Sorry for the delay but today I am bringing you a classic - Random anime/manga day!
Go to Crunchyroll or Random Anime. You can also use any other site that has a "random result" button. If you'd rather read manga instead, any site that allows you to randomly choose a series will do.

What you watched/read: Peppermint - Koi no Wasuremono
How was it? This college sophomore has huge shoulders, goddamn. And the hands are pretty Yaoi. The actual content is pretty straightforward yaoi stuff, nothing to really write home about. There's only two English chapters on Mangadex anyway so I'm relieved I didn't get invested in it and then have no content translated >>

What you watched/read: Aoi Bungaku Series
How was it? I watched episode one, so I am going off the first episode of the first story, but I enjoys series like this, so I will probably plan to finish it. 12 Episodes is quite doable, and adaptations of books are quite enjoyable. I remember in school having to read japanese modernist works, so It gives me a reminder of those haha.

What you watched/read: tokyo ghoul
How was it? I feel like everyone and their mother has read Tokyo Ghoul/watched it except me so it was kind of funny that popped up as my first random choice! Usually really gory stuff isn't my cup of tea so I never really picked it up, and I'm not sure I'd continue reading it because of it. Kaneki is cute though... and it's neat to learn his origin story since I see him around all the time! ;w;

What you watched/read: Nisekoi
How was it? I was vaguely aware of this anime, but I've never actually watched it until now. Hey kiddos let's not promise to get married when you're a a child. Oh but the food section and cooking are surprisingly delicious looking. I DID NOT realize that the main male character was the heir of a yakuza house until right now. The meet cute (high school) was pretty fun. Is it still a meet cute when somebody gets injured? I'm probably not going to keep watching, just because I have a really hard time focusing on anime these days.

What you watched/read: Makai Ouji
How was it? i feel like i vaguely heard of this (mentioned alot when b project came out bc same chara designer) but i never looked into it but since the randomizer gave it to me why not check out the first chapter? its okay. first chapter didn’t really grip me. the artwork was nice and it seems like a kinda interesting premise but it feels like one of those series that might have a really slow start until we get to the real meat & twists of the story. for now i dont think im gonna keep reading.

How was it? i have never heard of this before and i like characters with glasses so i was intrigued! the premise is that a young woman wants people to love wearing glasses like she does, so she opens a store and helps them find the perfect pair for them. it was cute! it's a bit wordy but i enjoyed it. i kinda wish there was more, but a lot of my appreciation for it was how earnest it felt lol like the author just likes glasses! and i think that's cute!! meganebashi is adorable and i love her design too, i might have to keep an eye on this one

How was it? Well apparently me and Shiranna are going to watch the full series soon/sometime soon/idek when after seeing that trailer, so you know, that really looked like ~~our thing~~. People fighting over who gets the half-priced bento box?? And I hadn't heard of this yet??? I liked the character designs etc and it looked like fun, looking forward to watching all of it o/

What you watched/read: Cells at Work! CODE BLACK
How was it? Let me start this off by saying that I don't think this is the start of the series as a whole...so I was kinda confused going into it. The premise certainly seems interesting, though, and the art was nice. I think if I actually understood what was going on, I would've been more into it. Though, considering what "CODE BLACK" usually ends up meaning...I will say that I was not at all surprised when the characters were immediately thrown into things.
I do plan on looking into watching the original series, though.

you are correct! so cells at work CODE BLACK is a spinoff of the premise that's supposed to be what's happening/what happens to a body where the owner isn't taking care of it (i think it's hinted to be a middle aged man? he's a smoker, he has unprotected sex, he eats poorly, etc) as opposed to the og cells at work where it's just. injuries and allergies keep happening to the poor schmuck the characters are inside of. OG is a bit more light-hearted tho it does have some serious beats/plot arcs and I think it spends a little more time establishing what's going on/what various cells are supposed to do/be.
there's also cells at work for women, babies, and a spin off where cells don't mature how they're supposed to.

