Advent Calendar Day 12

Day 12: Your character type?

Do you find yourself drawn to a specific type of characters? Maybe there's a particular trait your favorite characters share? Is it physical, maybe you like blondes or scarred or muscular characters? Or maybe a personality trait, maybe your type is loud, social characters or do you prefer loners? Is this something about their role in the plot? Do you like idols, magical girls, knights, thieves, scientists, little sisters? Maybe the thing that makes you interested is a specific power they have? If you RP, what kind of characters ping you? Do you think there's a particular Scrabook theme that is missing?

For answering this, you can immediately take a choice card of a character who fits the type you described (please explain how they fit) and three random cards that I'll be passing out. You have until December 31st to answer this, just like all other Advent Calendar days!.

AHAHAHA oh my god this question-- I'm pretty sure... everyone who knows me... can answer this for me... /dead

I don't make it a secret that there are two types of characters I like-- characters who are trolls, and characters who are brocons. ;u; I rp a lot of trolls, haha, and I find their speech patterns and thought processes a lot easier to follow. Conversely, I can't play nice characters for my life and it shows AHAHahaha sadlkfjsd. This is also why the majority of the OC's I make and prefer are trolls, and magnificent bastards, and lacking in a lot of social niceties. For the record, I define a 'troll' as a character who purposefully behaves or acts in certain ways to get a reaction out of other characters, particularly if they're a little bit of a bastard about it, and who hold ambiguous moral compasses. Not all trolls are made the same, however-- and I specifically prefer trolls who are magnificent bastards on the surface, but hold a key piece of humanity underneath their exterior. A bonus if they're unrepentant, unashamed and fairly blunt about their capacity for humanity. Double-bonus if they truly care about a certain person, about humanity at large, about the world, but are unrepentant about how much of a magnificent bastard they are. Especially if they have a younger brother.

... and yep I just rambled for a paragraph about trolls ;u; ... weh

I'll be taking sadist04 for my answer! Okita Sougo is a particular childish version of a bastard troll. Then again, almost all the characters from Gintama are trolly in one way or another-- it's just that Soujo stands out for his antics with Hijikata, and his refusal to grow up and act his age (except when he's fighting people, and sometimes not even then). Ultimately, he's a very childish character who has a very needy core, and this is contrasted with his often cruel exterior.
