Birthdays!

Let's talk about birthdays! Have you had any particularly memorable birthdays? Any amazing birthday presents? Do you like having a huge party for your birthday, or do you prefer a smaller get-together? Each year, are you excited or feeling dreadful to be a year older? If you could invite anyone from any anime/manga/video game to your birthday party, who would you invite? :P

I've been excited about my birthday in the past, but now that I've reached 21... getting older doesnt mean one step closer to anything exciting, so my biggest excitement from now on will probably be presents and getting a nice dinner and cake! Any excuse for cake is a good day.

I like small parties. I'm not a big people person, but having a nice night with some friends is fun.

My birthday is coming up in five days! But I doubt there will be anything going on there, so no parties. More than anything I just want chocolate cake, and maybe have a few people over but eh...

My birthday isn't terribly exciting, because it's so close to Christmas, I don't get the luxury of a party and I'm not the type to do a half-birthday party as it is so I'm glad if I even get a small card haha ;w; And as said above, I'm 21 now so there's nothing to really be Excited for.

My family doesn't celebrate birthdays so most of the stuff I get are from my wonderful friends. <3 As Kaede said above, it's a good time to gift things to the people you love.

My birthday falls on the Mid-Autumn festival, said to be the largest full moon in a year - so I end up having vampire or werewolf jokes made to me, but I don't mind. :') I'm pretty pale-skinned, anyway.

Honestly, I forget my birthday every year it seems... I only realize somewhat hazily "hm, April is an important month... wonder wh-- OH YEAH." lol

I tend not to like a lot of sweets, but my favorite kind of cake is funfetti cake (yes, the kids' cake...).

I have no idea who I'd invite though. I just so hardly remember it's something to be celebrated to start with, I wouldn't be able to imagine inviting a character in specific to join me in celebrating it. xD;

hahah Uh I dont really have any good spectacular memories of my birthday. I don't usually do much on my birthday. My birthday is actually Monday. It's kind of another day (though hey a lot of TCGs give out free cards, so there is that.) If I could invite anyone... B-) Black Magician Girl. because of course I would!

I've never been a big party person. I usually just go out to eat at my favorite restaurant (a sushi/hibachi place) with my family. My birthday is between christmas day and new years eve, so my friends are rarely free/willing to celebrate it with me (usually because it's hard to meet up during winter breaks).

I think my best birthday parties were as a kid. I think my favorite birthday was when I turned 6. ...That kind of sounds sad, considering im 22. I'd like to celebrate with friends, for once.

My family doesn't celebrate birthdays, so I've never done parties or get-togethers or anything before (= u =) Usually I get to choose what to make for dinner or something, but it's whatever's in the fridge anyways haha~ But the one thing I love about the day, is that a friend and I do art trades for each other's birthdays, so I get to see her wonderful art and sappy poem and when it's her birthday I get to draw her art and write sappy poems! I LOVE GETTING ART IT LITERALLY MAKES MY DAY

My birthday comes directly after Colors Anniversary Month, so I guess I'm extending the celebratory mood by one day!

I don't really celebrate my birthday; to me it's just another reminder that I've gone yet another round around the Sun, and that there is just so much to do with so little time. I haven't had a celebration for the past few years! I'm perfectly happy with it though. For me the best part of birthdays is knowing who actually remembered, I guess :p

I'd like to celebrate my birthday this year with my closest friends though ^_^ you know who you are! \o/

i tend not to celebrate my birthdays anymore - i'm old enough that there are no exciting milestones to reach anymore, and getting older on its own has topped being exciting a few years ago.

it's still nice to spend an evening with family or friends and some cake and alcohol, though.

My fiancee (who will be my wife in a week :O :O :O ) proposed to me on my birthday while we were eating pizza. We were supposed to go somewhere nice, but she twisted her ankle at work and we had to stay in. It's still a sweet memory, though.

Other than that, I was the only girl on my mom's side, so video of my first birthday is the girliest thing ever. So many My Little Ponies circa 1988 XD

I don't care much about my birthday other than I might be able to get food I don't normally get to eat on it. And money is always tight around my birthday so I avoid asking for stuff (I did get new glasses last year though since someone helped with the bill), so to me it's just a day next to Halloween where I might get to go out to eat. I guess I don't look forward to it, but as long as I don't get extra attention it's an alright day.

My birthday is actually tomorrow! Normally, my mom would come and take me out to one of my favorite restaurants (TGI Friday's, Olive Garden, etc) and celebrate my birthday that way. However, since she had her stroke and we've been living on the money that my poppa gave me, I don't think we're going to be doing anything special for my 23rd birthday.

I just want a red velvet cake for it. :( That's all~

I don't do much for my birthday anymore, because I'm at the age where it stops being a big deal (and starts being "oh god, where has my life gone"). But I'll usually buy something nice I've been eyeing but reluctant to splurge on, and my family usually takes me to dinner at my favorite place downtown. I'm not big on big parties, so something fun with a close person or three is fine by me. (Although one year the Protomen were playing in my city the day before my birthday, so my best friend and I went to that and it was pretty great. \o/ )

I'm at an age when birthdays are just another sign that I'm getting old. :x I haven't done anything big for mine in a while, and that probably won't change this year. I'll probably buy a game or something for myself, but we'll see.

The best birthday gift I've gotten in a while was tickets to see Vienna Teng, and she played my favorite song of hers. That was great.

When I was younger, I used to have birthday parties every year, but nowadays I don't find birthdays to be very exciting. I mostly use it as an excuse to buy myself a treat, like a book or game that I wouldn't normally buy.

Actually, it's my birthday this month! I like the idea of birthdays but... Lmao. There's been an awful lot of family drama around them for many years of my life so I tend to get randomly anxious. Sucks, yeah. But I like getting to see my friends (and of course presents, who doesn't like that?) This year, my fiancee and I are going to a big saturday market on a nearby island so that'll be fun!

I don't really do anything out of the ordinary to celebrate my birthday, no party or get together or anything like that really. :o If anything, I don't really look forward to it, because the older I get, the closer I am to having to deal with even more problems in the future.... (orz)

I'd invite someone over who has a lot of money so they can buy me $$$$$ in Love Gems as gifts....

I don't usually do anything for my birthday, so I don't think about it as anything special. Though this year is the last sort-of "important" birthday milestone, so I might do something special for that?

Honestly my ideal birthday would be watching a movie and eating cake with some friends. Just a small thing, I think.

I'm a total food-lover, so anywhere with a good meal and maybe good friends? I'm game. Other than that I'm not really into making a big deal out of it. It's just another day to me.

I was very excited about getting a year older before I turned 18, now I often forget how old I am. 22? Or was it 23? JESUS CHRIST I'M 23, it seems so surreal to me, I'm still a teenager at heart. Anyway, I love to throw a huge party every year, with gaming tournaments and KFC food delivery, it's fun.

Also, ever since I saw this freakin image I really want to party with the Xillia crew. They can even bring Gaius with them so I can laugh at him when he tries to stay serious all the time.
