Post is now closed, thank you!

Once again, we're looking for some new people to help our mod team.
We're looking for several helper mods to run a few games that were inactive for a long time.
How does being a helper mod work? Well, similar as a regular mod. The main difference is that you're initially 'employed' for a period of three months (February, March, April). This is like a 'test period' though it's not for our sake, but yours! You'll have enough time to see if you're interested in joining us full-time starting May, and if you stay active during those three months you're guaranteed to get accepted.
Of course, helper mods also receive the same mod pay as regular mods!

As for games that are available for taking: there are lots of them! Please check the tag list on the left side of the main DW community page. If a game has not been posted for more than two months, it's available! (edit: Fan Mail is also available)

Please fill the following form and post it in a comment! Comments are screened and you may apply till Sunday, February 5th and after that date the helpers will be contacted.

activity rewards

Starting September, players will be able to claim additional rewards based on their activity levels throughout the previous month. These are not replacing in any way the usual rewards you get for games, deck donations, etc, it's just an additional reward for being active. Please note that prize tiers and sizes are subject to be adjusted if needed. There are currently three separate categories you can claim rewards for. These have no effect on one another and you claim them separately, for example you can hit tier V in Games and Services and tier III in Trades in one month.

The tiers are (for now) as follows:

Games

I. Answer 5 game rounds during the month.
II. Answer 10 game rounds during the month.
III. Answer 15 game rounds during the month.
IV. Answer 20 game rounds during the month.
V. Answer 25 game rounds during the month.
VI. Answer 30 game rounds during the month.
VII. Answer 35 or more game rounds during the month.

✽ Games where you can comment multiple times (eg. Switch it Up, Swap Station) count as one round.
✽ Special events (League, Advent Calendar, Anniversary) games don't count for this.
✽ Pot of Gold counts as one no matter how many tasks you complete.

Trades

I. Trade with 3 people during the month.
II. Trade with 6 people during the month.
III. Trade with 9 people during the month.
IV. Trade with 12 people during the month.
V. Trade with 15 people during the month.
VI. Trade with 18 people during the month.
VII. Trade with 21 or more people during the month.

✽ Trade size doesn't matter.
✽ Trading crayons does count.
✽ Trades made for games, both regular (Acrostic, Pot of Gold) or special (League, Anniversary, Advent Calendar) do count.

Services

Service activity tiers work differently since we wouldn't want anyone to for example split their Art Shop request into 20 comments to stack service uses. Instead, these are counted based on how many of these things you complete in a month:

✽ use Art Shop at least once
✽ use Art Studio at least once
✽ use Recycled Art at least once
✽ master a deck
✽ max out deck donations

I. complete 1/5 tasks
II. complete 2/5 tasks
III. complete 3/5 tasks
IV. complete 4/5 tasks
V. complete 5/5 tasks

Rewards

The tiers are rewarded as follows:

I. 4 random cards
II. 8 random cards
III. 12 random cards +1 crayon
IV. 16 random cards +1 crayon
V. 20 random cards +2 crayons
VI. 24 random cards +2 crayons
VII. 28 random cards +2 crayons

Claiming

Please use this form to claim your prizes (you can do more than one in one comment):

✽ In the Activity field, please either provide links to your game answers and trades or indicate the date in your log where this activity is logged. For services, provide links with the exception of Recycled Art where a log entry is enough.
✽ You can claim prizes for the previous month during the whole month. For example, during September you'll be able to claim rewards based on your August activity but once it becomes October, unclaimed August rewards are lost and you'll be only able to claim for September. There will be a reset comment.

special deck coupon shop

So you want to donate a special deck and need a coupon? Here you can obtain one.

The current price is 20 crayons per coupon, 10 of each color you want the deck to be and you can buy one every three months. So if you get one in July, you'll be able to get your next one in October.

A few notes:

✽ Yes, you do state specific deck colors while buying a coupon. This is so people would buy coupons with a particular deck they want to donate in mind rather than to stock up on them for future use.

✽ However, this does not mean you are required to use the coupon immediately. You can hold on to it indefinitely and even use it for a different deck than originally planned.

✽ The colors are actually not set in stone - the deckmaker might decide to change one or two if the shades used in the actual deck turn out to resemble another color more or you can find a perfect mastery badge image later which would look better with another color. However, that's more of an exception than a general rule so please make your coupon purchases with actual deck donation in mind.

✽ Free special deck coupons will continue to appear as prizes in PoG and there are no changes done to them. These are also completly separate from you purchased coupons, so getting a special deck coupon from Pot of Gold does not mean you need to wait three months to buy another.

We're very sorry, but this month's release will be slightly delayed. Expect it to appear before the month ends, though. We promise to get back on track from July onwards. Thank you for your patience!

