Introduction

Pot of Gold is a monthly game. The objective of the Pot of Gold is to complete different 'tasks' that will be different every month. You'll get small rewards for completing them individually, but receive bonuses if you manage to complete all of them. How much of the rainbow can you complete?

This month's theme is... Spy x Family!

Rules

☆ Everything collected and turned in for these tasks must be done and logged in between January 1st and February 1st. You get one month and one month only, use it wisely.

☆ When commenting here after completing a task, make sure you label your subject with Completed:, as well as the color of the task you finished.

☆ Please give me a link to your logs with every comment you make. Also, make sure you link me all the stuff that I need to check.

☆ Pot of Gold tasks can only be turned in when the round is open, so that means that after 12:01 PM GMT on February 1st, you can't turn in anything even if your tasks were completed and logged in the correct time!

☆ You can format your comment however you prefer. Veth has posted a lovely code here that you can use if you'd like.

☆ If you are using a coupon for your rewards - please link it somewhere I can see so that I can process it when giving out rewards!

Red Task

Anya has a very important mission: to achieve world peace by making friends with a kid from her school. How will that happen, you may ask? Anya has absolutely no idea. Maybe we can make a little world peace happen here at Colors.

Task: Trade with 10 people this month.

Reward: 12 random cards + 2 crayons

Orange Task

Sylvia is nicknamed the "Fullmetal Lady" by her underlings because of her fearsome reputation as a commanding officer of the WISE intelligence agency. She must be an impressive agent!

Task: Spell "FULLMETAL" with cards earned in January. The cards must start with the letters. You will lose these cards.

Reward: 15 random cards + 2 crayons

Yellow Task

Yor is very worried about people finding out that she's secretly an assassin and tries extra hard to seem as normal as possible. Let's help out Yor by showing her the many super duper normal things we do here at Colors.

Task: Use at least 5 services this month. Art Shop, Art Studio, Recycled Art, Donations, Masteries, Levels, Activity Rewards, or others will be accepted.

Reward: 10 random cards + 1 crayon

Green Task

Codename Twilight, Loid is the best of the best at his spy organization, which is why he's been given the task of maintaining peaceful relations between his country and their neighbors. We've got to prove to Loid we're the best at what we do too!

Task: Master two decks this month. Primary tier players only have to master one deck.

Reward: 10 random cards

Blue Task

Fiona is a talented spy, maybe even a little unscrupulous in her ambition, but it's all to impress her one true love--Loid! What better way to get Loid's attention than to make sure she's seen all over Colors TCG?

Task: Respond to 15 games this month.

Reward: 15 random cards

Purple Task

Becky's no secret agent or psychic. She's just a normal girl--if you consider being filthy rich normal. She's also a huge fan of romance movies and TV and loooves to talk about romance.

Task: Talk about your favorite ships! Do you have a current favorite? Old favorites? Canon vs fanon? Favorite tropes? If you're not a big romance shipper, platonic/familial/etc ships can also count.

Reward: 3 random cards + 5 crayons

Brown Task

Despite his youth, Yuri was able to quickly rise through the ranks in the Ostanian government and now works for their secret police. Better watch out, Loid...

Task: Level up once OR gain 100 cards this month.

Reward: 10 random cards

Gray Task

Who's a good boy?? Bond is, that's who! In addition to being the smartest, cutest, best dog around, he can also see the future! Wait, what?

Task: Turn in 5 cards of pets, such as cats, dogs, birds, and so on. (Fantasy creatures are fine as long as they're still pets.) You will lose these cards.

Reward: 10 new release cards

Rewards

☆ You can earn up to a total of 75 random cards, 10 random crayons, and 10 new release cards for completing the tasks for this month.

☆ Completing all the tasks will earn you an additional 20 random cards, 3 random crayons, and one of the GRAND PRIZES below!

