A Challenger Appears! Round 01

Welcome to the first round of A Challenger Appears! This is a biweekly guessing game based on a fighting or colosseum-style tournament: your job, as the player, is to identify the challenger's next opponent based on a variety of types of clues (visual, audio, and/or text), which will vary from round to round. The hint will never be a full picture of the opponent, but rather an iconic weapon, theme song, attack, minion, location, or so forth that can be tied back to a single character, enemy, or boss battle.

Our challengers have been chosen to represent each of the colors of the Colors rainbow as they brave a series of opponents and strive for tournament victory. It seems like you can only choose Challenger Red for now, though I'm sure you'll unlock more characters as time goes by...

Now, on to the first round!


There are one... two... three of these guys roaming around the arena. Not too much of a challenge, right? They look kind of mean, and I bet they have an explosive temper, but Challenger Red doesn't seem worried. Maybe this is just a warm-up fight...

...However, you notice a similar, but much larger shadow in a corner of the arena, suggesting that these guys are small-fry. Minions summoned by a larger opponent to distract you, perhaps? You decide to investigate.

Forewarned is forearmed, so help Challenger Red prepare for his upcoming battle by providing the name of the boss that summoned the enemy pictured above, as well as the name of the video game that it comes from, for a total of four random cards. (Hint: this is a recurring type of enemy, but this particular boss battle comes from one entry in the series).
