If you like adorable idol anime (or just super adorable anime in general), you should absolutely watch Aikatsu! It's pretty long at this point, currently sitting at 124 episodes, but it's so goddamn adorable I can't even begin to describe it.
The CGI in the performances in the first season may look a little weird or off but it definitely getsbetter in later seasons. Plus all the characters are super adorable and you might end up getting really attached then crying at the final episode in the first season if you're like me......
So yes, please watch Aikatsu if you like super adorable (idol) anime!! Don't let the number of episodes intimidate you! There's nice handy batch torrents out there if you want to give it a try!
