Introduction

Pot of Gold is a monthly game. The objective of the Pot of Gold is to complete different 'tasks' that will be different every month. You'll get small rewards for completing them individually, but receive bonuses if you manage to complete all of them. How much of the rainbow can you complete?

This month's theme is... Oshi no Ko!

Rules

☆ Everything collected and turned in for these tasks must be done and logged in between September 1st and October 5th.
☆ When commenting here after completing a task, make sure you label your subject with Completed:, as well as the number of the task you finished.
☆ Please give me a link to your logs with every comment you make. Also, make sure you link me all the stuff that I need to check.
☆ I will be able to pass out most of the prizes (excluding the grand prize) before the end of the month, so please tell me (with a note in your comment) if you want them earlier.
☆ Pot of Gold tasks can only be turned in when the round is open, so that means that after 12:01 PM GMT on October 5th, you can't turn in anything even if your tasks were completed and logged in the correct time!
☆ You can format your comment however you prefer. Veth has posted a lovely code here that you can use if you'd like.
☆ If you are using a coupon for your rewards - please link it somewhere I can see so that I can process it when giving out rewards!

Akane Kurokawa is a very talented actress, able to immerse herself in any role she has been given. It is all thanks of all behind the scenes preparation she does, so help her prepare for her next big role!

Purple Task

Ai was her generation's legendary idol, remembered for her skills in singing, dancing, acting and everything that could be expected of an idol. Others could learn a lot from her so help them do so!

It's amazing how much more you're into a game when you actually unlock content past the base starting town lol. Some of it's still janky but you can never go wrong with a farming sim. 		Orange Task: Complete! Describe a series you have been into recently in a few sentences. I've been listening to the Magnus Protocol podcast! It is a horror fiction audio series, and the sequel to the Magnus Archives. This arc of the story follows a group of very queer night workers at a nondescript government agency, whose primary task is to listen to and catalogue the constant stream strange and inexplicable cases that get broadcast over a series of esoteric PCs from the 90s. As time goes on, the mystery grows as it becomes clear that, surprise surprise, there is a lot more to the Department than meets the eye. So far we've had office politics, clunky romantic entanglement, several reanimated corpses, a killer children's mascot, and many intriguing nods to characters in the first series, which leads to all kinds of speculation, ha ha. Looking forward to seeing how everything pans out!

I've been binge listening to this actual play podcast called Interstitial, playing a tabletop rpg of the same name. It's the official one for the game and there's 4 seasons! I'm onto the most recent season, all of which are self-contained stories. The basic premise of the game is all the players are playing characters from pre-existing media and get placed in different worlds of different media. The 4th season's deviating that formula a little bit by being set in the Infinity Train world entirely with different train cars not being tied to a specific media. Either way, it's probably the funniest podcast I've ever listened to.

		Orange Task: COMPLETE! Describe a series you have been into recently in a few sentences. Okayyyy so I've been in kind of a slump in terms of actually doing... anything recently, but I just got my hands on the Obey Me! manga so I'll talk about that. It covers the first season of the first game, where the main character (named Ibuki in the manga) is transported into the Devildom for the student exchange program. The goal of the program is to help unite the Devildom, the Celestial Realm, and the human world. Unfortunately, in the process of being brought over, Ibuki's been turned into a small sheep. They're left under the care of the seven demon lords, who they have to befriend and in the process eventually end up making pacts with and repairing the family bonds.

		Orange Task: Complete Describe a series you have been into recently in a few sentences. i just started watching frieren with my partner! i had bought the first volume of the manga last year, but never actually...got around to reading it. i'm really enjoying the vibes and characters, and the narrative themes of grief and learning from it, and applying those lessons to later relationships. it's really interesting to learn about a lot of the characters in retrospect too. also the soundtrack is honestly so good, and the english dub is solid.

		Orange Task: Complete! Describe a series you have been into recently in a few sentences. Recently I have been losing my mind over The Elusive Samurai by Matsui Yuusei!! He's also the author of Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro and Assassination Classroom. The Elusive Samurai is a manga mostly based on real historical events, specifically the fall of the Kamakura shogunate in 1333. The protagonist, Hojo Tokiyuki, survives the siege of Kamakura where his entire family is killed by Ashikaga Takauji, who used to be faithful to the Hojo family. Tokiyuki is taken in by the priest Suwa Yorishige, who provides him with allies and tells him that he will someday change the entire history of the country. I normally have no interest in history or period pieces, but I LOVE Yuusei's work, and I was so excited to get into this series (Cloverworks is doing an amazing job adapting it this season!!). If you like either of his other works even a little bit, you will love this one - his art, humor, and themes just never miss.

ORANGE: Over the course of the past year, I got into Kamen Rider! I've watched W, Fourze, a little Drive, and now OOO (what a silly order to watch them in when W OOO Fourze are 2 3 4...). It's fun to hear expressions like "Mou!" and see different parts of Japanese daily life in the villains of the week (well, for the most part there are two-episode units that each cover one villain). W is the best, the film noir aesthetic is lightning in a bottle.

		Orange Task: Complete Describe a series you have been into recently in a few sentences. Recently I've been incredibly into the Chinese boys love novel Heaven Official's Blessing. It's a really great series about a fallen and recently reascended god by the name of Xie Lian solving mysteries and trying to find his footing in a world that has moved on without him. While also unravelling mysteries that are intertwined with his own past and deciphering his feelings towards a strange man in red who seems to know everything in the world who has suddenly sauntered into his life. It's really good! I'm excited for season 3 of the donghua.
