Unfortunately, I still can't accept it. :( I'm sorry. Cheesy it may be, that honestly reads as friendship to me with Rei being afraid of losing his friend so his subconscious takes it on in the form of a dream. I asked around about whether or not Rei and Nagisa were canon just to be sure, but each person has given me the same absolute 'no'. The majority vote was that the deck be kept canon rather than semi-canon or non-canon, so I have to abide by that rule.