How was it? so i've seen card art of this around at least, and i was curious? so this works out actually. but lmao what is *up* with mister protag's hair? only one of these three main kids doesn't have semi-unfortunate hair... the character designs are a disappointment because i know the art style has the potential to be so cute and yet!! child's got a reverse 6 for bangs and the other has long hair *and* a bowlcut at the same time...
i get really into character design im sorry.
i'm not sure about chrono or his motivation at all to be honest, and the show isn't particularly gripping. i don't think ill keep up with it at all, i can't take the character designs seriously at all.

lol the start to this show is hilarious, they're like "They inherit the names of horses from another world! They have to run! Why? Just go with it!" and then the horse rides the train? What was the running thing for then? Especially because later in the episode she outruns a whole ass car!
It's bizarre, there's like this mix of sports anime hype for the field they race on and cute girls doing cute things idol anime where they go "Uwaa... so this is our stage..." and get excited over the other idol horse girls and also trying to capture the charm of the producer from Zombie Land Saga and failing (I think, I haven't seen ZLS either...) but I honestly... don't hate this 100%? I might watch more? However, I also don't want to be the Colors player that's unironically into horse girls LOL

What you watched/read: shin sekai yori (from the new world)
How was it? hilariously one of my friends has been trying to get me to watch this for years and i just kept forgetting to. i made a mistake in doing it when i was slightly sleepy because it's slower paced. not boring but it has that kind of relaxing atmosphere that makes you want to doze... that said i trust absolutely nothing and i feel like this is going to be soul crushing?? it has that vibe??

What you watched/read: Butterflies Singing Love Song Flutter About the Four Blossoms
How was it? There's....only one chapter! The heck! Regardless, what seems to be interesting about it seems to be that its implied to be an isekai-reincarnation story but the protagonist doesn't remember her modern life. The art is nice, and it seems to be a typical fantasy setting, but not much else to go on, here. The two princes shown seem to be rather generic, though...well, since it's only one chapter, I guess there's nothing to look forward to here.

What you watched/read: Joran the Princess of Snow and Blood
How was it? The animation was beautiful, very smooth. Plot was kinda vague for a pilot, they're assassins that kill shapeshifters? I think? One of the ladies has an umbrella crossbow and that's rad as hell! Also, someone speaks pretty good English in this and that always throws me in anime.

What you watched/read: Girly Air Force
How was it? I'll be honest and say that getting through the first ten minutes was difficult. I can appreciate an anime that immediately gives action depending on how they DO it. Randomly going into a fighter plane vs apparent alien battle at the beginning with 0 introduction to the characters doesn't do it for me (Eureka 7 AO did something similar, but we got to know the characters and get the attack towards the end of the episode). It seems relatively generic with no aspects that called out to me from characters, art, music, etc. Which is difficult for me to say since I'm that person who Will watch the first episode but maybe it's just because I actually really enjoy the mecha genre so I'm just like aah... That said, it didn't capture my attention so I clicked off after the 11 minute mark and probably won't continue.

What you watched/read: Vatican Miracle Examiner
How was it? It took a few rolls (kept getting ones I've seen) - then I got one I've never heard of/seen when I went to Random Anime. This one is...interesting. It's actually super right up my alley, too! It's about 2 priests who work for the Vatican and investigate claimed miracles to determine if they were true or false claims. They also look into other things going on at the locations they visit too, it seems like. Anyway, I think it's probably something I'll watch more of because I like semi-supernatural/spooky vibes of it, even though it's a little silly.

What you watched/read: gatchaman crowds
How was it? i've been aware of gatchaman crowds since it came out, and i thought my fandom osmosis was good but...somehow it wasn't quite what i was expecting! i didn't know it had as much of a tokusatsu vibe as it did. i don't know if i'd keep watching it, because tokusatsu isn't really something that piques my interest too much, but i did watch the entire first episode so it at least held my interest for that long.

