Pot of Gold 40

Congrats to the winners of last month!

The object of the Pot of Gold is to complete different "tasks" that will be different every month. You'll get small rewards for completing them individually, but receive bonuses if you manage to complete all of them. How much of the rainbow can you complete?

- Everything collected and turned in for these tasks must be done and logged in between March 1st and March 31st, 2014. So you've only got one month!

- When commenting here after completing a task, make sure you label your subject with "Completed", as well as the color of the task you finished. Also, make sure you let me know if you've completed all of them so I can give you your extra reward! Note: As Deli did last month, I will try and process some of these early to spread my workload out if the chance arises, so if you're okay with receiving prizes early when you finish, make a note in your comment and I'll try to get to it sooner and deliver your cards/crayons early. Grand Prizes will all be handed out after the close date, however!

- Please give me a link to your logs with every comment you make.

- Pot of Gold tasks can only be turned in when the round is open, so that means that after 12:01AM EST on April 1st, you can't turn in anything even if your tasks were completed and logged in March! Even if you were on hiatus. It's just like with normal games, you can't reply to them once the round closes. If you need to fix a link or clarify something after this time, please reply to your comment or PM me; do not edit your comment after the deadline!

- Also, most of the prizes you obtain from Pot of Gold are valid for a set period of time. Special deck donations, however, are an exception - think of them as tickets that you can turn in regardless of when it was won.

Etria is a lovely town...a lovely town on the edge of an expansive forest, and the locals say there's more to it than meets the eye. The town's economy is built around exploring the labyrinth below, and supposedly all manner of treasure and amazing discoveries lurk below. Sounds like a great place to dig up some new cards!

Of course, it's dangerous, but if you band together with one of the local guilds, you're sure to get by just fine, right? ...right?

Get in, Colors. We're going adventuring.

RED: Guild Registration
Before you're allowed into the labyrinth, you need to get officially registered as a member of the Colors Guild - so you'll need to start by spelling your player name for the guildmaster!

Task: Turn in cards to spell your player name, up to four letters. Cards must be earned in March, but they need not start with the letter in question - it can be found anywhere in the deck name. You will lose these cards! (If your player name is shorter, just start over again until you fill up four, so that everyone is turning in the same number! So, for Sammich I'd spell "SAMM" and if I just went by Sam I'd spell "SAMS.")

Reward: 6 random cards

ORANGE: Expedition Funding
Before you get going, you're going to have to fund equipment and supplies, because those adventuring costs can add up fast!

Task: Gain 75 cards during the month of March! Please provide links and logs. These should come from games and services! Trades and gifts do not count.

Reward: 5 random cards

YELLOW: Get Equipped
And once you've got the funds, it's time to spend them. What kind of supplies do you think you're going to need to brave the perils below?

Task(s): Turn in 3 cards with deck names of things to help in your quest. These must be gained in March, and you will lose these cards. You might turn to "sword" or "armor" or "medicines" as needed equipment/supplies, or "attack" or "heal" as actions you might take, or "fire ball" as a special technique to get you out of trouble. If you can make it sound useful in a fantasy-adventure RPG, then you're good to go. This task has a lot of room for flexibility, so don't worry, because I will be similarly flexible in judging it and I encourage you to get creative! If you're not sure if something will work, feel free to ask me in the questions thread!

Reward: 6 random cards

GREEN: Information Gathering
Remember that old nugget of wisdom about talking to everyone in an old-school RPG to get all the information you can? Trading and talking are close enough for government work, I'm sure.

Task: Trade with 25 different players and turn in two sketchpads. Please provide links!

Reward: 5 random cards

BLUE: No Stone Unturned
The other key to success in any RPG is to explore everywhere. If you already use all of the services every month, you're primed to get things done, but if not, now's a good time to start!

Task: Use Recycled Art, Art Shop, and Art Studio at least once each in March. This can be for as little as claiming one card in RA or exchanging for one random at the Studio, or as much as maxing out your limits, so long as you do something there!

Reward: 5 random cards

PURPLE: Ultimate Killer Secret Technique!
Your best bet for survival is to master a variety of skills...or decks, decks work fine too. Show me your moves!

Task: Master two decks!

Reward: 6 random cards

BROWN: Bestiary Completion
You've got a bestiary, too - for keeping track of everything you fight and what you've learned from it. The best way to fill that up is by taking on as many different challenges as you can...and maybe if you really go all out, you'll get a little something extra?

Task: Earn cards in 15 games! You don't have to win the full prize available, as long as you gain at least one card from it. Exchange based games and luck-based/giveaways count as long as you're leaving with more than you put in! Repeating different rounds of the same game is fine to complete the task, but there's a bonus for playing 15 different ones.

Reward: 6 random cards. BONUS: If you submit 15 different games, you will also earn a bonus crayon!

GRAY: A Helping Hand
Everyone works hard to keep leveling and getting stronger, but sometimes having a higher-level character to watch your back is just what you need to take on tougher challenges and make your EXP totals soar. Help out some of the newer members of the guild with a gift or two!

Task: Gift 4 primary-leveled players! One card or crayon is all it takes, but if you're feeling more generous, you can certainly offer more!

Reward: 4 random cards + 1 crayon

You can earn up to a total of 43 random cards and one random crayon for completing the tasks for this month, not counting possible bonuses!

Completing all the tasks will earn you an additional 10 random cards, 2 random crayons and the GRAND PRIZE!

GRAND PRIZE A: Double rewards for 5 games.
GRAND PRIZE B: Double rewards for 10 sketchpads.

Neither of these prizes come with an expiration date, so you may hold onto them as long as you like before using them, but you must present your coupon and state how many uses you have remaining every time you use them!

You have until April 1st at 12:01AM EST to complete these tasks. Good luck!