		Purple Task: Completed Talk about your favorite ships! Oh man! Do I have some ships. I think one of my biggest is XiCheng (Lan Xichen x Jiang Cheng). Its a special little ship that has no bases in the original media, but it ended up becoming the second biggest ship in the fandom (outside of the protagonist). I remember when they had the cookies for the art, the Xicheng ones were always in low stock, their merch sells out usually first (then again they keep a higher stock of the protags), ect ect. Art and later stuff made them more "hinted", definitely something for the fans. I am also a SatoSugu fan, its kind of the same thing, you got the happy one then you got the stoicish one (tho both are idiots and serious, so a little not). But its such a good ship, the series offered too much crumbs for little ol me. Oh and ofc, my YGO ships of KaiJou still holds strong, but unfortunately its a very dead ship atm (at least I don't see new stuff anymore), but that's okay, I was well fed growing up. Oh and my PKMN one of Daigo x Mikuri, Its one of my older ships from Gen 3 (tho I had Gen 2 ships), They were just a weird mix, I cant explain how I got into them during Gen 3, but it happened. And Apparently others thought so too, they even had a little Valentine thing for Masters EX. Oh and god my RE Ships like Ada and Leon are *chefs kiss*, actual playing Hard to get. Hnnggg I have so many ships I love as you can tell.

If you're not a big romance shipper, platonic/familial/etc ships can also count. Oh boy do I have some ships. I've been replaying Ace Attorney so Wrightworth's been on my mind lately... I remember playing through the first game for the very first time and I started shipping them kinda jokingly during the second case. Then I got hit with the unnecessary feelings line, and it was all downhill (or I guess uphill) from there. I have sosososo many feelings about them I wish I could articulate them worth a crap. Multishipping's always fun too, just to think about all the possibilities and dynamics between various characters. I also tend to be pretty biased towards gay ships, but hetero ships will sneak in there sometimes. First to come to mind is Annette and Felix from Three Houses, their support scenes are pretty cute.

As a useless sapphic, I've always been a fan of yuri/girl's love manga, if general romance is included in the question! Tamen de Gushi/SQ: Begin With Your Name is my absolute favorite. It's such a happy, cute, realistic, and drop-dead hilarious romance! I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a great, healthy romance manhua. Most of my ships are pretty rare, so I have to scrounge around the internet looking for content for them. My first favorite ship was Bustershipping, Iris/Georgia from Pokémon! I've always loved rivals-to-lovers, ships where both parties banter frequently but still have immense respect for each other. I've never been a huge fan of outright canon ships (i.e. the "main couple" of a non-romance-oriented piece of media) but there are exceptions - I love side character ships/B-couples, even if they are canon, and I do like ships like Ninten/Ana (Mother 1) and Shuichi/Kaede (DRV3)! Currently, hm... My current obsession (Cathy x Heathcliff - Limbus Company) isn't getting a dedicated chapter until March so I'm clinging onto scraps of lore and reading Wuthering Heights to prepare myself. I feel insane every time he mentions her I love it when a ship is unhealthily codependent and one of them dies!! I'm usually casual and I barely ship at all but something about them just gets me, I very much enjoy how determined and obsessive he is and I would be very disappointed if he ended up leaving her in the past in Canto VI. I understand if that's the story they want to tell but please, whatever's wrong with them is so much more interesting... Most ships I like are basically canon (Akihiko x Kotone - Persona 3, Denji x Asa - Chainsaw Man, Kaworu x Shinji - NGE) so I eat pretty good in terms of content! Idk about tropes but I really love it when two wounded people find happiness together and get to feel free and safe and accepted by each other and then the universe violently pries them apart. The progression of their relationship feels so natural, completely different from the girls, who unfortunately suffer from the harem aspect the game tries throwing your way. Crow and Rean have been through so much together, and they just complete each other. After meeting Crow, Rean doesn't feel the same without him-- which becomes clear throughout Cold Steel III. It's a shame that they aren't considered canon.