What you watched/read: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Battle Tendency
How was it? Loved it! A lot of my friends have been telling me to start Jojo for ages and with Stone Ocean's anime release, I finally have been trying to get caught back up. I just finished the second part and it's been such a blast to watch. I can see why it's so popular and I'm really excited to start Stardust Crusaders.

What you watched/read: Blade Runner: Black Lotus
How was it? I'm not even sure it counts?? It was made in America, wasn't it? I can't really recall and google's confusing about it.
BUT, I've been meaning to catch this for a few weeks and have heard good things from friends. As a long time Blade Runner nerd, when I saw that ad on crunchy roll, I figured that's what I was going to watch. And it was pretty good!! I like the mystery and the characters. Not huge on the CGI art style but it's not terrible either. It can grow on me.
Anyway, I'm gonna keep watching it now so I guess it's a winner!

What you watched/read: Sentimental Garden Lover
How was it? The first chapter had a cat being in love with his owner, a non-explict sex scene, and said cat turning into a human so... it was a lot to take in LOL at first I had mixed feelings about it, but I think ultimately I liked it! I don't know if I would keep reading it long-term, but I always have a tendency to want to see how a story ends, so... Even if it was a wild chapter but it was still very gay and very cute :'D

What you watched/read: Deguchi Zero
How was it? Well, MangaDex gave me this one on random. The premise of it was a girl enrolling in a school for actors that wasn't what it seemed, so I figured 'okay, let me give it a shot'. The first chapter was okay, right up till the end where things got weird? Like, a character given a role of an antagonist straight-up beat a girl with a training sword that suddenly turned to lead weird. I'm not sure if I liked it enough to keep reading. :/

How was it? I really liked the art style of the anime and the idea of it. Arts? Magic? Yeah, right up my alley. I will definitely check out more when I wanna watch something that seems silly and romantic.

What you read: Live Dungeon
How was it? Imagine if FFXIV got new management and made everything pay-to-play, so everyone left the game save for a few people who are either rich or determined to beat the game and get all the achievements despite the odds. This kid plays with himself as all the classes at the same time through the dungeons (somehow) on multiple computers.
Now add a sprinkle of .hack// where he gets sucked into the game and freaks out when the dungeon boss he spawns in front of literally melts the skin off his bones. Next thing he knows he respawns at a lower level somewhere else and bumps into NPCs who appraise his items and he plays along suddenly thinking he's in a dream.
All been done before and done better.

How was it? i have actually idly wondered about who this character was after getting her cards in randomizers... and also confusing her deck for "monotone" who is way more popular :'( but it's a cute mini-series! miss monochrome is yui horie's vocaloid-esque android oc who became an idol to meet one she admires... and she also has a pet roomba! ofc wacky hijinks occur and she ends up working in a convenience store instead. it's pretty cute, and i think i'll actually be collecting her deck now...!

How was it? Eh... I wasn't really a fan. It's basically a one-shot about a girl whose presence manipulates men even though she doesn't want it to, and she goes to help the Kendo club at her school so they can actually win. Through... exploiting their fetishes for hands and hair and stuff, which correlates to where you hit in Kendo, I guess? I don't know much about Kendo so maybe I would've found it funnier if I did, but I was pretty lukewarm on it. I couldn't continue it even if I wanted to, but I wouldn't have read more if there had been any available.

What you watched/read: Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu
How was it? it was alright. i didn't fall in love with it, but i didn't hate it either. mc was annoying at first until they showed he's a good guy. first ep kinda felt meandering... at the very beginning they establish something Important is going on, hence mc is brought into a fantasy world. then they just....... don't come back to that all and make it seem like a slice of life? (idk if that's the point or not lol). i probably won't watch more but that's just me personally

How was it? I'm not usually into sports anime, but I did enjoy this! It was interesting to learn about a sport I didn't know about too (though it must be tiring for the seiyuu to keep chanting kabbadi over and over again). I like the haraguro character haha.
