tbh i could see an american movie remake starring leonardo dicaprio being a thing. a gritty photojournalist who's probably an ex cop trying to figure out why some woman he cared about disappeared years ago, only to find evil Satanic rituals(!). on second thought i want to stop inventing the worst timeline let me out.
if they kept the main character a woman it would be played by sarah michelle gellar.