EDIT:
The June release will also be open for a longer period of time, instead of just until the July release.

Since there have been requests for a place to suggest Scrapbook themes, you can now do so in this post! Here's how it works:

♥ You can suggest two themes per month. You'll get two random cards per suggestion.
♥ The suggestions aren't working on a first come first serve basis but rather serve as a list for the deckmaker currently in charge of Scrapbook to choose from. Scrapbook themes outside of the list might still appear or the theme might be modified in a way.
♥ You may comment on other people's suggestions to show your support for a theme they suggested and discuss them
♥ Please use the form below

This is a thing that I think our game needed for some time, and after one conversation today I finally did it! Here you can find a list of all our mods and their contact information. Since we're always happy to hear some input from our players (as well as to socialize with our players in general), feel free to contact us there! You can check who's responsible for each game over here. If you don't know who to ask about a particular issue, contacting the head mods is always a good option.

This post will be permanently linked in the sidebar at the left, and I'll try to keep it up to date!

Hello Colors!! I'm hijacking the main community to bring attention to a project I've been working on! As you know we've been working on automatizing graphics donations on the official website, but as coding is a tricky thing, we haven't been quite able to do it yet. Since I'm taking care of the Graphics donation page, while we wait for a more official thing have a DIRECTORY of graphics donated from july 2013 up until now! Please report any errors you see for EFFICIENCY!

The website is still very much under construction so for the time being there's only sketchpads, link buttons and the flowers levels sets -- however, everything will be up soon! Keep up eye on it in the following days (...or hours...) to see more updates! While we wait for a fancier solution, graphics donated from now on will be uploaded there, so if you've been itching to put your skills to use, consider DONATING GRAPHICS so you can show off and be like "dude check this hella sweet set I just did".

As a thanks for your continued patience comment on this post to receive 1 random card!

And a million thanks to AJ who made actually gathering all these possible. As a tiny tiny note, if one of your sets isn't there it's because I was unable to download it!

So like some of you might have heard or read in the release post, since some of our mods have quit modding or are unable to dedicate as much time to it as they used to, we're going to recruit a few (probably 3-4 but maybe more) helpers so the games that currently don't have mods posting them could get back on track and also for possible help with services.

This is NOT new mod recruitment so you are not taking full responsibilities, but this is a chance for you to check if modding at Colors is for you and whether you'd like to apply when we open applications for actual mod positions in a few months.

The games that would be given to helpers are the following:

Acrostic Trading Post
Switch It Up
Ryoga's Directions
Peach's Birthday Party
Rolling Down the UMN
Art Submission Post

Please fill the following form and post it in a comment! Comments are screened and you may apply till Friday, May 23rd and after that date the helpers will be contacted.

Hi everyone! Have you seen Kazuya's Triple Spin Kick? It's a pretty devastating move, he claims. So devastating that he could probably wipe out unsuspecting opponents by doing just that, over and over. However, nobody likes spammers so how about introducing him to some other combos? The longer, the better! However, be careful, since if your combo gets interrupted, you have to start all over!
Rules
- Every week you will be able to pick a button, similar to how Pick a Color works. Every button can be either HIT or MISS.

- The number of HITs in a row you accumulate is the length of your combo but the moment you get a MISS, you lose all of it.

- You don't have to play every week to build up your combo! Time that passes between your HITs doesn't matter as long as you don't get a MISS. Feel free to skip a round or two if you decide that it's too high risk or you just don't have time to play!

- You are able to turn in your combos for prizes. Longer combos yield much bigger prizes but you have a greater chance of being interrupted so it's up to you if you'd rather take the risk or play it safe.

- When turning in your combo, please provide links to all HITs that are part of it. Also, once you turn in a combo, you can't reuse these HITs for your next combo.

- Please redeem your combos in THIS thread. There will be one posted with every round of this game.

In This Round
7 buttons are hiding a HIT!
3 buttons are hiding a MISS!

Rewards! )

Shikamaru's stuck on guard duty indoors during a gathering of characters so instead of cloud watching he's turned to shadow watching.

If you can tell Shikamaru the full names of the character and the series they come from you'll be rewarded 2 cards.

Thank you all who applied to be a game mod! It was wonderful seeing so many applications. A lot of you were very creative and thoughtful with your suggestions for the games. If you weren't chosen this time, I hope you will still be interested when we next look for mods!

I've contacted our new mods, and most of them are ready to go! You'll soon be seeing our games that have been missing! I look forward to their spin on the games, and I hope you are just as excited, if not more~

We are also now adopting the Asobot Initiative and making it an official activity! Please look forward to all the possibilities this may bring. :)
