Even during autumn...and spring. [Character name], don't forget about me. Don't forget."
